Hi Jennifer. Thanks for adding me as a friend. Welcome. This is an immensely complex site. I'm still discovering things. In fact I only just started using the friends button and here you are already. You probably read directions and I just jump in without looking. Love Phoenix. Lots of good photo ops there. So from one Gram to another a big warm welcome.

Thanks for commenting on Vizsla. Ri is my daughter's dog and is 3 years old. I have pooch-watched often and always enjoy his company. Now he is going a good job of adjusting to a sibling of the 2-legged variety.

Jeen,
they use this size because of the space, it would be hard to accomodate big size pictures, they take too much space.
Sorry about the barn.
I think the homesite deserves separate picture. You can do whatever you please with them, it's all up to you.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for the comment on "Day at the Beach," which ironically, was taken in my bedroom, I was testing out my camera (it was new at the time) and the best thing I could think of to photograph were seashells. As for the lens, it's just a lowly cannon 3x zoom on my 2mp A60 :)

Cheers.

Hey, Jennifer! I am not too familiar with Isle of Palms, but Charleston is right near by. There is a billion places to photograph there - particularly, The Market (an old Slave Market area that is now like a flea market, but some very interesting local handmade items can be found there; specifically, baskets), Fort Sumter, Charles Town Landing, The Battery, Rainbow Row (line of houses, seen in a lot of paintings), The Citadel (SC's military college), churches, old pirate prisons, etc. Also, the new Thomas Ravenel Bridge is a spectacular addition to the Charleston area. A friend from college worked on it in an engineering capacity. You picked the right area to visit in SC; so much history right in that area. Otherwise, the beaches there are touristy. Kiawah and Seabrook Islands nearby are a little more "unspoiled". Be sure and eat at the Shipwreck, a very small old house where you can eat your fill of fresh shrimp. Mmmmmm!

Hi Jen -Glad you like distant peaks - Terragen is a program that allows you to create alien and mega realistic landscapes from scratch. You can alter the clouds, height and type of land, the atmosphere, the sun and its colour etc - try it out - you can download it - just type it into to google. (It can be quite hard to use at first so i suggest you look at the help files/tutorials on the website.
Thanks also for the comments on 'Clouds...' i like pictures which show as much as possible.

Jennifer, Thanks for your suggestion regarding "ethereal rainforest". I'll play with the contrast using PS7 and see what effect I get. Les

Jennifer, Thanks for your comments on "It's Final...I'm Not Coming Down". I do not get too many unexpected photo opportunites. The cat's eyes are really very bright, but then I took it in total darkness. Your comments are always appreciated. Sherree

Hi Jennifer, You have my eldest daughter's name.
Love your shot of the Slot Canyon, which I saw in Olie's favourites. I've spent a lot of time in the SouthWest, and am still looking forward to getting my first Slot Canyon shots. I find them absolutely intrigueing.
Regards.
