Many thanks for stopping in at "The Hudson River" and "Adirondack Cabin." Your thoughtful comments are always appreciated. The Adirondaks, where both of these shots were taken, is the largest national park in the US. It's 6 million acres of forest, mountains and lakes. A very rustic style, folk art style of furniture is attributed to the area.
Dear Nigel you made me a great surprise in being back for provide you comments, supports and feedback.
I'm really happy and I'm sure you have a treasury of surprises for all of us in Caedes.
Thanks indeed.
Ed.
Thanks for checking out Autumn Cut AND Field of Wheat. You see things in my pictures that I don't even notice myself :). A true technician, your comments are always eagerly received.
Hello Nigel....Many thanks for taking the time to view (HAUNTED CASTLE)and for your comments, they are as you know very much appreciated....The castle is the real thing built in 1628...The stories about the castle being haunted comes from the locals, all good stuff....Thankyou again Nigel...All the best.....Mick.
Hello Again Nigel.....Thankyou for viewing (A SCOTTISH VIEW)and of course your comments are greatly appreciated....I will spend a lot of time on location so that I can catch the right light for a particular scene....Thanks again Nigel....All the best to you....Mick.
For your finances you can contact my secretary on 0044 ... :).
Now Why I left out the cape: You, my friends, now know I'm the master, but in the 'real' world I would like to keep it calm. No such things like hysterical fans in front of my house etc... Or not just for now :).
Thanks for visiting my gallery Nigel, it's always a joy to see you've stopped by and I genuinely appreciate all your great feedback. Hope all is well, Kelcey.
Hello Nigel.....Thankyou for your comments on (TOMBSTONES)they are very much appreciated....Churches are fine buildings and I admire the designers and the people who built them,of course these places are also steeped in history.....Thankyou again.....All the best to you Nigel...............Mick.
Hi Nigel..thanks so ,much for stopping by the image ~it's official~. I am truly humbled by my son's achievement. He worked like a trooper and studied like a warrior for the lieutenants test. He had made a decision that if he didn't pass he wasn't going to put him & his family the the rigorous process again!
It is dream come true for him. His first 'worker', as it is called, as officer in charge was a deck collapse with 14 seriously injured women attending a bridal shower. He was officially recognized after the fact as a 'true leader & hero'. Makes a Mom's heart beat a bit faster, louder and swell with pride. We were invited to witness the laudatory praises be bestowed upon him :=)
good things happen. :) Hope all is well with you my friend!

Hi Nigel, should I be honest? I was out of breath when I was shooting, but of fear. I hate bad weather, I hate hights, and I was dizzy. High mountains, that's not me. But I am happy that te photos are good and you like them. And, thanks a lot for your very good comment.
Thank you, Nigel, very much, really great comment. I agree with you about the foreground, but I am sorry, I couldn't put anything in the foreground, I was in the water.

Hello Nigel.....Thankyou for your comments on (RIVER BEND)they are as you know very much appreciated...It is nice to know that the title of this picture has triggered childhood memories for you....The picture was taken with a Nikon D80 aand 18-200mm lens......Thankyou again......All the best to you Nigel.......Mick.
Belated but very sincere thanks for your lovely comment on "After the Deluge", I'm so thrilled you liked it as I'm quite fond of it myself:) Best wishes, Kelcey.
Thanks for your encouraging comment on my sunset pic Nigel, I'm really pleased you liked it. As for the dust storm, I have to confess that while I myself did leave the house (our town lost power so I went to check on my grandparents only to discover they're apparently on the emergency grid as they're in the same block as the police and fire departments so they were fine), I wasn't ready to risk my camera. There were some awesome images to be had for those brave souls with the right gear though, unfortunately I just wasn't one of them:( Take care, Kelcey.
Hey Nigel, thanks for the many comments! First for Surfer, I'm so happy to hear that you really liked it. Mostly goofed off in photoshop to give it that little extra feel. Secondly, for Elgin, it's part of the ruins from the Elgin Cathedral. I loved the town of Elgin and hope to retire to there some day.

Nigel, I wish more people would be honest like this. Thks for the input.

Thanks a lot, Nigel for the good and honest comment. I am glad you like my photo. And, you are right, it is a bit more to the right, maybe because I am left handed. Imagine that, and I am not English. LOL
Hey Nigel, thanks for the comment on "Eilean Donan 2"! If you get the change, you have to visit this place. It's just beautiful there. Of course, we went in the fall and the castle wasn't open. But it was worth the drive just go and be able to walk around the outside of the castle.
Thank you, Nigel, great comment. Glad you like my photo, but I don't know what are the other conditions. The mountains behind are almost always hazy, in summer because it's hot (to 40 C), and in winter beacuse it's cold (under 0 C). In UK you don't have that kind of a climate, I know, I've been there, and it's unusual for you.
Hello Nigel.....First of all, many congratulations being the Artist in the Spotlight....With the hard work you put into UK get together and for the very fine work you post for us to view you deserve this honour,WELL DONE Nigel....Thankyou for your comments on (THE OLD STONE BRIDGE)they are as you know very much appreciated.....The bridge is part of an old military road between Perth and Braemar....Thankyou again.....All the best to you Nigel.......................Mick.
Hi Nigel I went through your gallery and I admired your works which is really professional other than particularly precise and gorgeous.
Many of your picture, since I joined Caedes, have renewed my desktop and as I've flat 20" monitor of my IMAC the result is absolutely outstanding.
Thanks then for having leveraged your expertise and your ability and for having always some good suggestion for me.

