My Dear Friend...I wish you could help me decide what of my Oregon photos I can submit to a contest that's being done by Costco again. It's a yearly thing and called "Give us your Best Shot"...it is soooooooooo hard for me to know which one to send. The one of the Haystack is one of the ones I have on my choose list..but there are others. I wish you could see them all,its a hasstle to downsize them and send them to you tho....and this is the last week to send one in...I might send maybe three of my favs..I COULD post them and ask everyone to tell me THEIR favs tho..I MIGHT just try that..so watch for it ok? Hi there, many thanks for your visit and nice comments on Upstate NY...there, as here, you had to be on the lookout for the fall colors as many places had not changed too much or are not getting the usual vibrancy due to lack of rain this past summer...here in Toronto some areas don't have alot of color while other areas, closer to water are nicer...glad I saw this one and that you enjoyed it...still looking for 'shrooms, by the way, lol.

Thanks Chatty Cathy for the flowing and glowing comments on my High Falls Sunrise 2 image. It was taken about 40 miles from my home on one of my early morning photo excursions. I had my camera set on iso 3200 by accident so it was a tad bit grainy. I had to soften it up in photoshop. With comment like yours I now have a case of the big head and can't get out of the door to shoot some new photos. Lol! I'm glad you liked it.

as it tenderly kissed the day
goodnight
a time to reflect and ponder
of our day slipping away
preparing us now
for a new dawn to show
the hello we seek
first comes the sunrise
warming us
with a soft wake up call
birdsounds quickly surround us
singing their songs
as we open the day with
breakfast
whether the day is here with
coffee or tea
or with scented bacon and eggs
maybe the day is unlocked
from the nighttime
with keys of the day being
prayer or meditation
maybe a quick glance
at a book we love
or a photo bringing memories
of times long ago
times of sharing and loving
times of family
we wish the day to linger
as long as possible
we hold hands of loved ones
whether far away or near
we still touch
sharing the same moon
and stars
seasons change time and us
seasons always there
yet ever changing
we are always there
to share yet a new sunrise
a new sunset
once again we hear the
whispers
saying goodnight once more

Hi Marilyn, no, I have never been an attorney. But I did study law in college. My name, casechaser, comes from my previous career in sales. I had a lot of numbers to meet each quarter and it normally was in quotas for cases sold. Thus case chaser was melted into one word. I have used this name since the very early '90s as email became more and more in use. I am now part of the educational process in the College of Medicine, at THE Ohio State University. Thanks so much Marilyn for stoppin by and leavin such wonderful, touching words on my "Mary". Your words brought tears to my eyes. We just recieved another difficult blow in the situation of my grandmas health. Sometimes I think It's harder to loose the ones you love day by day rather than suddenly. As hard as it is for me, I know it's harder for my mom. I thought Mary would be fittin for what I was feelin when I decided to post somethin that day. She was a strong woman who overcame the odds, faught for what she believed in, sacrificed her own pride, and survived such turmoil. When I think that things are hard for me and my family right now, I think of her and what she went through. And then I'm grateful to have every moment I have with the ones I love.

He his greatly missed but never forgotten because he was always there to love us unconditionally.... Your lovely comments on my work and in particular(GOLDEN DAFFODILS)are as always so very much appreciated Marilyn....It is so pleasing to know that this picture has brought you so much joy.....Cornwall at this time of year is painted with broad sweeps of yellow as the daffodil fields flourish. Some fields have the hunched figures of the pickers, gathering armfuls of still green flowers in the cold winds of the early months. Thanks for the great comment on my 08 Cherry Blossom 2 image Marilyn. I always enjoy your lavish praise. The bees are buzzing but not cooperating just yet. The big Bumble Bees are still hovering and fighting with each other. I've only seen a few honey bees but they're still high in the branches where it's warmer. The Cherry Blossom Festival starts next weekend and everything should be in full bloom by then.

Hello Marilyn...Many thanks for taking the time to view (SADDLE UP)and for your wonderful comments,as you know they are always very much appreciated...When I photograph animals I always remember that they are sporadic. You can't really get them to sit and stay and look a certain way... so, I keep shooting, make funny noises (this is the fun part!) to get them to look.... With large animals I think it is important to consider the background....Finallly,one should remember that animals often are very shy. If you get too close, they’ll be gone.....I like to sit down or stand still at a safe distance and wait for the animal to come closer....I have found that you need plenty of patience for animal pictures..but usually it’s fascinating to watch the animal(s) anyway.....Thankyou again Marilyn...All the best....Mick.

Hello Marilyn....Many,many thanks for your very kind comments on (CHURCH AT WATERS EDGE)and for the lovely poem titled Morrab Gardens....I believe the gardens are in a place called Penzance which is only 15 miles from where I live,I will have to make an effort to visit these gardens...This little church is set in magnificent gardens overflowing with subtropical shrubs and trees, the church perches on the water's edge. A path leads from the creek onto a coastal footpath thus giving the rambler a delightful walk of approximately 2 miles....When I am out on location I always remember the viewer...Fortunately,Britain is blessed with a huge variety of interesting landscapes to choose from,whether it is a rugged coastline,or the more tranquil views of lowland scenes...In most cases it will be a combination of capturing a scene and then making the viewer want to be in that location....Thankyou again Marilyn....All the best to you...Mick.
