Hello Manuela.
Welcome to Caedes. I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do.
I just dropped by to say Thank you for your comments about “Gidgit”. I tried to impart a sense of motion in that image. She is not the fastest dog in the street but she outmanoeuvres all of the others. She often runs under the other dogs, grabs a front leg then digs her toes in and stops. The result is most amusing.
Thanks Robert for your answer. Small dogs can reach a considerable speed - especially in curves ;-). I really like the way you put the motion into the picture - and tried get a similar effect - I lack the appropriate program (sigh)
Enjoying your dog on the desktop!
Hi Ela...thank you so much for your nice comment on Anticipation...so glad you liked it...I see you are fairly new here...welcome and hope you have a great time here.:Pat.

Thanks for the nice comment on Mama Squirrel. She is a real sweetie. She seemed to want her picture taken that day. I must have taken 7 or 8 that day. I chose this one, because her tail seemed to make a halo around her face..
heh, thank you for your kind words, but my english is still improving... it would be a lot easier to write on my mother tongue, croatian, but i can deal with it :) sometimes, i can't express what i feel about the images because certain words are missing! :( and i can't find the adequate english replacement for it.. but i always try to make my comments the most informative as possible and, therefore, let the author know what i liked or what i didn't like about the image.. it makes two people happier - the author and me :)
i love exploring images on caedes.net.. i had discovered it a year ago, but then my modem broke.. i'm telling you, it happened on friday 13th :D and there was a huge break.. and i forgot about the caedes. but, a few months ago, i wanted to change my wallpaper into something new.. and returned to this wonderful place. i've met some of the nicest people here, i hope you'll enjoy this place as much as i do! i consider you as my new friend, i hope the feeling is mutual :) and i'm looking forward to seeing more of your images.. you are certainly talented :)
You were so kind to stop by and leave a comment on "Building Bridges." I really enjoyed doing that one, and am so pleased you enjoyed it, too. Have a great day, my friend.

Hi Ela, thank you for your kind birthday wishes. Very thoughtful and I appreciate it a lot! Yes, I really liked "Water Lady". A talented person took the photo I do believe! Sincerely, Marilyn
Ela, thanks for your comments on Misty Geese. It was one of those very special mornings when conditions are "just so", and that had a lot to do with the way the shot turned out. Very glad you liked it!
Sorry I have not been around much, but I have been traveling and extremely busy at work and home. This should be reduced a bit by June, when I hope to get back to Caedes more often....Mike
Thank you so much for your comments on "Splish - Splash I Was Takin A Bath" I really appreciate it.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hello Ela,
I found your comments on Hugh a High (lander). Thanks!
Concerning your question about using filters: I never use filters. The way I cath the light is by altering the settings of my camera, which is actually a cheap pocket camera of Sony. In this case I used -0.7 EV exposure, enhanced saturation and contrast. If you shoot a picuture like this on AUTO it will be ruined.
Have a look at my gallery and my latest shot Into The Blue. It is all done with different settings, but none with filters.
I hope this answers your questions. Bye!
Hi Ela
Thanks for your kind words on Lost. I shall have a go with Paint Shop Pro and see what happens if I adjust the contrast and saturation (I'm still something of a beginner when it comes to reworking photos) Thanks for your advice:-)
Hi Ela ! I´m so glad you like my butterflies ! Unfortunately it is not possible to see these species outdoors in my country. I had to go to a Butterfly House in Stockholm to find these "flying flowers" ,as Mowyn said. It is of course easier to find them, but you still need a lot of patience to get the images you want. I´m very thankful for your comments on them. I´ll show you some more... -- Arne --

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.

Hi Ela, I never told you before, but I am now, how much I love those 2 white lily photos of yours. I've downloaded them both & have them on my desktop often. They're beautiful & elegant & photographed so well, I can almost feel the texture of the petals. My computer screen & I thank you. They're gorgeous.

Thanks Ela for your great comments on my posting Male Cardinal...it is appreciated...you ask what lens I used...I use a Nikon D50 camera and have a 55-200 zoom lens that I use to capture birds...had lens set at 200mm. In this image I cropped it after in photo editor...hope that helps you....gerry.
Howdy from Arizona! Thank you for finding and commenting at "Comin' through!" - and thank you for adding it to your favorites! If you like hummingbirds, I have a few more pics in my gallery you might like. Thanks again Ela!
