Thank you for the comment on (Oh Deer) Ole, and welcome to Caedes.net as well. I don't think the fantasy-like effect I put on the picture necessarily adds to it, but I do think that it covered up what I consider to be a slightly poor quality created by the adverse conditions when I took the photo, without taking anything away. I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate the feedback~
Hello there Ole, tks for your nice words on Pile of Weeds, lol. True enough though, that even a little pile of weeds can be very appealing to the eye indeed.

I appreciate the remarks you left on High Above Juneau; yeah, the mountains do give the photo an awesome perspective. By the way, you have a great avatar. Mine's not so interesting, but it gets the job done, I guess. :-)
Mrmarlow, it's unique from other's around here, and that's all that really matters. I had this one lying around and I like the bright colors, so I decided to use it. :>
Hi Ole..thank you for the warm comments on "Where's Mom?". This group was a riot to watch & I agree, my feeder is the site of many comedy shows & other antics. I usually don't have time to grab the camera, but today was the exception. Mom Mockingbird was being very patient with the little ones! Welcome to Caedes.net also!
hi ole , thanks for enjoying my work on « drinking straws » i am glad you liked it so much.
thanks for appreciating my work and hope to hear from you again.:-)
thanks for comment on the dog devil pic........i do agree with you about maybe not having the shadow..........thanks for advice...will try and make a copy without :)
Thanks Ole for your comment and support on "...to the highest bidder." I whole-heartedly agree with your comment. I think some people have taken this image the wrong way. It actually could represent over-consumption.
Hey Ole, thanks for the comment on (Caedes on the Water). I'm glad you liked it and it's nice to see you taking advantage of our new italic priveledges!
Thanks Ole for your comment on st. marys... glad u like it... it is on an odd angle because i was trying to avoid the shot with power lines running through it... :) .... J
Hi Ole; Thanks for looking and commenting on "Rivers of Golden Light". What you are seeing here is very small yellow flowers that bloom for about a week and then the whole plant dies, the environment there is quite inhospitable and they only bloom right after a good rain. The Post Mistress in Mitchell Ore. calls me to let me know when they are blooming and I make a quick 200-mile trip to photograph them. The soil is a reddish clay deposited during a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. There seems to be enough dirt in the gullies to support the flowers but not on the hills themselves. Thanks again for looking I'm grateful.
thanks for your comment on my reflections of a summers day. I tried that manipulation and I didnt particularly like it, it just looked like a lake photo with motion blur, you couldnt tell it was water. But if you like it, you could do the manip and feel free to submit it :)
Thanks for your comments on "Loch Ducks" and glad you liked it.The sun reflected off lilly pads in the foreground and I was not going to put it up for that reason but was persuaded to.
Hi Ole: Thanks for your comments on "Mr. Redwing Waits. I love photographing animals and birds that have a large circle of fear (they run or fly before you get within, up close and personal, photography range). Getting close enough is always magical.
Hello Ole! Thanks for the nice comments on my Mingus Mill 2 photo. I'm glad that you like it. It was shot at ISO 64, f 8 and about a 1 second exposure.

Thank you for the comments on "Mirimar".It was once a convent i believe and there are old shrines and such around the grounds with some nice small bridges going over ponds.
Thank you for your comments and compliments on my posting Bracebridge 7. You asked if the background was converted to greyscale. It was not. The entire image was and remains a color shot. You'll need to look closely at the bark on the branches of the near trees/shrubs to see a bit of red. It was an unusual scene, one that I nearly missed driving by...striking enough to cause me to stop, back up and bale out with my camera. The black railway tressel was so striking against the white snow. I fear that I have not captured it in a manner of its deserving but I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you click the link you'll be able to see where (geographically) the shot was taken for general interest. The location was Bracebridge Ontario, Canada. Use the zoom controls on the left of the page to move out to a point that you might otherwise recognize. Where you see the words "Cedar LN" ...that was pretty much the vantage. Enjoy.
Ole, thank you for your compliments on my photo Bracebridge 8. I do have more in reserves from this photoshoot however ... I think I'll move away from the falls to present some other shots from that day.
Reflection of Pan is a statue of a mythical young Pan running with a fish in his hand. I'm not sure if he has a tail but he does appear to be nude. The statue was weathered and I thought that this angle was more interesting. Thanks Ole for your comments and support. I'm glad that you like it.
