I am happy you like "Reaching for the light". It is one of my favorites :-). Thank you so much for the great words about it, always greatly appreciated!
Thanks very much Karri, Appreciate your nice comments on "The window". It was about 4 hours of work with the magic wand and the Clone Tool in Photoshop. I wanted to try a Real Hard one, and the leaves certainly proved to be a challange!! I really like the Technique and have alot more respect for it now!! :-)
Hey Karri..thanks so much for having a look at "Pennypack Creek Panorama"...still haven't gotten out, but I've been sorting through the HD for some forgotten stuff...hope that will tide me over for a little bit!
Thanks Karri for your nice words on Carcassonne in Orton. I really appreciate your comment. Orton effect gives a bit of a 3D / dreamy effect to a photo.
Hey Karri...thanks for commenting on "Summer Reflections"...I hope things settle down for me too, but I don't think that's going to be happening once the new year comes along!!
Hello Karri, thanks for the wonderful comment on "A November Morning" I really do not remember how I did that framing. ?? Sorry. I always like hearing from you. Sandi♥

I can't really think of a place in the world that is not beautiful. Russia spans 14 times zones and probably as many different kinds of beauty.
Peter, IMHO, is the most beautiful city in the world. This is probably becaus it is so new. It is about 350 years old, but had to be completely rebuilt after the siege of WWII. Since Putin was mayor of Peter and he has strong ties to the area, they are one of the richest cities in Russia, after Moscow.
Rich is a relative term, since Russia is a very poor country.
I'm pleased you enjoyed your visit. Thanks for your comments

G'day Karri,
Thanks for the nice comment on Industrial Sunset. PJ (Phasmid) did a rework of it, removed the tower and the power lines, did an amazing job, most people prefer the rework, worth checking out.
Peace,
Mikel.
ps Did you know we have a tree in Australia named after you? :) The Karri tree is one of the largest hardwood trees in the world, rivals the famous Redwoods. http://www.australiassouthwest.com/en/Natural+Wonders/Forests/default.htm part way down the page, just in case you were curious. :)
Thanks for the comments on Coconina. The recent crackdown on snapshots will probably knock this project in the head. I'll keep trying, but I will probably have to just wait until the bug flies out of their ear.

Thanks, also, for the comments on the Grand Canyon. Perhaps the next time I'm out west, I will take a detour and photograph some of the features digitally.
If I go down to the river, I'll ride the mules, next time. The hike back up is long and arduous.

Thanks for your comments, Karri. The pan strip was a great Photoshop learning exercise. It is easier locating the matching points than old-fashioned blinking.
The Colosseum rework was only a color shift change to eliminate the excess cyan brought on by the deterioration of dyes with age. The latest version of Epson's Twain software has a densitometric function that allow the user to sample areas in the scan and make precision color corrections. The best estimate for color correction came from sampling the flesh tones of the young woman in the foreground.

I wish I could have seen more of the building, too, but it was about a 30-ft drop and I couldn't lean any further. As best I can reckon, it is almost due south of the Sistine Chapel and west of the Papal apartments and the Apostolic Palace. The visitor's map only labeled the parts of the palace that contain the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum, the Papal Apartments, St Peters Basilica and Square. No other structures were labeled. That beautiful garden and the structure were not open to the public. It is like a little oasis surrounded by some old so-so looking buildings (God's Little Acre, maybe).

Hi Karri,
Sorry for responding so late.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment on Frosted Lavender. It's very sweet that you were willing to share some snow!
It's always a pleasure to hear from you.
