Thanks, Susan, for your remarks on 'Early Spring Flower'. I actually used the palette knife filter, but greatly dimished it to retain the smaller details (sharper) and the contrast.
[20 MAR 04] Also -- thanks for the help with 'Calla Lily'. I thought it might be but I wasn't sure.
Thanks for your great comment on "If you look closely..." and for your continued support. I'm way behind with my viewing after a short holiday, but a quick glance at your gallery shows me plenty to look forward to... :-)
Thank you very much for the kind words on(spring flower). And belgium is a flower land ,with many flowers domains. And my best friend have a big flower and decoration center.Thanks,Susan.
Susan, thanks for the comment on "Worth the Wait. My wife has planted a few hundred Iris in the yard. Quite beautiful when the all come into bloom. andrew
Susan, thank you for the sweet, warm words re:"Pretty in Pink". I had a lot of fun taking the photo & looking at the flowers, too. Encouragement like yours keeps me snapping the camera in search of a Caedes.net worthy pic! Happy Easter!
Thank you Susan for your comments regarding "Hang About". Your right about the Flying foxes diet, they actually eat fruit nuts and seeds. Your comments are appreciated.
....And for the note on "Frozen Concoction". Thank you so much for taking the time to stop and comment! You have some beautiful shots of palm trees. Keep it up!
Susan, Thanks for commenting on "Oh, Do That Again!!!!!" I like these Morning Doves. Such a gentle look and a lovely coo. This pair has been around for a while. So I've had lots of opportunities for them to get used to me. andrew
HI Susan: Thanks for your comment on "woodland deity" I agree with you, two deities(male and female) and not as distrubing as "woodland throne". Cheers Al.
Susan, thanks for the response to "Her Majesty".. Greatly appreciated. I also like Irises. Knowing that I can please a lot of women at the same time, I'm thinking of posting only Iris photo's from now on. LOL
Thanks for the comment on "true Loves First Kiss". This pairs habit seems to be the male taking the lead in grooming. Haven't seen them feed each other but they sure do know it's spring time. They're at it every morning.
a ninja tabby? what a concept! anyway, thanks for your comments on big green. i hadnt even noticed the rocks. it wa sso uncomfortable laying on the ground that i didnt take much time with this one. good to hear from another phoenix person!
thanks for taking a look at my 'face to face' shot. it's a great hike, only half an hour out on the 60 if you have a free afternoon. you should definitely check it out. cheers
Thanks for the comments on (Fear The Swamp) Susan as well as the declarations of bravery, but I had my running sandals on for sure. I'm a sailor on the lakes around here and after that little visit I don't think you'd ever catch me in that one :). Thanks again!
hi susan , thanks for enjoying my « 2 in 1» image , i very much appreciate your visite and your opinion. i am happy to have shared it with everybody.
hope to here from you again....:-)
Thanks for your comments on "Rite of spring", Susan, although I'm now struggling to get rid of a bizarre mental image of Caedes inspired by your first comment..... ;-)
Thank you for your very kind comment and vote on "Damselfly", Susan. I've not seen any damselflies mating yet this year, but I carry a camera just about everywhere with me so when I do......
Thanks for the comment on (Biven's Arm). You can bet I was looking out for alligators, although it was a different lake than (Fear The Swamp), I'm sure this lake had plenty of its own :)
Thanks Susan for your post on Endorphinmachine X5 - in some respects you are right about the spinal column and indeed i did try a version with it more integrated and some additional protruding bones inc. shoulder blades and ribs but i never fully resolved it to my satisfaction and it was all heading down a very dark road that may have left the image a bit too extreme for general consumption on the site so I just left it as you see it.
Thanks Susan for your nice words on "Achoo" and "Rest Stop". I had a great reaction the the pollen from the Pines. I bet your allergy to roses does not stop you from taking the opportunity to smell them;-)
Thank you for the incredibly flattering comment on (Magic Mirror). The only extent to which I've ever had any of my photos printed is on 8x10 photo paper on my little deskjet. They come out pretty nice, but I think it's safe to say that tons of the work submitted on Caedes could be sold very easily. I just like to share it, but I'll keep the idea in mind in case I ever need to make a career move :). The line of light you mentioned is even more pronounced in the other photo I submitted from that lake (Biven's Arm) that was taken the same night and has a similar look and feel to it. It seems to be created by wind coming down over the trees and creating a large rippled patch on an otherwise calm lake. That part reflects the sky while the water just below it (closer to the camera) is reflecting the trees. I really like the effect as well. Thanks again for the wonderful comment!
Thanks for the nice comment on "Sunrise after the rain" Susan. I appreciate your taking time to encourage me. Cheers. Al.(ps. I like your signature quote).
Hi Susan. Thank you for commenting on (Nightfall). I am not surprised by your impression of the palm tree. I have other shots of the same scene that are framed higher, but this is my favorite because of the pool in the bottom and its reflections. I couldn't get an angle to have it both ways so this one won out with me :). If you particularly wanted a copy of this with less pool at the bottom and more room at the top, let me know what resolution you would like and I will send it to you. Thanks again for the input~
