Thanks for the comments and support of my Mountain Stream 6 photo. This was taken with a digital camera set on ISO 64, F8 and about a 1 second shutter speed. I used a tripod, polarizing filter and the self-timer. The focal point was the middle of the picture for a better depth of field. I'm glad that you liked it.

Thanks Lauren, I share your feeling on the Lonely One. I think it was a time when neighbors looked out after one another, and families got together once in while. When i find one of these places i like to set on the porch and think what it was like. Dwight.

Good morning
Thank you for your appreciation of "Concrete Knot". A few years ago I used to work in the building next to the park where this sculpture is, and when needing a break from the stress would sit on a seat near it. Have often wondered about the preparation and work that went into this piece of art.
Enjoy your day

Hello; Thanks much for your lovely comments on "Top Heavy". I'm pleased you like it.

The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hi Lauren, many thanks to you for stopping by to view "A Painting of Autumn"! That was too cute, you remembering our little pink hearts, and you are right on the money, the shade of pink is identical! If I remember well, they also had little sayings of a sort on them, didn't they? Smiling! I appreciate your visit! Sincerely, Marilyn
