Thanks for your comment on Shade for Elephants. The lower animal is actually walking down the other side of the dam that creates the water hole.

Thanks Rick for your comments on "Portland Oregon From My Hotel Patio", "Oregon Trail Holdout" and "Camp Mooch". I'm pleased you like them.
I too plan to get back to the Wallowa area later this spring. It's kind of a traditional pilgrimage each spring.

Welcome to Caedes, I hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Hi Rick. Thanks for checking out "Joy ride". I read that Nat Geo article too. That was some where in Malaysia and I'am glad that elephants are not that badly treat here in Sri Lanka.

Hello Rick. Thank you for your comments about “Bimbadeen.”. I like the mystery aspect of this one too. Actually the road leads into a small park just over the rise with a lookout over the Hunter Valley. There wasn’t much to see at the lookout that day, just more fog :-)

Hi Rick, and thanks for your kind words on "Flypast". I spent another hour there with the camera yesterday, but most of the "action" shots just showed wings or tails :-(

Hi Rick,

I am happy to hear you liked "the glory of the ruins", despite their poor condition. The castle is beautifully situated, built of limestone upon rocky hills to protect the region. I have to admit Jurassic Upland is a beautiful region in Poland. If you like the theme I would like to invite you to visit the whole series in my gallery.

Thank you so much neighbor!! for the comment you made about my seagull and driftwood sepia photo. I appreciate that very much. I wonder where in Portland you live. I lived in Cedar Mill for 17 yrs...and just moved a few months ago out 'in the countryside' a few miles west of the tiny town of Banks, Or....its on hiway six going towards Tillamook. It's good to know there is another person in caedes from the Portland area....and thank you again for your very nice comment..verena
