Hi Mia, welcome to Caedes. So nice of you to comment on my picture, Hello World. I am so glad you liked it. Hope to hear from you again sometime.

Hello Mia; Thank you for your comments on "After the Rain". The background color is simply Mother Nature, as to the feeling of Christmas; I must admit I hadn't even thought about that aspect. But the colors most certainly do match the theme. I may try putting it in my gallery at Christmas with a message of re-birth and peace on the matting. Thanks for the idea.
İ mean by placing a simple, plain contrast coloured background object.Just like at the default Wallpaper of XP.(very similar to yours:named:Pink Flower)
Thanks for commenting on "Urchins revisited" - I think the colours have come out a little more intense than I remember them, but they do come in a lovely variety of shades :-)
Hi Mia...thanks for stopping by & leaving such warm words on "Eye See You". It is a lot of fun to photograph these beautiful butterflies! Have a great day :)
Thanks Mia for your comment on "two face", much appreciated. The name and the opposite sides are from a Batman movie, but not the scenary. The problem with those movies is that they are too fake and cheesy, and the newer ones have bad actors. Lord of the Rings is a compiment, because that was werll done. I suppose i can ee the resemblence between the rockies and New Zealand. :-)
Hey Mia, wellcome to my Gallery and thanks for your comments on «Macro Flower».
I hope you like my galery as i like your Country when i was there ( Vienna ) in a Nurse Congress near Danubio river and Prater Stadium.

Hello Mia! Thanks for the nice comments on my Mountain Stream 3 photo. This was my first attempt at duplicating the effects that I got with my film camera. This time I was using my Minolta DiMAGE S404 digital camera. I'm glad that you liked it.

Thanks, Mia, for your kind words on "Kodachrome Basin." It's the first time I've ever seen a c-index of a 100, too. And, too, you were right - it's only a 64 today. I'm not quite sure how such things get calculated, so I don't fret over it. Just pleased I can share the image, and that folks like you enjoy them. Have a great day!
Thank you so much for your nice comment on the frosty grass pic "Winter again 11". I agree with you that many winter pics (also many in my winter series!) are too "typical" to be interesting. I guess that may be because we live in snowy Sweden and Austria and are very familiar with winter landscapes. But it isn´t that easy to find those new interesting objects, angles and views. A have however been thinking of shooting winter pics in the city - could be interesting even if it´s not what you think of first of all...
Hi again Mia ! I see what you mean about winter pics and I´m glad you liked most of those in my series. But there are some of mine I´m not satisfied with and perhaps half of the other winter views on this site. A bit too typical for my taste...
Thanks for the nice comments Mia. I'm pleased that you viewed and commented on my Flowers of Love 2 photo. When I mirrored this image a small angel or bird appeared in the top center.

Hello Mia! My Dandelion Sunset photo was an unplanned event. I went to photograph the sunset and decided to see what I'd get with a low telephoto macro shot. I'm glad that you like the results and I appreciate your support. This opens up some good image possibilities. Did you notice the spider webs that looks like little thin guy wires?

Hi Mia. Thanks for your comment on "Trelissick Robin". I think he was keeping an eye on my girlfriend who was trying to approach with her camera too! My camera is a Panasonic FZ10 with a handy 12x zoom :)
Mia .. glad you're liking the Niagara shots. More coming ! ... shots with rainbows, shots of the rapids ... shots that show a bit more of the scale of this awesome natural wonder.
Just visited your Caedes pages. Now I know why you have so many pics from Vienna! All your pictures are hi-quality and have that warm feeling of the viewer "being there."
My faves are the Barbados pics, since a close friend was raised there and enjoys your photos as a reminder...
Hi Mia, thank you for your kind words about my graduation. I'll send an early congratulations back over your way as you've only got five weeks left. Good luck with any finals and such!
Dear Mia,
I'm glad for your positive response on my comments on your Palm House image.
I looked at your gallery again and became very enthusiastic of what I found there. So, I left a vew comments with some tips for adjustements. Just bear in mind, I do that because I really think your work is smashing and it deserves some real critics.
Best regards, Paul
Hello Mia, hope you will forgive me, but this message is pretty well canned and much the same for everyone who responded to my image “Rhapsody". I’m stuck in a very tight schedule at work and have been putting in as many as 35 hrs overtime each week for going on a month now. Even though this is a generic thank you, it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate each comment, it’s just that I have very limited time and not enough of it to respond individually. For all that asked particular questions, I will try to leave an answer at the end of this post. For those who left comments some time ago, please accept my apology for being so late in responding.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT OF MY IMAGES .IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.
Hi, Mia!
Yes, Sunflowers have an intensity that captures well in photogrphy. I like how you did that one that shows 1/4 of a sunflower like a pie.. the petals are offset and the image looks like the flames on the side of the sun. Very nice.
I posted another, finally got a red one and it IS INTENSE. Please be my guest and check out "Sun-Set Sunflower"! ~Ouimon~
Mia.....Hey You... :-)
TY for the critique on the Sun-Set Sunflower.. I know what you mean.. The color that it picked up was so bright that it is hard to focus on. I had the same trouble trying to take pictures of bright blossoms just before sun-set and the flash would go off and the bloom would look like a hallogen beam.. Just try it with a white daisy! Again, TY for visiting my photo! I appreciate input and personal reflections on pictures. :-) ~Ouimon~
Hey it's cool! You know, I get a good shot and also get lucky when the focus is good. I have to filter through lots of pics that just don't cut it. I think that sunflower color picked up so brightly that it just doesn't fit into the background... like it is an alien just floating there in the garden! Lol. Later, then.... ~Ouimon~
Jekyll Island Driftwood2 was not staged. A storm or some other force place sea shell in this location. I just noticed the pattern and took the shot. Thanks Mia for the very nice comments.

Then in their trouble they called to the Lord, and He saved them from their distress. He brought them out of their gloom and darkness and broke their chains in pieces. (Psalm 107:13-14)
Well hello again Mia. Thank you very much for your kind comments on "At the Dying of the Light #2" and thank you for liking it.
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS.
Bernd
