Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
If your parents ever come to the Dallas area, ask them to plan a 24-hour day, and I'll see that you get your wish to photograph the moon.
Click on my website and you will get a small sample of the observatory. It is a two-hour trip from DFW airport to the facility. The only condition is THEY MUST accompany you.
Never, never accept an invitation on the INET without your parents being a part of it. If they agree, they can contact me through my email address, and we can work out the details.

Thank you for you comment on Catherine's Palace. St Petersburg is very far north, near the Arctic Circle. The light blue is made because the sunlight must travel through a lot of the atmosphere and is scattered a lot. The darker blue is because blue light is not scattered as much as the rest of the colors and you are looking through much less air.
The farther you go north, the more dramatic the effect gets.
I often use a special filter that only lets light that is scattered in a certain direction enter the camera lens. This makes the sky appear much darker without changing the subject very much.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Hey Emily..thanks for your kind comments on "High Falls B&W"...I really like your thoughts about B&W, I never thought about it as being frozen in time, but you're definitely right. I'm glad to see another fan of B&W...it seems like they are few and far between on here!!
The whole old city has been restored since my photo of the courtyard. A picture of the completed restoration shows the complete restoration of the old palace. I hope you get to visit this city someday. about a block to the west is the Frauenkirche. This beautiful church was completely destroyed shortly in WWII. Dresden, the capital of Saxony, has some of best examples of baroque architecture in the world.
Tivoli Gardens is a 164-year-old amusement park in Copenhagen, Denmark. I first visited when I was about your age. It is truly a place with fun for all. I hope you get to go there someday.
Hi Emily, Thanks so much for leaving a comment on Butterfly and a Bloom. I am very happy that you liked it. I'm glad to hear that you sketch or draw. I like to do that too, but I haven't done it in a long time. Will you post some of your sketches? Cindy

Hello again. I read the other comment first, so I didn't know you were sketching the monarch in Queen of the Garden. That would be wonderful if you posted it. I am very flattered that you would find my images worthy of your sketching. Thanks again. Cindy
