I love watching it. The aurora we see here is of course Aurora Australis - what a wonderful sight. We have not had a display for a very long time though.

Hello Lady of the Great White North. I saw that you visited and enjoyed my "Snowy Egret" image. I love those creatures, and I get a bit obsessive about photographing them. Lately I'm thinking I've spent too much time on them, and have been a bit distracted by the work we've been doing to rebuild our lives after Katrina devastated my neighborhood, but I shall have to resume my work. Thanks for the encouragement.

Amaris, I loved your "Silence." Some of the works I am most proud of that I have posted have been my artworks. And by far, the worse c-indexes I have received have been on my artworks. I trying believe that the views/downloads are a much better gauge if a work is good or not. I have one creation that has been on for a month now. It has 300 views / 204 downloads and a c-index of 56. I cannot explain how the voting can be so far off from the downloads where people are giving up hard drive space to have a copy! Please, keep posting art and I am very glad that you liked "In The Middle of No Where." - John

Thanks very much for your comments on Smugglers Cove. I know it doesn't meet my other work. It was taken with a simple point and shoot camera but the colors were so pretty that I thought I would share it. It was also taken a several years back and I scanned it from the original print. The more recent work is taken with either the Digital Nikon D3000 or the Mamiya 645 PRO TL. As those are both superior cameras I cannot agree more with your evaluation. Thanks though for stopping by.
