Kia Ora Hiker, thanks for your nice comment on Sexy Rexy. I am pleased you liked it, even with the frame :) I tried it without but it just seemed too much pretty pink. Many of my earlier pictures have frames because they were done with my old 2 MP camera and not large enough to fill a larger screen. This one was not one of those but I just thought the frame improved it a bit. I appreciate your interest :)
You are correct. There was no additional coloring in the sunrise. My zoom goes so far, it gets the early colors instead of the whole scene. If you try to add color it gets too dark. Thanks for your comments.
** For the next few weeks, I will not be Commenting as much as I should, I Will be looking at ALL of your Picture posts...I apologise from the bottom of my heart for this...Things should be back to 'normal' after the holiday period**
Thks for stopping by "Finished1", Hiker. No, I didn't go in it. I would give my right arm to go in it. I shot that from the road quite a distance away. I ought to go ask those people if I could get up closer. My husband knows them. See ya.

Hello Don....Many thanks for taking the time to have a look at (MANOR) and for your kind comments...it is very much appreciated....Yes you are right about this being a beautiful place what ever time of the year...All the best...Mick.
Hi thank you so much for your wonderful comment on Sweet Dreams.. im so glad you liked it.. and i feel very honored that this is the first fractal image that you have saved for your desktop.. thankyou =D
hiker,
Thks for stopping by “Place of Dreams”. This is an old slide that I restored using photo shop. It was taken some 20 years ago somewhere in Texas by a stream. I blurred it up a little for the contest. Doubt that it will win anything but I like it. Also, thks for looking at Pink Parade and Cajun Rain.
Pat
Hiker - Thanks for stopping by to see the gilded Bugatti. I have posted two other shots of this car, you can search for a desktop image using the term Bugatti or go to my page and check them out.
Hiker,
Thankyou so much for viewing Cajun Rain. I’m glad you liked the little old time cabin sitting in the rain. I just adored that structure when I saw it, but the rain running off the roof got my attention even more. Thus the title. Glad you enjoyed.
Pat
Hiker,
I am so far behind my thank you’s, it ain’t even funny. So, please allow me (abeit late) to thank you for dropping in on the various compositions of the Louisiana Plantation series. We covered a lot of history, didn’t we? I learned a lot and I hope you did also. There’s lots more history to be explored and in time, we will do so. Thks again for all of your lovely comments.

Thanks Hiker, for your favourable words on "Triptych". Perhaps do not find everyone a frame beautiful. But some subjects ask simply for something special. As a result, get you then a eye-catcher.
Finely that I have share these picture with you.

Hello Hiker,
Reference "Alligator Alley"...I love the Louisiana swampland. It is so photogenic with it's cypress trees and wildlife. There have been quite a few referneces to this resembling a painting. I like that. Works for me. Thks for stopping by. I really appreciate it.

Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain
Thank you for commenting on my post "Still Waters". I hadn't noticed the tilt to the left but then as a liberal Democrat from northern Minnesota I have always had a tendency to tilt to the left.
Hello Hiker! Gator World was shot through a glass wall. The image quality was not what I wanted so I did some adjustments in Photoshop. I'm glad that you find this interesting.

Hello there Hiker! Belated thanks for your wonderfully supportive message about 'Sunlit Font on Abbey Ruins'. I'm delighted you find the scene as captivating as I did. Such a wonderful stroke of luck: I'd left my wheelchair-bound mother in the graveyard (still very much alive and enjoying the dappled shade, I hasten to add) whilst I battled through the undergrowth to get inside the abbey, just when a shaft of sunlight was falling on the font. Unbelievably, that magnificent old tree was growing in the very centre of what was probably the nave and it gives a wonderful contrast to the stone.
Thanks again for making time to leave such a lovely message. Greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the comments on 'Mount St.Helens' I really do appreciate it. If Mt.Rainier were to blow it would be very bad and it is an active volcano. I can see the top of it from here. Plus we can see Mt.Adams, another volcano.

Hello Don.....Thankyou for taking the time to have a look at (IRON GATE) and for your kind comments...it is very much appreciated...Yes you are right when you say the dark trees help to highlight the distant back ground...Thanks....All the best....Mick.
Hi Don ... Thanks an awful lot for the great comment on "Caedesian Cattle Car". Hope your upcoming trip to the Adirondacks is an enjoyable one. I'll be keeping an eye out for any "nuts" you might have found while there. :o)
Hi there, about my Bannack photo, yes you can go inside almost all of these little places. A few are not open to the public, but I was able to meet and talk to the Ranger Lady that lives near there, and she allowed me to go in and take pics of those that arent usually accessible. I will post some of the pics next week . Im leaving tomorrow(Sat) again til Tues, but then I'll be posting more. Thanx so much for your interest...verena
Hi there, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments for " Scottish Highland " they are very much appreciated. Glad you like it, Sometimes the merges work ok others not so good.
Thanks for the comments on 'Cispus River' very much appreciated. The water is cold and this area is about fifteen miles from the mountain at best guess. I'm sure there was a fair amount of ash here...not sure, most of it went east and hit us.

Hi Don,
Many thanks for your support and participation in the Gator Drama series. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Your comments kept me thinking and planning as we went. Many aspects of the drama were true. It was a dangerous place to be. There is a narrow gravel road around the lake and gators will come up on it to “greet” you. The marsh hens really did give me a scare and the gator really did get much too close to me. Thks again for all the fun your comments provided. I see your name finally leaked out. It wasn't me!
Pat
Hi, thanks for taking a look at New Years Bliss and leaving a comment. You wouldn't believe how many attempts it took to get the sun perfect aligned behind the branch of the tree. So I am really pleased you mentioned that specifically :)
Hello Hiker, thanks for your positive comments on "reflections", I don't know what slanted means (too full maybe?)but I don't have photoshop and besides; I just like my view the way it is(LOL), glad you liked it too !!
He got that close to me because I wasn't paying attention. I was busy photographing some marsh hens. Oh well, I lived to tell about it. Thks for viewing.

Thanks for the comments on 'Mt.Rainier from Randle' very much appreciated. This area even though close to St.Helens was not affected. This is logged off, what they call clear cutting which leaves nothing.

Thanks for the comments on 'Mountain Trail' much appreciated. No I didn't camp here, I don't think you can up here, not sure. Bear and Cougar are a real threat here as well and hiker are told what to do should encounter either one. Poop your pants, scream, and run like crazy.

Hey Don, Ref: Sunset, Louisiana Style.Thks for taking a look at this. I like it too if I do say so. It was a beautiful sunset. I could have "gussied" it up a little but that was straight out of the camera. Nothing done except to run it through "Neat Image" to reduce some low light noise.

So glad you came by to see "Freedom Flight" Don. It's actually on the railing of my favorite restaurant there...Shugru's at Hillside Shopping Center. Glad it brought good memories for you. Thanks for your kind words. Anita

Hey again Don,
Thks for visiting "Artistic Logs". My new camera is eating my lunch right now. So much to learn. But, I know I will like it. Thks for taking the time to comment.

Thanks for your kind comment at ‘Raging Waters’. Since so many people ask where it was taken, I’ll include it in the description to save myself some time haha. But it was taken in Bird Bay in South Australia.
