On a walk down to the lake yesterday I spotted this neat looking Dragonfly. I was actually trying to get a shot of a butterfly when I found this guy sitting on a leaf watching me. >> Thanks to all for comments <<

Hi Ed. I'm gald you really liked "Ballentrae Lake". I wish that WAS a White Castle...could use one myself. It's action a pumping station used to pump water from a well to keep the lake full. Which in turn the water their grass with.( Sorry for long cocktail information..LOL) Take care.

Many thanks for commenting on my fruit picture Ed. The grapes do look a bit odd in the photo but in reality it was just a pretty natural bloom they had - believe it is a protective thing they have. I always pick 'bloomed' ones in the supermarket :)

After seeing the the pivot arm, I could visualize the motion. Unfortunately, there were no times allocated for its operation. I'm glad that they have decided to demonstrate it on a regular basis. That's one amazing footbridge.

Many thanks for your comment on the "Tyne Bridge", Ed. I found it interesting that the locals named it so. There are three bridges in the photo and I was standing on the Millenium Bridge...all on the Tyne, of course. The little red one in the foreground replacing the old Roman bridge is the oldest. Kind of neat. It pivots in the center to let ships pass.
