Hi John! Thank you for the wonderful words on "Ancient Fossil Forest, "Supplicants", "Avian Journey" and "Peacefull Days". Very much appreciated and a nice surprise;-)
John, thanks for your comment on Fog at Pulpit Rock. I actually got a little lost in the fog and came on this scene unexpectedly. Glad you liked the photo! ...Mike
Thank you for taking the time to comment on "Tree Graveyard" I really appreciate the comments of fellow posters on this site. To answer your question, this photo was taken about 5 minutes from my house. Upstate NY, Hudson Valley, about 2 hours North of NYC.

Hey John, thanks for all your recent comments on my photos. I really appreciate it. To answer your question on (Reflecting at Day's End), I took the picture on my recent trip to Germany, this little marina town was just off of a large lake south of Munich. Thanks again :)
Thanks John for your honest comments on my Pear photo. I went for a dramatic lighting on a simple object to explore the beauty of this single pear. I'm glad that you liked it and I enjoy your comments.

Thank you John for your feedback on my Train Wheel photo. I'm glad that you liked it enough to make the nice comments. It looked like a mechanical face to me when I first saw it.

Hello John! Thanks for viewing and commenting on my Baskets photo. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Those baskets were the only thing in the room and they were sitting in the sunlight just begging to be photographed.

Wow John you've been busy. Thanks for your support and I'm glad you liked "Smoky Mountain Dreamscape". It really is a most beautiful place to visit in the fall.
Thanks for your comments on Lembert Dome and Another Eastbay Sunset -- about the first, yes, I actually did rattle off a *lot* of pictures there. Very photogenic. Made me wish I had more memory and a better camera :)
Thanks for commenting on those three pictures. I was wondering there was other people like me who sometimes just start looking through one persons gallery.

Hey John .. thanks for your comments on the "Gooo o' sugar shack" , my posting Warm days, cold nights 4. Glad you liked it. We're all off to the Elmira Maple Syrup festival on Saturday. The intimate gathering of 60,000. We've long since learned to arrive early and leave early before the crush of the crowd!
Thanks John for the nice comments and votes for this image. Dog Ball was an unplanned grab shot that turned out nice. I'm glad that you could see the beauty in common everyday stuff. No it's not shag carpet but it is old like me. I just wish that I had a camera when viewing the millions of images that I didn't photograph in my life.

Hey John, you can be sure that it's not my yard (posting = "some peoples desktop"). It was found on a backroad near Thedford, Ontario. I'll have to go back and get some more shots .. it was probably 3 acres surrounding an abandoned farm house with every turn providing the same density of JUNK! ...fun to see but I sure wouldn't want to start the clean up with anything less than a bulldozer!
Hi John...thank you for your appreciation of Water Colors #10...glad you liked it well enough for your desktop...yes, it was fascinating watching the colors and changing sky as it grew more threatening...I appreciate your visit and nice comments.:Pat.
Hello John. Just one year since you joined the site. Happy birthday ;-)
Thanks for looking at 'New movie theater'. About the architecture, I visited the town of Quebec a few years ago. The architecture is very similar than in Belgium... :-)
Stir Fry Starter Kit was just the starting items for my stir fry. I added garlic, sugar peas, broccoli, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, baby corn, shrimp, chicken and a stir fry sauce. The original ingredients were just too pretty not to use for a still life. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the nice comments John. I appreciate your support of this image.

