Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.

I'm glad you liked. "The Way", my photo of the Paris subway under Norte Dame Cathedral. I've come to believe that it's probably best to aviod the tourist shots when posting on Caedes, but some of them are so easy to shoot that they just jump out at you. I waited to post "The Way", just because it *was* a tourist shot, but everyone seems to like it, so I guess it wasn't a bad idea. Thanks for your support. It means a lot coming from the author of shots like "Camp's Bay" and "Archway".
Thanks for looking at "The sun will not be contained". It was one of my first pictures on the site, and is still one of my favorites. I also had your picture "Sunrise over Sea point" as my background here at work for awhile. You have a nice gallery here.
no no, on the contrary, your signature was awesome, from better to worse, I thought it was cool. I am in the process of changing mine, please feel free to change it back lol
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
great pictures you got here - i will check more of them out when i get time.
wow so you live in Cape Town. i heard its one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Table mountain overlooks it doesnt it?
anyway got some nice images , hope to see plenty more too.
Thanks for your nice comments about "On A Clear Day" and also I am honored to be in your favorites with "Columbia River Vista". I was just looking over your images and was wondering if they are all shot in S. Africa? There are some pretty impressive images there. Looks like a nice place to visit for some photography.
Thanks Kalen for the nice comment on my "Peppers" picture. I just bought those peppers and they were to pretty to eat so I tried a still life photo setup with my digital camera. The results were a nice surprise.

Hello Kalen. Thanks for the great encouragement on (Newnan's Nightfall). I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. I'm glad you enjoyed it~
Thankyou very much for the comment on Wheat Crop. I actually added the borders, it wasn't because of the photo being the wrong size! Thanks again for looking:D
Hi Kalen, and thanks for your comment on "Bullseye". It is a bit different, as you say, but I'm fascinated by refractions and reflections of light and how these can be captured to make an image. It just shows you need a camera with you all the time, even in the pub :-)
Thanks Kalen for the nice comments on my "Nags Head Beach" photo. This is one of the first attempts at producing an artistic photo using a digital camera. The depth of field is not as deep as I wanted but I'm pleased with the results.

Hello Kalen. I'm really glad you liked "Foggy Mt. Rainier Sunrise from Reflection Lake". When I started photographing, that morning, you could just see the Mountain. A little breeze came up and 15 minutes later the fog was gone. Just the right place at the right time. Thanks again.
Thank you Kalen, for your comments on "As High as an Elephant's Eye" I drive by that corn everyday on my way to work and it really is as big as it appears. It is a beautiful site. Fall is coming and it will be gone soon, so I figured I should capture it while I can. Thanks Again. :)

Hi Kalen. I wonder if you have a copy of Paint Shop or Photoshop? Both programs have an ability to erase things like the crane in "Building / Crane". Love the photo, though. Keep it up :-)

Hi Kalen,
Thanks for the positive feedback on "Red Reflection" It's at the same island as "Island Shore" was taken.
That place is a photographers dream,
John
You're images, taken as a whole, are stunning. I appreciate the sense of space that you bring to your images. I would like to have a couople of them as a mural in one of my rooms.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.

Hello Kalen. I'm sorry for not responding to your comments sooner. I've been very busy traveling and working for the last three weeks. I have been to Poland, France, Germany, Belgium, Japan and Taiwan. My days haven't had much spare time in them. Thanks for the lovely comments on "Sprouting Onions".

Good to hear from you Kalen. No, I wasn't a pilot. I was in the US Air Force and worked with the Navy a bit, so they invited me to visit them on a Carrier off the coast of North Vietnam. While I was there, I talked my way onto a mission in an A6. We were acting as a tanker. It was a bit of a thrill to get catapulted off a carrier, fly a mission refueling other planes, practice refueling ourselves, than land back on the carrier. I was young and adventuresome then...the photo was taken in 1972...Mike
Thank you for you comment about my Lighthouse in Port Townsend..when I displayed it on my website I had a black frame around it, and yes, you are so right about the appearance, Iliked it that way too...
Thank you for your positive feedback on "around the pond". I am glad you found it worth your time and a few words. I really appreciate your comment. If you like such fall captures, (I guess there aren't many of these in Cape Town) please browse through my gallery. Stay tuned.
Hi, I simply love your lekker gallery! I miss my country, so thank you for the stunning pictures of SA. (I'm studying in Germany since 2 years, but I'm going back home as soon as possible...).
Dankie! T
