Thank you for the more then kind remarks on the image. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you Proxima for the comment on "Maidenhair Fern". I appreciate your kindness. From your username I thought you would be into astrophotography rather than macro;-)
Thanks for your comments on ..Fly Brook..Glad you liked it..and also for your comments on "Maigh Bay".And again for commenting on" The Painted Field" So glad that you liked them.
Hey,
thanks for your comment on Tropical Paradise. That beach is in Cozumel, Mexico. I thought the tree really close to the beach was cool too! thanks again!!

Thanks much for the comments on 'Sunsets'. I really appreciate it! The pics were all taken by a field in the middle of North Dakota, where I live. (There's not much to be said about North Dakota, but we *do* have some nice scenery...)
Thank you for commenting on "The Sound of Sadness"...just got lucky actually...the dove co-operated for me and didn't seem overly concerned by my closeness...I wondered later if perhaps it was injured and couldn't fly away...(I hope not)...Thanks again. : Pat.
Thankyou for your comments on my images, I'm glad your enjoying browsing my gallery; if you like you can check out my website, it contains a few images that started life here on caedes, plus some new stuff.
Hi, thanks for the comment on "Alpine sunset #1" - well I used the "Twilight" best-shot mode, but the exposure was 1/640sec, F number was 2.8, max aperture was F/2.6.. Hope this helps :)

Hi, thanks for the comments on "A place to think" - much appreciated. I'm still learning the art of it all, so comments like that one are especially welcome. Cheers!
hey---thank you for writing about "baker road shack." i know it's been a while but I don't get on here as much as I'd like. appreciate your time and obviously your good taste!
Thanks for your comments on my pictures.
As to your question on "Pediment!" Figures in the pediment are the Major members of the Greek pantheon. And the track along the edge depicts Athena's conquest of the Titans.
By the way, this is the Parthenon in Nashville, TN in case you were wondering.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Thanks for the comment on "Quercus palustris". The reason I kept the leaf up and down was to provide unity with the other shots in my Fall Foliage series. Good critique though. Thanks!
that pink sun picture you commented on, just to tell you, its fake and i made it in less than 5 minutes, just some little side info on it, check out my greeness picture, thats my best one
i know, i recognized the cloud texture myself. I've experimented with it too. i was just pointing out the real cause of that halo effect. If look through your camera and aim it to a point not directly at the sun but near it , you'll start seeing the circles.
Thanks for putting "Backlight" in your favorites gallery. I've looked through it, and it contains many of my favorite Caedes posts. I'm honored that you'd include one of mine.
Thanks for the nice comments on my Mountain Stream 3 photo. This was my first attempt at duplicating the effects that I used to get with my film camera using my digital camera. I'm glad that you liked it.

Thanks for your compliments on "Synapse." I was playing around with Photoshop's layer blending properties. I had two copies of the same fractal in different layers. I then used the Liquify filter on each layer to make them less symetrical and more flowing. I kind of lucked into this one - I fiddled so much. Not sure I can replicate the process again. One of those happy accidents that come too rarely.
Thanks for the comments on my Cades Cove Sunbeam photo. This was originally in color but the colors went weird in the darker areas so I converted it to B&W. I was trying to capture the mood of the scene. I'm glad that you liked it.

Hello again, thanks for commenting yet again on another one of my pics, starting to feel like you might be sitting infront of your computer all day just waiting for me to upload another photo (which of course you're not.) but in any case you make me feel all special, thanks again.
