Ian; aka ianmacappin was puzzling out 'tiling'. I had sent him some tutorials beforehand and then I came across the online chat featuring Platinus on dA. So ...
Following along (not that hard really, as it is spelled out for you more or 'les's :oP) ... "Linked" came into being.
The addition of a Final Transform and some experimentation and ... ta ... and da.
I was quite pleased with the results myself. And agree on the watch and watch fob visual impression.
What kept me enamoured and going forward ... was seeing some of the other tiled Apophysis images. I am endeavouring to try and come up with another. Can't remember if it was one of Platinus', or that of shrtgreenpig(?) ... but, I was blown away.
Combines the geometrics that I personally enjoy.
And truth be known, as I sometimes do ... I rushed this one a tad given the new release/version at that time.

Hi Lauren, the whole of Spring Breeze was used in Wizard's Gem; partly as the manipulation and partly as an underlying layer. I think you're right about the reflection; I had used autolevels to bring out the fire in the heart of the gem, but the whites got whiter too. :-) (Maybe they should sell Autolevel Washing Powder). It occurs to me there's probably a way to bring out the gem's 'fire' without touching the reflection. Really appreciate your advice. :-)
