Howdy from Arizona! Thank you very much for the very nice comments at "This Anna's a Male!" - and for adding it to your favorites! Hope you've captured some 'golden moments' lately!
Hello John, thank you for taking some time to browse through my gallery...I really appreciate your favorable feedback and in particular your comments on Entwined...glad to know it caught your eye as it was just a whimisical addition in adding my daughter to the image...I will pass along your nice compliments to her as well...thanks again for dropping by.:Pat.
Thanks for commenting on my post "Summer Shed". Like you I am learning with each press of the shutter. The "Winter Shed" was taken a couple of winters ago so I am glad that you saw an improvement. Although I think that it was pure luck that made this a better picture.
Hi John, and thanks for your kind words on "Got raisins?". Birds are a favourite subject of mine, too, and it was a real treat to get so close to this one :-)
Thank you John, glad you liked "wait for me" hopefully I will have some finch pics soon, I just saw yours in the featured pictures on the home page, congats!
Dear John,
Thank you so much for stopping to view 'absent lovers'.
I will keep my eye on you LOL
Best regards from myself and big Boo-boo [the dog who is most friendly to all creatures except pidgeons LOL]
Absolutely! It puts a smile on my face to know that you enjoyed it and got a laugh out of the picture. If you could have watched that buffalo run and stop over and over while that blasted monkey kept swating his tail to watch it sway, it really was a funny thing!
Kia Ora John, I really appreciate you kind comment on Sparkling Water. Thank you so much.:)
I have just had a look at your gallery - you are very talented my friend. Lovely pictures indeed.
Hi John, many thanks for leaving a comment about my snowy owl photograph. When I first spotted him he was stood with his mate at his side. I was a bit disappointed she moved away so quickly as it would have been quite a shot to have them side by side. He is a magnificent bird and I was pleased (ecstatic! ;) ) that he sat still while I took his photograph (apart from his head doing a three point turn every few seconds) LOL! Patti
Thanks for the comment! It might be a tad off level wise, but just barely. It looks slightly off just because of the perspective I think. And, unfortunately, I still learning the ropes with modifying images since I'm pretty new at this, so if I ever fix it someday it'll be a while yet. But thanks! :)
Hi John, thank you for commenting on "Amish Country". No I didn't use a filter. I had changed the white balance setting on my camera a few days before and forgot to change it back. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the pictures until I remembered that I had changed that setting so all the pictures I took have that tint to them. Thanks again! :-)
Hey again John..
My little green creature is invading your space here. :) Thanx so much for the sweet comment you've just left on "Looking up". I was hoping to catch the "peeling bark" and it came out not too bad. I just love those trees. The story with it, I found on internet. Here in South Africa it's told that ages ago, the Settlers coming up from Cape to Transvaal (where there are a lot of those trees) got very sick with terrible fevers and lots of the died. As they were camping beneath these trees, they assumed it was the trees causing the fevers, but in the meantime it was the Malaria mosquito that lived near the water, where the trees were growing that caused the high and leathal fevers. ( this is now the South African version of where they got their name from)
Thanx for you support and comments on my work.
Marietha
Thank you John for the great comments you left on my "Jetlag Jaguar". I appreciate your kind words. Animals can strike some of the funniest poses and I just happened to catch one here! Have a great day! -- Lindy :)
Hello John...Thankyou ever so much for taking the time to have a look at (BALES) and for your lovely comments....they are very much appreciated.....I will study weather reports before I go out with the camera hoping I can capture good skies and I also take my photos very early in the morning or late in the afternoon....All the best....Mick.
Hi John, glad you liked "giant dragonfly" thank you for taking the time to comment. I looked at the other one, it was quite amazing. At least I know the giant is dead now and I can go back outside and take more pics.
Hi John, thanks for the comments on Summer Cottage! It was what I thought of too..a fairy tale type cottage! lol I guess I overdid it a bit as far as the foreground. It was quite dark to begin with with all the shade from those trees! Thanks again.
The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people.

