Hey , thx for the comments left at Kitty , always appreciated .
yes the blur , some of it is motion blur ( ears ) and some a Gaussian blur (on the background) because the bokeh was awful , trust me , this way is better .
Thanks for commenting on "Don't Let Her Get Away...". It is an interesting shot but was totally fortuitous. There were so many pigeons I was bound to get some good images if I took enough shots!
Thanks for taking time to view and comment on my High Falls Sunrise 3 image. The guy on the right was actually another photographer. I think he was trying to get a shot of the Heron on the left bank. I had my camera set on iso 3200 by accident so it had some heavy grain and noise. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

My Sandy Beach 2 image was taken on a very foggy and overcast day. I had to do some heavy photoshoping to get the detail that I wanted in this image. Thanks for your support and comments on this photo.

I really appreciated your very kind words, picnic tables excluded, on Ablaze They Found The Dawn. I hope you have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving! ~ John
I am glad you like "The Gathering". Thank you for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated! And yes, I did this digital in several programs that I use.
Thanks for your comments on "Stormy Weather". I think part of the problem with the horizon is a bit of an optical illusion. I checked if the straight edge in the fore ground was level and it almost was.
Thanks for your comments on my pic "Knettishall Heath"
i `ll be going back there sooner or later ~ hopefully when the colours are more vibrant
Thanks again
Steve

Hey there, thanx go to you today for such a nice comment on my WEaving photo posting. I enjoy doing that to a photo now and then, it's kind of like dividing one photo into several. Thank you againfor your many nice comments. Verena
Do not wait; the time will never be "just right."Start where you are and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.
I have a little bit of a closer up pic that I will try to post later. Its is closer up and would really fill up the screen for a background. Thanks for the comment.

Hey..thanks for commenting on "Shades of Death"...Some of my recent posts are actually from the hike (the waterfall ones) and they are definitely opposite of the name!!
Hey there...thanx for the input on my blossom photo...unfortunately I don't know how to use the layering and other things in Photoshop yet...it takes me a while to figure those things out...so any help you could offer me would for sure be very appreciated. Kia Ora Mapbc, thanks for commenting on Cumbria and top marks for observance - I had not noticed the marks until you pointed it out. CLICK Here for the original if you care to look
I did not actually clone out the foliage - I used the push brush.
Hi, thanks for commenting on Cheeky! I kinda liked the way his fur blended into the dirt. I thought it looked very natural that he was in his habitat, i do agree he would have stood out more if he were accomodating enough to stand next to something green though!

Thanks for your comment on my "If I could stop the time".
It's kinda difficult in Macau to get a nice shot without someone in the background; the city is so small, but so busy. Thanks! :D
This is my quest, to follow that star...No matter how hopeless, no matter how far...To fight for the righ, without question or cause...To be willing to march into Hell for a Heavenly cause
Thanks for the kind comments on 'kirve'. Your 'winery' pic shouts curve, which is what it's all about......
now all that aside i have a pain in my leg, arm, toe and ear ,thats on tuesday, the rest of the week it's my foot.
Thanks for your comment on "Soldier". It seemed to leave most people feeling a bit unsettled. I guess that shows the power of photography. :) Thanks again!
I hear you about the body boarder in my sunset pic. I just liked the fact you had two things launching at the same time. The surfers and boarders are hard to NOT shoot as the best surf tends to be in the evening. Thanks for your look-see!
thanx for your comments on 'rockway gorge'. it's probably a downfall of being familuar with the area...there is a large falls in the far left of my shot (hidden by trees and branches...but you can see a hint of it above them). i should have focused more on the scene in front of me...the stuff in the right of my shot, like your comment suggests...as no one else knows the falls are even there.
Thanks for the comment on "Water Park". It's appreciated! The colors were lacking purposely, i toned them down for a more dreary effect. I suppose I could post the original so people could see the contrast. :)
Many thanx for the kind comment on Audhumbla, greatly appreciated.
The technique is not guarded, I use photoshop and I come up with the ideas as I go along, trial and error :-). The cow is part of a photo I took. Converted it to b&w and made it look more like a painting. The background is all ps, used the cloud filter and light effects. With layers and layer effects like blending options etc it became the result you see in the image.
Thanks for your comments on Summer Vacation #4 - Everglades ... I appreciate you sharing your thoughts ... Next time I'll double think the framing ... :)
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Glad you liked Field of Vision. I have one that doesn't have the distracting weeds. I will post it in the next day or to if I can. You might or might not like it. It sure was beautiful to stand in front of in real life tho. cheers, Quiet

Thanks for commenting on Gathering honey - you're right the lighting is a bit flat but it was very overcast that day. The image is not reworked at all because I was overseas when I posted this and did not have access to any editing programs.