Hi, Nigel, thanks for the lovely comment. I have to admit, the road is behind me. The scary part is in front of me. And about Gloria Gaynor, it was easier for her to survive with all those milion dolars she got for that song. LOL
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Thanks again, Nigel, I love this photo, too, because I love this place very much. It' a small fishermen's village along the lake, it's gorgeous with fantastic surrounding. And that white post in the water is some kind of a plastic "bottle" for tieing or anchoring small boats. People use them very often here.
Thank you, Nigel, glad you like my photo. It makes you want to go on a holiday, but it makes me want not to come back from a holiday. LOL Have a nice week.
Morning Nigel, thanks for the nice comment on "Countryside 2". I took this photo close to winter, so alot of the plant life was starting to die off. I actually entered the photo of ESP into the contest.
Thanks very much for checking out Swanning around. Slimbridge is well worth at least one visit. These animals are spoilt rotten. Most of the birds will feed from your hand. It is a great place to practise some 'portrait' shots. My failure on many of the shots (not yours I'm sure!) was to not pay attention to the shutter speed. Do whatever it takes (high iso, large aperture) to keep the images of the birds crystal clear and freeze their constant pecking and head movements.
Thanks for your comments regarding Mountain Relief. I am always striving to get the images as 'realistic' as possible. It's all about composition, balance, perspective. With a blank canvus to start with, it is both tricky and fun to be in total control of the physics of the world. It's never perfect, which makes me keep going back for more. Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you, Nigel, for commenting on my recent Vermont shots. I had the opportunity of going on a shoot with PJ (Phasmid) and Cindy (Cynlee) and these were just a few from that outing.
Hello Nigel.....Thankyou for your comments on (HALLOWEEN 2009)they are as you know very much appreciated....Yes,it was good fun putting it together,I just entered into the spirit of the forthcoming occasion...The graveyard is only a 5 minute walk from where I live and I have to say it dose'nt worry me photographing graveyards, day or night....Thankyou again.....All the best to you Nigel................................Mick.
Thank you, Nigel, for the very beautiful comment. I can find what and how to shoot, only give me summer. I don't have to shoot in winter and autumn, anyway I don't go out very much when it's cold. :))))
Thanks for the comment on "Battlefield 2"! Had some different issues to deal with when taking this photo. Namely a sick kid who instant on either jumping in puddle or climbing on the cannon while I was getting the shot. But I guess that's what happens when you take your kiddo with you huh? ha ha.
You caught me. LOL I don't like blue color, I don't have anything blue, except blue jeans, and I accept blue only if t's any kind of water or sky. And I know, winter is coming and I hate it. But, that's life! Thanks for the nice comment, I like it.
Thanks for the comment on "Overview". Honestly, my talents on working with Photoshop CS4 is not the best. This photo was done years ago and not in RAW form, so I'm not sure how to change the white tone through editing.
Thanks for the honest and good comment, I appreciate it. And, unfortunately I just rest a bit and work, the word hibernating doesn't exist in my vocabulary. Have a nice weekend.
Hello Nigel....Thankyou for your very kind comments on (HEAVY HORSE)they are very much appreciated....I love to visit ploughing competitions and watch these beautiful animals at work,it is a wonderful sight.....Thankyou again...All the best to you Nigel.....................................Mick.
Nigel...Thank you so much for stopping in and visiting Mr. Moose. I appreciate your having left a comment for me there. As for "deer are as dramatic as it gets here...." I think your King and Queen are quite lovely and have a drama all their own. That is one of the reasons we are all here....to share what we have from our own little corners of the world for all to enjoy. I feel as though this website makes the world feel like a smaller and more friendly for that very reason.
Take care my friend.

And now it's yellow, red and brown, but I am happy that there are many evergreen trees there, and there are still green places. The mountain Pelister is well known for the rare kind of pine tree - Molika.
Hello Nigel,
Thank you very much for your congratulations on the occasion that I've become 'Featured Artist' in November 2009.
Your nice words are higly appreciated by me.
Regards, Cornelius.
Thanks Nigel for commenting on another of my Gull pictures “Cold Fish Again” Crawling down the rocks with a camera and big lens was the biggest challenge of this shoot.
