Thanks Kirsten for your post on Sea Meets Sky. Not a fan of Terragen/Bryce/Vue etc myself as they are often very generic and ham fisted renderings that appear on here but I was glad to find a location to shoot that put all those programs to shame :-)
Thanks Kirsten for your cryptic and cool comments on "Getting the Bigger Picture" and "Picnic Anyone?". I really appreciate you taking a look at my gallery and I'm glad you liked it.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling; “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Thank you for your comment on Niagara Horseshoe Falls Ca. yes I Know to much mist I wish I could remove it to but when the sun is out it makes for nice rainbows...Thanks Kirsten.
Kirsten, welcome to Caedes, it really is a wonderful international community here. Thanks for your comments on my Rippled Dune photo. Your ambition to slide down a dune is quite in order...people use the steeper dunes for exactly such fun...even a few folks on snowboards. Most of the sand is very fine in texture and some of the dunes are remarkably steep, and several hunderd feet high! Mike
"It is important to remember that these things, the machinery of photography are no more than a means to an end. It is easy enough - and a blind alley - to mistake those means for the end itself." - Charlie Waite
Kristen,
Thank you so very much for visiting my, Pawnee Buttes, the western end of the, Great Plains . I am flattered by your comment. But WOW! your road trip is just a beautiful image. I have always dreamed of visiting your country. I would like to spend a year on the South Island just doing my photo work.

Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art.
It is a solar phenomenon,
where the artist collaborates with the sun.

Kirsten - thanks for the post on Great Wave. Dont know what the translation of the type is but its from one of Hokusai's other paintings and includes his signature.
Hello Kirsten, nice to hear from you.
It's funny, your comment to the beach. I have been to New Zealand in '95 with, at that time my girl friend (now my wife) and my sister and her friend. He was born in NZ and we did a youth hostel and b&b tour then. We also visited his family and stayed for 4 weeks. We saw both Islands and we were amazed by all the natural beauty. We have seen quite our share of the world, but we still value our time in NZ the most. And now you want to go to our beach... Well, I promise you this, you can stay with our family all summer through, if we can stay with you during our winter! There is just one condition, you will be required to baby sit my kids, (2 and 5 ages). Well ?????
Thank You Kirsten for your lovely comments on "Washington Shoreline". I'm pleased you liked it.
A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Hello Kirsten,
Thank you for your comments about “Gap Creek Falls”. No need to apologise for the double posting, when your saying nice things like that you can leave as many as you want :-) I agree about the tree, it would take a chainsaw and some serious climbing gear to get rid of it so it stays. Thanks again. Your comments are much appreciated.