Kia Ora John, thankyou so much for your very kind words on Punakaiki Coast. It is a beautiful part of this country, and I wish I had more pictures of it. May be time for another trip there :)
Hey John, thanks for your comments on my posting "Sheesh 3" you wrote "OK, the animal is no beauty by our standards but the photo is. Crystal clear capture. Well done..... "
Thanks John, glad ya liked myjestic. Yeah, my whole point was to make it "dark". I personally think its a bit harder to make a decient dark picture, just like it's hard to take a dark photograph. Thanks for lookin and commenting!
Thank-you John for your very nice words on my Barn VIII. I just visited your gallery and what a very nice collection of nature and her creatures! I especially love that naughty Blue Jay!
Yo, John! Thanks for your comments on the "final version" of "Point of View!" And thanks for having the guts to raise so-called "controversial" issues related to the voting booth and the rating of images. In the long run such comments help sites like this to grow. Good day to you! <G> Wen
Hallo John.
Thank you so very much for your kind comment on Dry Riverbed. I appreciate it a lot. It is much that's flaking like that. A few weeks ago there was still a lot of water in that river. But as we are in winter now, it's almost dry, just patches of water left. Thanx for stopping by and for showing interest in my work, Means a lot to me.

Thanks John for your wonderful comment on Mermaids.. i'm glad you liked it... i love manipulating images, they are always a challenge.. this one took me a week to do... like i have said before, you dont need to know how fractals are worked.. its what appeals to you... =)
Thanks John! I don't know what "Captured" is either. :-) :-) Sometimes I just go into Bryce and "Play" with shapes, and if something looks cool...I just render it and let the viewer put a title to it. People look at things from "many" different perspectives.
Hey John -- Thank you sir for the gracious comments on my sea lions. I'm sure glad they stayed put for a photo. Glad you stopped by. Take care.... Bill
Hi again from Arizona John! Thank you for stopping to view and for leaving the very nice comments at "Gear down! Full flaps!". It definitely takes some time and then a lot of luck - glad you like them!
hi John
Thanx for stopping by at A gift from nature. Appreciated. I know, i took that pic at a suprise party i've organised at work for a friend that turned 50. I thought of cut it out and paste it on a simple background, but then decided just to post it like that. Natural, just as is.. no fiddling.. :) just a gift from nature, untouched.
John .. Quay and Trudy say Hi!! .. and thanks for visiting McDuffs Tavern, 10 kilometers from the Salisbury plain and Stonehenge .. they wanted me to remind you that wednesday night is Fiesty Tavern Wench Nite
Hi John, I appreciate your comments on "dazed and confused" The birds all figured out how to get to the food. Congrats on your newbie mention, you deserve it.
Hello John,
I'm really glad you enjoyed the quiet place on Samana, happy to share it with you. I have hundreds of pictures from this place, couldn't stop myself, so I might post some more. Thank you very much for the great comment.
Hello John. Thank you for your comments about “It’s a Beauty too”. For a while a thought I wouldn’t get any mushroom shots this year because it’s been so dry here. However we had a few showers and the mushrooms came back, just like magic.
Hi John, many thanks for your compliments on my Enchanted Forest photograph. It is such a beautiful place, that it would be difficult to get a bad photograph. The sun filtering through the branches of the very tall trees makes it really pretty and it is a wonderful place to walk. Patti
Hey John
Thanx for the comment on Nr 6. I decided to stop for a while, until I get more "good" stuff when I've figured out how the new camera is working. :))) Maybe I'll start a second series later one. I will try and find out what they are and tell you OK.. Thanx for popping in. :)
Marietha
Thanks John for looking at
Suspicious Eye.............He took off to begin with and decided hey I think i'll go back for a look. He circled and hung in midair for a moment. Then lighted on a pole. Stood there for the longest time letting me snap away. Then grew bored and hopped down in the water area and stared fishing. Didn't care if I was there snaping away. Caught him two or three small fish and stared at me while walking into the brush. About this time I got tired and walked away. Appreciate the look.
Ah come on John you hold the bird picture award hands down. This is my first shoot of birds of any kind. What I really would like to do is capture one in a really good setting in midair. My camera want hold a candle to yours I'm sure. Thanks for the uplift on "Gone Fishing". And thanks for looking at the other shot as well.
John, you've made my day! Thank you for visiting the Mess Hall. I'm so glad it made you feel like you were there. What was on the menu, canned beans and beef jerky? :)) Thanks again for your most generous and kind compliments! - Patty