Hi John
Thanks for your nice comment on "Old Belgian mining compex 3"
Its for sure a photographers dream over there and i made a lot of shots there
I posted 4 of them..but didn't got the idea they were appreciated so much...so I won't post anymore of them.
But I am glad you like it.
Thank you John for your comment on "Retired". I have another snapshot on this boat, which in my opinion is better, but unfortunately there are some caravans in the background.
Hey John, yes I loved the pic. I am a NEWBIE here really as far as comments goes... :) But have really been getting into it lately. P.S. TY for liking my Icon!!! ;)
Hi John, thank you for leaving a comment on "Tension", much appreciated. I'm glad you like it and I'm happy that you find it calming despite of the image title.
Thank you for your visit to turning yellow. I am glad you liked it. It is good to know that we have something in common: photography and yellow foliage, lol. I am obssessed with fall season shots you know. Stay tuned.
Hello John.....Thankyou for your kind comments on (GLENSHEE) and for the high marks...This part of Scotland is so beautiful, mabey thats why so many artists capture it on canvas and for the photographer its paradise....Have a nice Xmas.....All the best ...Mick.
glad you liked my picture "Red'nRusty" and I thank you for leaving a comment. You are right, I have taken some more shots but they were not as good as this one. But maybe I will post one more of them. If I decide to do so, I will let you know.
Hello John...thanks so much for dropping by with your interesting comments on Harrison Park...glad it appealed and sparked some good old memories for you...I am delighted to hear you are familiar with Owen Sound...I was born up there but have lived here in Toronto most of my years...spent lots of time as a kid at Harrison Park and Sauble Beach...I have been to Inglis Falls but no pics at present...thanks again...always good to hear from someone aquainted with an area.:Pat.
John...thanks also for your comments on Field of Snow...glad you liked it...I agree about it being hard to get a good snow drift shot, especially these days around Toronto with no snow...this shot was taken outside of T.O. on No. 10 highway on the way up towards Owen Sound...open fields and snowbelt area once you start heading up near Shelburne.:Pat.
Hey there....You know who NEEDS high marks.....WE have texture...without which these other 'high ranking' images would be nothing!!! Now... I need to revisit KEIFER'S post Re: If You (BLANK) You Might Be a Caedesian.' You should read it if you haven't already...VERY funny!!! Cheers...Textuarian!!!
Dear John, Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments :) on the Jefferson Memorial...actually I purposefully took the shot with the trees in the way, initially I saw it and I really liked the view -- kinda artsy ;) hahahaha.....
thank you for your coments on "Shadow Play" I appreciate them. The location actually is in the description. The Bookcliff mountains, in Grand Junction, Colorado.
thank you for leaving me numerous comments on my picture. I am glad you liked them enough to take some time and tell me your thoughts about them. Your kind words are really appreciated.
Hey John! thanks for your comment on In bloom....i could understand why you don't like fractals...its probably because not much effort was put into creating them... what i did was go back with the fractal and play around with it in photoshop to create the depth...Thanks for your sweet comment...
Hello John and thank you for your comment on "Hello". I wasn't bored at all when I photographed my pink cellphone. That shot belongs to my "Pretty things" project. Have a nice day. Anca
Hi John, thanks for stopping by and commenting on "A Walk on the Beach." I too, am usually not a fan of the black borders, but in this case, the dimensions of the picture were a bit too small, and I had to add them in order to upload the image at a proper size. I've been up to the island hundreds of times, and I've never even attempted fishing yet! I think that I will make this a challenge of mine this summer. It is one of my favourite places in Ontario to visit. Thanks again :)
John, Thanks for your complimentary comment on "ritual of the dancing lights". I. too, like the way it came out but judging from its c-rating, we're evidently in the minority. Oh well. I just visited your gallery and added "Moon River" to my file of landscape screensavers. Judging from its c-rating, everyone liked that one. Les
Hello again John. This time I'm messaging to thank you for you comments on "stuck in the 70's. Glad you enjoyed it. This image has had far more comments than any other I've posted. Later that day, I took another shot of an aging hippie which I recently posted as "lunch with grandpa". I'm wondering if these guys are the real thing or street characters working for the town of Woodstock like Mickey Mouse in DisneyWorld. Either way, the pictures do seem to help recall memories for our baby boomer generation. Les
Hi John.
Glad you liked the Poppies. Enjoyed your gallery very much. Probably because I tend to find picture potential in practically everything, as you do. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi there John ! Thanks bunches for dropping by Dance Of The Seven Veils & commenting. I'm so glad you enjoyed it ! And it was created with a program called Apophysis. Download it & have a ball ! But I warn you, it can be addicting !
Thanks very much John re your comments on my Not really a flower. I like this one myself for the colours and close up view! Thanks for your encouragement!
Kate
Hi Kate ( from the island ),
Thanks for the positive feedback on "Kee Canoe".
Would the island be Newfoundland ?
Hello John,
No I'm across the water - in the Outer Hebrides of NW Scotland. I'm on what are called the Western Isles, my one is the Isle of Lewis. I'm about 30 miles from mainland Scotland.
I'm afraid we don't have beautiful canoes here - just glass-fibre ones. Kate

Hi there
Thank you for looking at my gallery. I'm glad you liked my wide, sweeping landscapes. I'm very fortunate to have some lovely places to go to! Thanks again, Kate
Thanks for the comment on The Most Important Thing..., it's greatly appreciated! Although, I know where you're coming from with your comment, I disagree.

Hi John, I enjoyed viewing your gallery...great work. Yeah, New River Gorge is a really pretty place in our beautiful state. I hope to make it down that way sometime this summer.
Hi john and thanks for the comment on 'X-1'. I'm liking your gallery too, you've got some unusual subject matter in there that makes a refreshing change from flowers! lol.
i apologize for my delay in replying to all of your wonderful comments...i am busy working a couple of jobs and enjoying the last summer with my friends
