Hey, you are a newbie. Thank you so much for your comments on my Dragonfly photos, and most of all for telling me the names of them. They are all over my backyard in the Summer, buzzing around with the Butterflys. I feel blessed to just walk outside on my own property and get these good photos. Anyway, Welcome to Caedes Steve, you will have a good time here and make alot of friends. Hope to here again from you soon.
Welocme to Caedes Steve, I am glad purple emperor encouraged you to drop by. I didn't know this spectacular purple butterfly is one of the largest and most elusive woodland species, hiding themselves high in the tree canopy; until I have found some info in the internet. I guess I was lucky to catch it drinking water from a puddle. Stay tuned
Nice to see you among ones who responded to my favourite insect uploads. We learn new things all the time, lol. No wonder so many friends were curious to see "mating dragonflies". The "position" in my photo is called the "mating wheel". I suppose shameless dragonflies will never advance to the permanent gallery... What a waste for future generations, lol.
Nice to see you among ones who responded to my obscene insect uploads. Your warm feedback on "mating season" brought me much pleasure. I try to get as close to these bugs as possible, sometimes even intereferring with their private life, lol. They seem to have nothing against it and sometimes even reward me with a nice pose...

Thanks again for telling what you feel about king or queen? much appreciated. Next time I will focuse more on the thing on the wall, instead of "proofing" that it is on a simple house. I promise.
Thanks for dropping by 'Dreamy Photo' Steve....No this is a place that runs off 'High-Force' and runs into the river Wear at Barnard Castle, In Co Durham!
The area is named 'Bowlee's' up in Teesdale!..........Bob
Thank you for your comment on "Fighting fire" this is not my photo, a friend of mine at work just bought a Nikon D-200 camera and 18mm-200mm lens, he asked me to post this for him, since I have showed him all of the great photos here, he is very happy with all the great comments and will become a member soon, I will let you know when he does.
Thanks for the Water-Falls comments Steve.....taken the same area as 'Dreamy Photo....Near to high Force!...and yeah..I'm always known as the 'Fall Guy?...not because of the Autumn though????.....I have a reputation on here for getting injured when out taking phto's................Cheers for the visits...........Bob
Thanks for commenting on "God's Living Rainbow" and "Other Side of the Fence". Your comments are greatly appreciated. I'm about to take a look at your gallery. Hope you have a nice day!
Hello Steve. Thank you for your comments about “Scarlet.” and “Taking A Bow”. My knowledge of these amazing creatures is somewhat limited. It is however increasing because I enjoy the challenge of photographing them. They can present some odd problems, like the one that insisted on sitting on my lens. I never worked out how to photograph him :-)

Hi Steve, thank you for taking a look at Happiness Fan and such a nice comment! Yes, I always work with LH side free or darker for Icons, as I have collected or made my own set and I like to see them! :)

Thanks for your kind comments about 222 Years. I was simply lucky with this wonderful sky. If the sky is grey, I have the same troubles as you had. On the day, I made the picture 222 Years, it was pretty cold, but the sky .... perfect.

I collect malts,I have about 34 in my collection at the moment...NONE opened!....and after doing 'Bullseye' I nearly drank em all?.....cheers for the visit mate!
Thanks Steve for commenting on my picture "The Dragon" I usually have a long zoom on the camera when I go to the pond so good photos of Dragon flies are an accident.
Hey Steve n thx for the comment on sibilings , glad you liked it.
These are grassland mushrooms so light isn't a problem . I do take scissors for trimming the grass arround the mushroom and use a small reflector screen ( a white piece of paper ) to get some light underneath .
Thank you very much for your kind comments on Down Town. Yes, the people in our city's government have some good ideas. If I could speak that good about my countries government also ... But glad, you came by.
And I am back: Also thank you for your comments about Town Hall Man. Vienna is full of funny and crazy little storys and I try to remember them, when I post a shot. Great you like them.
Thankee Steve for Country Blues....We do get weather like at least twice a year?....
You mention Red Kites....all around my area, and I ain't seen one yet, never mind photo'ed one!...I will...one fine day! Now that wont be until next April...I think!

