Thank you for the comments on "Tired Metal" and "The Gulls".
That is so weird how people evaluate balance in photos. To me, in "The Gulls", the pic is now balanced, following (not to the letter) the rule of the golden line (not in center, a little offset). Somehow the composition I left it at is most pleasing to my eye.
But I do realize it propably is not for many others. Maybe it is my partially rebellious nature. We are told to leave the subejct in the center, or position it so that there are balancing factors. I try to veer away from those, however, without falling too far. Interesting words from you.
And so true, that should've been the caption. =)

For our dreams we will fight, and we'll write
the future history less bloody than the past,
with our dreams we'll build a peace to last!"

Thanks for taking the time to comment on "Still Closed..." we were actually aiming for an ugly-beautiful concept, with the pole representing the "ugly" & the quaint little fish market & town as the "beautiful"... I guess we should have conceptualized it better :) I really appreciate all your input & will put it to use.
Thank you, Jim, for taking the time to comment on "Grandpapas" and yes, I did take a few photos of the old boys - the characters in this country are Three A's: amazing, amusing, abundant.
“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
Thanks for your comments on the "done for the day". Staged it was indeed. There was really no other way to do a studio shot. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thanks for the input
Thanks for the comment on Lizzie visiting. You're right not a lot of contrast but then I didn't manipulate it in any way. This is the raw shot as it came off the camera. Thanks anyway - appreciate the input
Hello Jimmy and thanks for your positive feedback regarding 'Reach for the Gold.' It was particularly encouraging after I checked out your own work and saw that indeed you are an excellent artist. I'd say 'The Road Less Traveled,' 'Misty Creek,' and 'Misty Morning in October' are masterpieces.
Hi Jim, Thanks for your opinionon my photo Original of Self :) I agree with you entirely. I like to take pictures that do not scream out it's topic, subject, idea... I adhere to the idea that if you don't have to think about how you feel towards a photo, painting or structure, its not art.
