Hi Nigel!
Thanks a lot for your very nice comment on 'Boathouse'!
I used some HDR software for these shots which I was recommended by another Caedes friend :o)
Hi again! I enjoyed your comment on Dark Against Blue Sky. I tried to make the lines of the castle a little sharper, but I'm still very glad you liked it!

Hello Nigel, your comments about “Bridging the Williams” are most appreciated. Thank you. I like to try new techniques that I dream up from time to time. Some work quite well but I get a lot of failures too :-)
Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on, "This Is My Good Side". I did not have to bribe him to get this one. But my girls gave him some bread for his trouble afterwards.
Thanks for your comments on my latest posting. Man, take easy using those high dollar words like, truncation. I had to consult old Webster on that one. LOL
Thanks for your comments on Once Upon A View. There's another post of this pix titled Once Upon Another View. I'm not sure that's the next chapter but it's not the last.
Hello Guess! lol Thank you so much for the lovely comment on Hello Kitty. I make a point of seeing that Ashlee hears all the comments on the shot. Don't worry, I'll give her the credit when she does a wonderful job like this. lol
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Thanks for your comment on my contrast tree shot. I don't give much weight to the c-index anymore. As you said pictures with different themes in them don't often rate that well. I also find that it has a lot to do with subject as well. Certain things get rated higher just because of what they are a picture of. But we are trying to use it for something that it isn't meant for. The idea behind it is to help people find the nicest desktop images on this site. For that i think it does a decent job, but for rating photography its not perfect.
Hi Nigel, glad you liked my photo 'from Macclesfield forest....' - the photograph was taken last September - and is buried way back in my gallery - thanks for putting it on your desktop and for your kind comments! :) Patti

Thank you so very much for the kind words on, A Thoughful Moment. I to enjoy places like this. Me and the family spent about six hours there playing in the water.

Sometimes my aching body tells me that I may have actually taken the shot of "Telephone Poles" in the 50's." ;) Nigel, thanks again for visiting one of my shots and commenting - John

Thank very kindly for all the kind words on, A Place To Reflect series. Your thoughts are very much appreciated. I assure there are No Alligators here. It is perfectly safe. The most dangerious thing in there are hungry KOI.
This big guys name is Tiny. LOL My buddy has a warpped since of humor. Tiny hangs out around his house. Tiny really is docile as a kitty kat as long as you have HUSH PUPPIES for him. If you do not then he gets alittle cranky. Thanks for the comments.
Nigel, thanks for stopping by in my "Tall Grass" and leaving a comment. I do appreciate it. Hey by the way, after you play around a little with PSP or Photoshop, please post it. I would love to see what you created. - John

I could not agree more with you and I am embarrassed by the orange tine on "Company for Dinner." It looked considerably less on my screen than it does here. Thanks again for taking the time to review one of my shots. - John

Hi Nigel, you still have Macclesfield forest on your desktop? glad you like it that much and thanks for your comments on 'the presence of trees....' - it made me smile to know that people are recognising my photographs! :)

Howdy from Arizona Nigel! Thank you very much for the '10' plus the nice words at "In-flight Meal" - that one was from a 6' tripod looking down from 36" away. Just decided to try it and see how the hummingbirds would react to it - lucky for me, they didn't seem to mind very much. Thanks again!
Thanks Nigel for commenting on another one of my frog pictures “Smile”. I use a 100-400mm lens @ 400mm to keep a working distance of about 3 meters.
Thanks again
Bob
Thanks for visiting and commenting on "a very wet walk", Nigel - truly appreciated. I didn't have to swim out but I sure looked like I did. I was wet up to my waist. But, it was worth it -
Thanks Nigel for your kind comment on "Late Summer: End of the road". I do like Sunflowers and will post a new shot with a spider on it soon. Here it's 27° C and as - thanks god - it's friday : i'll grab my sunglasses and go for a jogging at 6 P.M.

Thanks for commenting on, Blue Beauties Reworked and Monolith of Texas. It is greatly appreciated. It was just one of those right place and time photo ops.
Hi Nigel. I see you changed your name from Guess. lol Thanks for taking a look at the Pt. Judity Lighthouse. I like lighthouses too and don't get to see enough of them to suit me.