Hi, Steve. Thanks for your enthusiastic feedback on "Lost and Found!" I've given up on c-index providing any reliable gage of anything on Caedes. Hence, it's comments like yours that make me feel like it's worthwhile to keep uploading images here. Thanks again and Happy Holidays! Wen

Hi there, thanks for your comment on my copper and pink! Thanks for letting me know it was a comma! I wasnt sure and someone else told me! so i took them at their word lol!
Glad you enjoyed it anyway! Jan
Today I talked with my husband about Only a stone's throw, since it is the pic of mine, that has the highest c-index. Chris said, I would have such a higher one, if there would be a blue sky and I said, I still like it, since Vienna is often a little bit dark and depressive. But I promised him - and so I can promise you too - that I will do this shot again on a sunny day. Maybe it will take till spring, but I will. Let's see, if it will win than. Thank you for your lovely comment.

Dear Steve! Thanks for the comment and we had both styles of weather. It was wonderful on Thursday, dark and foggy on Friday and cold and foggy and wet this weekend. We also do not have a lot of leaves anymore, only in the Inner City, since the wind does not find a way inside. Glad you came by.
I am glad, you liked The Major. I have a picture, that shows the statue as a whole, but I do not think, that it looks as good, with that long naked part in the middle.
Thanks for the comments on 'Inside Eden 2' very much appreciated. I hardly ever see Dragonflies and when I do they are going 100mph. Besides I only see wide angle.

4into one was done in Serif's Panorama plus...and it's a 'doddle' to use!....Download version one it's 'free'?
Thanks for the comments on 'Peek a Boo' very much appreciated. At high altitude the sky actually gets that blue. I got some shots up in the mountains yesterday that have some really blue sky.

It took me a while to figure out how you'd come across my gallery and then I realised you're the creator of that beautiful Adonis Blue butterfly photo, which I commented on earlier.
Thanks a million for leaving positive feedback on 'Shady Olive Grove'... photographed in early May this year on Corfu (I adore the Greek Islands - my second favourite place on earth - the first being the Cape Peninsula in South Africa).
Grateful thanks too for your kind comments on 'Knarled Old Tree', which stands in the grounds of Egglestone Hall Gardens in North Yorkshire.
You've some terrific close-ups of bugs there in your gallery. Keep up the good work, especially on behalf of the Wiltshire dragonflies!!
Great seeing you in my galerie again. What you've said about Need a ride? was so kind and wonderful. Thanks a lot. I just start thinking about a carieer as tour guide. Smile.

I am very glad you enjoyed ~Rocky Shore~ Steve.......thank you for those lovely comments....Part of the River wear....taken very near to Witton-le-Wear! on the A68.....Bob
Hi Steve,
Thanks for you kind comment on my picture " mountains on Isle Skye", it is appreciate it well. Your recommendation to take away the piles finds I also but the clonen not yet succeed me so that the photograph remains beautiful. A shall try to make it better.

Hey Steve thx for the comments.
No translocation Steve -; but i do clean up arround the mushrooms and use scissors to trim the grass. And i bought an angle view finder wich has made it a lot simpler to get low and angle my shots upwards.
Thanks for your comment on Madhouse Tower. I made two pictures of this building, the one you know and one, where you can see it as a whole. I do not think, the building itself ist that beautiful, so I posted the one with the trees, but one day I will for sure post the other one too.

Hi, Steve. Thanks for your gracious comments on "Migraine." You can download the program for Apophysis free. It's something of a tedious program, but, when you "hit" on something, it's a great experience. You can download it from here (download the Zip file): http://gygrazok.altervista.org/apo.php
Again, it's a finicky program, but find the EDITOR (Top Menu Bar) and move the triangles and dots around and see what you come up with. LOL! Wen

Thank you ( insert name here ) for your nice comment on ( insert name of photo here ) I am so glad you enjoyed it.......just bored and trying to be funny tonight with the generic thank you. I liked your comment on "Until next Spring" Thank's Steve, I can't wait until they return.
Thanks for the comments on 'Snow Jungle' I really appreciate it. Oh anything can happen up here. They have what is called Chinook winds, warm air that comes in and blows large quantities of snow out in a hurry and causes flooding. That's why some of these lakes are drained in winter, they handle flood water.

Glad you liked my salvaged "A Moths Day" picture Steve. Yes it is easy to get discouraged with your shots when they turn out less than you desired them to be. I figured it couldn't hurt to work a little art on them. Go ahead and give a try on some of your discards and see what you can come up with.
Thankee for Wreck & Ruin Steve mate!.....Yeah, those dogs woulda had me, if I set foot under the wire!......There was a lot of boat work going on in there!
