You ask, how you can make such a moon shot. Here a little desciption:
First use a tripod and a telephoto lense (minimum 400mm). Now make a high key picture for test and check the result for good contrast of the clouds. If not good change exposure time for best results. Save camera settings.
Second make a low key picture for test and check the texture of the moon. Correct exposure time until the texture are perfect. Now wait for a good cloud position and be fast be shooting 2 pics (clouds are moving ;-)). Make the low key pic restore the saved camera settings and make the high key pic. Now you have 2 perfect exposured pictures of this scene for moon and clouds.
Now take a photo editing program and cut the moon from the low key pic and put them to the high key pic in a new layer. Now play a little bit with the layer settings for best results.
