Hello Greg. Thank you for your comments about “Gap Creek Falls”. That is the only waterfall within half an hour of home and I think it’s the most attractive one I have seen. It’s in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. Thanks again for your comments they are much appreciated.
Thanks for the kind remarks on Over looking the minarets. The minarets are not a moutain range the are a type of peak or spire. they are located in the northern Sierras.
Good Morning Greg.
You ae very kind with your nice comment about my Lillt Pad Lake. It is close but perfect it is not.I can see about five things that I would change if I had the time to do it over. I guess that is what keeps me going.
Now to answer your question;"Where exactly was this photo taken." I don't know how exacct you are looking for so let me give it a try. Lilly Pad Lake is four miles off of Froest Road 250. FR 250 is close to the small ghost town of Platoro, which is in the Rio Grande Natinonal forest which lies in the San Juan Montains in the southwest part of Coorado
USA.
In my opinion the San Juan Mountains are the most beautiful range in Colorado. If you need more information just send me a PM.
Stay tuned for more images from this area.

Thanks for the comments on my Morocco photos. The palm leaf in "Dades Peak" was used very deliberately to frame the mountain and give a contrast, as was the palm tree in "Enter the Sahara" kept in the middle to emphasize it's isolation.
Hi Greg. Many thanks for your encouragement on "Miss Hibiscus' Sister." I tend to be a bit less conservative when Arne leaves me on my own. ;o l am relieved to hear your words. We both appreciate it.

Greg,
As late as ever. It seems to be a part of my life. Please help me live with it. I am very happy that you did stop by and view my, Solitude Reworked. I feel that it is a calming image and the response to the errors that were in the first one helped me correct it to make it even better.

Hi Greg. Wow. Guess I don't blame you for that love/hate relationship with violets. I have to admit, they don't even smell that good and 8 hours a day with anything can be taxing. Thanks from Arne and I though. We appreciate you looking past that and leaving us some nice support there on "Ms. V's Wood Violetes-Collab." "Orchid 16 - Collab." was a bugger. There are still flaws some see and some do not depending on monitor settings. I had fixed those and was going to repost, but, I still have yet to do so since we posted so many anyway. I can't grow them but I'm happy to hear some are thriving under your TLC. ;) That's cool. As for "Gist of Twist Again," phew. That one almost pushed me right out of abstract land. My first rendition was horrendous enough that people really HAD to leave critique even if they normally woudn't! lol I spent weeks trying to accomodate each request. I didn't know a thing at the time so that one was by far my biggest learning image to date. It almost didn't make it here. ;o I'm happy to read you found it. Thanks for catching up with me. I enjoyed my reading today from one of my most trusted commentors.
Thanks for the comment on Last Words of the Missing, thanks for saying you liked the colors! Almost an hour getting and rotating the gradient to a nice look and the rendering came out not so good, my after work is what improves the image and is basically what I'm trying to portray as my style in art.
Thanks for the comments and the ID on "home grown orchids". These are actually my sister-in-laws orchids, I live in the chilly northeast! Hope your orchids put on a good show for you. It's incredible how long lasting the blossoms are.
Thanks Greg for the very nice comments on my Amicalola Creek 2 image. If you take a close look, you can see the early signs of Fall. I'm glad that you like it.

Greg, It's nice to hear from you. I would like to thank you for your comments on "Wallowa Lake Afternoon". It is a very beautiful and restful place. One would never know but at the far end of the lake is one of the most popular State Parks in Oregon. They have gone to great lengths to keep it clean and unobtrusive.

stops moving, subsidize it. -- Ronald Reagan (1986)

Greg;
It is a shame that you didn't have one more day in Laramie, Wyoming. My image; Medicine Bow Peak, Wyoming is only 24 miles from town. The next time you are there you mst do two things. Go to the Medicine Bow peak. and eat at a diner called
Wingers. Best BBQ in the west.

Glad you liked the steam loco "Dylta" and the carpentry work on the railroad station in Mariefred. I assume that Thomas the Tank Engine is a movie..a child movie..?
Thanks for your comment, Greg. -- Arne --
Hi Greg. Arne and I appreciate your support and encouragement on "Wake up Fall!" I also appreciate you taking the time to view the changes and leave supportive words for me on "Through the side window-Rework."
Thank you so very much for your wonderful comment about my; Sangre De Cristo Mountains image. I my opinion these are the second most beautiful mountains in Southwest Colorado. The San Juans being my favorite. I am lucky enough to have a cabin in the San Juans and only about 100 miles from these magnificent mountains. The name, Sangre De Cristo translates into The Blood of Christ. As the sun gets lower in the west (this side of the range) the mountains turn a deep red. Therefor the name given to the mountains by the Spanish explorers. I will be attempting to capture this color hopefully before the end of the year.

I am so glad that (Wonderland )brought you such happiness Greg. It was just like a dream. The day was just right for walking and they were persimmons, hickory nuts and walnut trees everywhere, thank so much for your response. Dwight.
Hi ya..I want to thank you for your great comments on my Almost Twilight Time photo...Its always nice when someone can truly "feel" a picture..thanx a bunch!!
Hey there, how are you doing?
Tks for your comments on Big Boy. Glad you liked it.
It was scanned and reworked to remove some junk. I was pleased with the outcome.

Hi Greg, tks for your wonderful review on Just Wading My Time!
I am glad you liked what I did with it. These are oldies I must add, where have you been? LOL

I went to photograph the sunset on that beaufiful evening but decided to change to some close-ups. My Sweetgum Sunset image was the result. Thank you very much Greg for viewing and commenting on this image. I'm glad you like it.

Thank you for your nice comment on the "glory of the ruins". I am glad you liked it. One of the greatest attractions in Jurassic Upland, Poland, where I took the photo, are the medieval strongholds and castles, creating a net called "eagles' nests". They were built of limestone upon rocky hills to protect the region. I have to admit Jurassic Upland is a beautiful region in Poland.
Kia Ora Greg, thank you for your very kind comments on Winter Dawn. I am pleased you like it, and appreciate your kind words. It is in fact a sunset, not a sunrise. :)

Thank you Greg for your nice comments on Name Your Poison...I believe the plant is poison ivy, at least that's what someone told me last year when I ran into this stuff...anyhow, I appreciate your visit and favorable review.:Pat
Hi Greg,
Thank you for taking a look at "Sanctuary at Delphi". I am glad you enjoyed it. We were in Greece at the right time to see lots of spring wildflowers and fresh leaves on the trees which added to the photographs, I think.
Thanks for your comment on my picture from Fort York. You got to stay in a place like that? Lucky you! I can't help but idolize how pleasingly simple those days seem...
High Falls Damsel Fly was a little fellow that I spotted in the under brush. He was co-operative and allowed me to get several photos of him. This was the best of the bunch. Thanks Greg for viewing and commenting on this image.

Thank you Greg for the comment you left on "Hungarian Parliament RW". Yeah I totaly agree with you about that scaffold. But unfortunately nothing could be done here. I could of try to remove the obstacle, but i'm not sure about the result tho.
Gregg,
I wish to thank you for visiting Equine Elegance. I love horses. I think most people do. They represent a wild sense of freedom we wish we all had. I’m glad you took the time to take a look at this pretty horse. Many thks.

Greg,
Thks for visiting “Architectural Design By Mother Nature”. Some of the best handiwork of nature is right under our noses. Such was the case with these ferns and their many pretty shades of green. Thks for stopping by.

Ladybug is a telephoto-macro with zoom of a little ladybug in my wifes flowers. The extreme settings caused some grain. Thanks Greg for taking the time to view and comment on this image.