Nigel, once again you are very kind in your comments about one of my pictures. "Riders in the Night" was a lot of fun to create and I am very happy that you liked it. - John
Thanks for the comment on "sun fun", Nigel. I have to agree with your comment on the subject itself - they really are gorgeous little critters. Thanks again -
Hi Nigel, I have a feeling you might be covering more miles than I am walking around London. I was in London for the weekend at the beginning of July and walked for miles along the Thames and round the city centre - I would say I was pretty exhausted in my efforts to capture so many photographs in one day - that is all the time I had as I was there to celebrate a friends anniversary and we were partying :) ....thanks for your comments - glad you like the picture from the top of the Roaches - coming down was more difficult I have to say! lol! Hey, Nigel, I didn't get lucky with those clouds in "Columbus River View." I had camped out for months waiting for them to arrive! ;) I may have stretched that a litte - thanks Nigel - John
Hi Nigel, thanks for your comment on west acre! :-) i wish i lived in london, wanna swap??? lol!! (well, just for a week so i could shoot london and you could get bored of the flatness in norfolk)! :-)
Thanks for your comments on Leaving Port Clyde. I'm not actually sure why the light is off-center. The only thing I did to that picture was to revive the colors a bit.
Thanks for your comments on "a chamois in Gigors": this shot was a "coup de chance" (lucky one). I was walking under the woods, and I turned my head on the left, grabbed my camera and took 3 shots. One of them was the good one.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Thank your friend for taking the time to comment on Neptues Sea Horse and Eye Lash Viper. It is greatly appreciated. I defiantly can see why you could not eat that meal.

Hey Nigel! Thanks for your words on "The Couple". No, they weren´t posing for me but this was a special occation and they might have been posing for someone else.
Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on, Posion Dart Frog. It is greatly apprecated. It is what separates the men form boys my friend. LOL!!! We do have alligators and posion snakes. But this little fella is native to Central America. It is TOO DAM HOT here for him and me for that matter.
Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on, Peppermint Dreams and Sterling Silver. It is greatly apprecated. God does all the work. Lucky for me, He lets me help.
Thanks for your comment on "Mother and Child". My wife and I love the Orangs . A friend of ours always says that the babies look like surprised coconuts.
Now Nigel, do you think I would move the trash can over a little bit to be in a shot? I am nearly surprised at you!! ;) Thanks, as always for commenting on one of my pictures. "Summer's Over" - John
Thank you friend for commenting on The Real Friday Night Lights and The Pantherettes. I can not say, I have heard of subbuteo. I looked it up on the internet. We have something similar only with the America version of football. Like yours it was fun to play.
You are absolutely right - the male in "Who's The Daddy" is a big bugger. They are so quiet and calm but have that look that says 'Cross me and I can tear you limb from limb!'
Thanks for commenting on "You should have seen me........." I too like the background. In fact I was as interested in including that as I was flower. Thanks for noticing.
Thanks for the comments on Exteme Intrigue. As always it greatly appreciated. Buddy, I have been busy planting new ones for next summer. So, you can count on it.
Thanks friend for commenting on Bobcat. I agree this not a fella you would want to curl up with. I was just out ejoying one of those HOTTER THAN HELL Texas days. When I happened on this little fella.
Nigel, thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment on "Trip to an American Castle." It was like cooking for me. Sometimes you get a great spaghetti sauce and sometimes it's just chili ;) your buddy - John
Nigel, you and Cindy, you are most insightful. "The Stream" is my attempt at computer impressionlism. I have long admired the painters in this genre. As for maybe a glint of Klimt, I am afraid that Gustav was not with me in my mind when I worked with the colors. I do, however, like his work and that of his group. - John
NIgel, thanks again for commenting on one of my pictures and I am, once again, thankful that you also like it. I wish you could have seen those naked trees in "Alum Creek The Path," live, however, what a sight they are. I wish I had captured them better.....hum, maybe if I had tried a little Klimt effect...;) your friend, John
Nigel thanks for commenting. Yes I too like trains. I hadn't thought about earlier or later creating a more interesting look, but I think you're right. I was on a schedule (compared to trains not being) and I couldn't have waited anyway. Appreciate your kind words.
