hi manik , thanks for your evaluation on my « hiding in the grass » image, i am glad you enjoyed it so much. thanks for taking the time to view my work. hope to hear from you again.:-)
Hey Manik, thanks for the great comment and vote on (Biven's Arm). Not a whole lot of beautiful sites around this city to share, but I'm glad you enjoyed that one~
About " Spiderman". I guess from back leg to front leg around 3-4 inches..
In Sweden that is a big spider! And this was the biggest i ever seen...
But if we look at the whole planet there is some real monsters walking around!!!!!!
Compared to them this is not so big... But enough for me!!... Lol
Thanks for your interest!! / Tommy
Thanks for your comments on "the river". Do you have any suggestions for camera settings to possibly bring the background more into focus? I'm still using automatic settings on my camera until I learn where I need to be.
Lake District, UK huh? I'll totally have to check that place out next time I'm over there. I greatly appreciate the info. Keep up the awesome work man. Peace.
Thanks for your comment on electrified... you guess was very close.... the big red patch is a firework..the red and green streaks are the traffic lights and the white is a street light
...... :D
*~I feel myself going down. Again into this despair I trod. Trying to pull myself up again, before you came, failing everytime. But somehow you rescued me from the depths, and I stand proud to be your love~*
Thanks for your comment on "Beyond the Beyond". I actually upload it at a resolution of 1280 x 960 which is significantly larger but the guys at caedes crop it down to that size for whatever reason. :)
hehe. Thanks for takin a look at my "Branching off into the sky" too. I didnt see the dolphin either. I think hes gonna send me a close up of what he saw.
Hi Manik. I saw your comment on My Way, the shot of the crane against the sunset, and I wanted to thank you. Comments like that are what keep me contributing to Caedes.
Thanks for your comments on A Quiet Place. I haven't done any soft focus in photoshop, but I assume you mean making the light areas blur out some. Is this an auto filter, or do you just mask and blur selectively?
Thanks so much for the comment on 'Square World'. I used Photoshop Elements for this one -- I just cut and pasted parts from the original pic to create the square shape, then used the clone and smudge tools to meld the different layers together smoothly. Thanks for the tip on the perspective; I can see what you mean and I'll definitely fix that. (Would it be worth resubmitting the wallpaper as a rework just to fix that? Hmm...)

Thanks for your thoughts on "Turning Colors". I am almost certain I turned the flash off. I agree with you, it does looked "flashed", but it is significantly brighter than a few similar shots, and I am not sure that is all from aperature variables. Maybe I could try to brighten the other images and soemthing positive would come out of ti all. Thanks. :-)
Hi Manik, Really appreciate you taking the time to comment on "Eagleville dam". Taking shots on a nice sunny day seems so much easier than when the light is low. Still don't have a tripod for my digital.
Thanks for your feedback. And i have a question. Can you add a higher resolution version without having to upload a whole new picture? Also, why do you need such a high res? do you have like a 21 inch moniter? Thanks.
lol :-P well I DEFINATLY see your point about the 4x4 ..kind of takes away from the title "ghost town" lol. ..i prolly will delete it and post another version ..but its kinda small so hopefully it wont matter that much.Actually it was kinda hard to get the right angle and to not take away from the track dissapearing and what to focus on and everything so I just tryed to the best I could. I appreicate the comments though.

Thanks Manik for the comments on my Macon Sunset 2 photo. I'm glad that you like it. It was a bland image until I overlayed some extra color and bumped up the contrast.

Hi Manik, thanks for taking a look at my "seasonal refraction". I posted it hoping you would not miss it. Your refraction, for me was a 10/10. Mine is more subtle and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
cheers for the comments on let there be light
it from a series of 3 images i have done around the lightbulb theme
and i know what your saying but i try'd differing light variations and that one just looked the best
thanx for your opinion

Thank you Manik for your comment on my image. I'm glad that you like my Campfire photo. I was sitting around the campfire after a full day of hiking and photo taking and just couldn't stop. The flames drew me in and I just had to capture it in a photo.

Thanks for the kind words on "orchids". I was really pleased with the results of this "staged " shot. Been under the weather for a bit, so if I haven't commented on any of your work recently, just give me some time to catch up.
Hey Manik! Thanks for the comments on "local color 2". I think you're right about the colors being brighter against the grey sky. Even though it was a bit chilly, I had a nice day shooting.
Thanks for the comments on Grand. Man, I wish that piano was mine! It actually belongs to Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I have a friend who goes there and uses the recording studio.
Thanks for the comments on golden river. I tried cropping out the bank (photo size plenty big enough to still get hi res) and I think I really lost out on the depth of the shot. As it is, I cleared a few stray branches and tall grass from the shot. I'm glad you're straight with me, though. I tend to get too close to my stuff.
Manik - thanks for your post on 'Sentinels' - I'd have taken a shot with more sun/light but it was really windy/rainy at that moment and my camera isn't waterproof. I plan to go up there again when summer kicks in...
Hey Manik, thanks for the comment on "Autumn Days 2", I'm happy you liked it. I'm going digital in the next few months so higher res will be an option :o)
Hi Manik, I like your new icon! Thanks for the comments on "golden gazania". I was mostly playing with the film grain in order to soften the image. And when I did that, I have to smudge up all the rough edges.
Thank you Manik for viewing and commenting on my Over The Hill photo. I'm glad that you took a liking to it. This image was originally in color but I didn't like the tones so I converted it to a sepia tone.
Russ
Thank you for posting a comment about the picture Stuck. Also I do have a blur problem guess i'm just shaky but i'm working on it thanx (got a tripod lol). Thanks again.

In regards to your faint wisps picture, id agree the sky does look pretty nice that day. Im glad you had a reason for mostly sky. High marks on that shot.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
Hey Manik,
Thanks for the feedback on "November Sunset" or should I say moral support. Seems you and I are the only ones that appreciate a good sunset. I was soo happy cause I caught it shooting full size on my camera...............John
Thank you for the very nice compliment on "A Slice of Oregon." I was originally from Arizona, but have been here about 12 years. I'm still surprised quite often coming around a corner and finding yet another striking scene. I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, and thank you for letting me know. Steve
Hey Manik, good to hear from you again. Glad you liked the "crystal sunrise". I definitely don't get out as much with the camera in the colder months. We still have a couple of feet of snow at the end of the driveway!
