I think your comment about "Sundown Duck" is a fair one. I tried it of centre but it looked better when I used the shadows as a frame. Thanks for letting me know what you think, another persons perspective is always welcome:-)

Thanks for explaining about the stain on the sheep. It makes sense, of course. At work, I color-code one screw head on the middle hinge of doors I want the cleaning crew to lock each night after they finish their routine. It sounds simple, but it took me a long time to come up with a system that works and is easy for everyone to remember!

As I mention at your post today, I am very impressed at how you were able to take such a long range telephoto shot thru the branches even using spot focus. Did you hand focus? Steve

Good morning Philip
Many thanks for your appreciation of "Freshwater National Park 1". Am glad you enjoyed it. I had arrived while still dark, and this frame was snapped just after the sun rose. I know it may appear over-exposed, but the day itself was actually brighter at the time - a definite sunglasses day even that early - so have had to reduce the glare and intensity of the photo.
Enjoy your day

Azaleas 2 is a clipping from my Azalea bush that was stuck in a fence post in the sun. Your comments mean a great deal to me. I am so very pleased that you took the time to visit my Line shack and Aspens images. Thank you for your comment. I do not feel that you are picky. I feel that you know what you like. I must disagree with you on one point. I would not desaturate the yellow of the aspen trees as this is what I am attempting to display. Aspens of this color are indeed rare. I am open to your suggestions anytime. I will always give them some thought and make the change or explain why I did not. Thanks

My thanks for your comments on "Shell Ginger - Alpinia zerumbet", and am pleased you have enjoyed it. Was quite surpised it came out as well as it did, as had to squeeze under the branches of a low and shady tree and push a little through the plant itself (glad the owner didn't see me <grinning>) - was an awkward shot to take. I took note of your comment about the grey, and then realised why it was there - had forgotten to edit the grey cast out before posting the image <slaps forehead with palm of hand> - a few moments in Photoshop or the Gimp will fix that.

Philip;
Thank you for stopping by and looking at my Morning Light and Watercress. There was only one thing better than your comment. That was being there and seeing it in person.

I agree with your comment about my Antelope Canyon #3 being amost an Abstract. I can't even imagine anyone painting colours like these seen here in nature.

Philip,
Please forgive the late response to your comment about Antelope Canyon #5. I don't know how I get so far behind. I am happy that you have enjoyed the series, The best one (I think) is still to be posted.

Thanks for the comment on Sitting. I don't know what you mean by i was doing something in the top left. I changed the color's alittle so they were alittle more realistic since i took it through glass. Maybe that is what you mean? Not sure.

Philip,
Your very kind words are more than nice about my description of my Antelope Canyon #6
To answer your question about the equipment that I use. I usually carry three Hasselblad's (medium format 6X6) with me. One is set up for close-up work only. I also carry Wista 4x5 Field camera. 24 film holders (48 sheets of film), four lenses and all of the rest of the gear that make up large format photo work. I have never been a believer in 35mm film so I carry two Nikon FE2's that I let people use for their work. I now have a Fuji Finepix S2 that I have been using but I would prefer a medium format digital back or my Hasselblad's. They are still a bit to expensive for me. Maybe in another year or so. I hope this answers your question. If not just drop me a PM or an E-Mail anytime.

Philip;
I would like to thank you so very much for all of the kind words that you left for me, and others, to read about my Antelope Canyon series. I am truly humbled by the way you followed the series to the end. I have often made the decision, to leave Caedes but the enthusiasm that you ( and others) show for my images has kept me here. This is my fourth or fifth series that I have posted. Although the responses have always been good, NONE has received the wonderful responses that Antelope Canyon has.This series had brought back many memories of Annie and my trek through this magical place. When I posted my last image and shut down the series, which was difficult to do, I felt that I had said goodbye to an old friend. With deep humility, and bowed head, Thank you so very much for your support.

Hey Philip, thanks for the comment on Bouyancy Rules. It was taken at dusk, a little to dusk for handheld shooting. It got a bit of motion blur and I tried to clean it up with contrast. Good eyes you have;-)
