Hey Roland - thanks for the comment on Light on London.
London can be wonderfully bright and colourful and wonderfully grey to - This was one of those times - Increased contrast and a denoiser gives the image any effects it has.
You cannot even imagine how many mosquitos are hiding deep in the thick forest waiting for such a stupid photographer like me, standing there for hours in one positions taking hundreds of shots to their great satisfaction, lol. That is why I try to go there before they hatch. Not always successful, he, he
Hi Roland, You gave me some great tips on my pic "Until Next Time" I need alot more responses like yours. So I just wanted to thank you for your response and appreciate your words anytime! It seems you know a thing or two about taking pics and I hope you continue to respond to some of my work. Thanks again! Hope you come home soon.

Thanks Roland for the comments on the “Iowa State Capitol Building” It’s a building that seems to always be going through some sort of renovation work. Welcome back
Hey Roland, thanks for the comment on "Sun & Grass." I agree that the sun does flare a bit... I'm trying to find my polarized sunglasses, so I can imrovise a filter for my camera.
Hey there Roly
So glad you enjoyed viewing my 'Conkers'????..You really DONT want to know what I get up to in the woods????.......heh! heh!.........Bob
Thank you very much for your thoughtful and positive feedback on 'Shady Olive Grove'. I'm so pleased you like it and I greatly appreciate the time you took to comment on it. Looks like there's several of us getting together for a virtual picnic at the spot. I'll let you know the date! Kind regards Roland.

Thanks for your kind comment on "Sunny spells: heavy showers", Roland. It was actually shot in colour not BW, but the strong backlighting leached all the colour out of it... :-)

Hi Roland, many thanks to you for your comments! I appreciate them very much! However, I must admit, while being a novice at what I do, your technical discription was a little difficult to understand, but very much appreciated! I have much to learn, and hope someday to have the knowledge and skills so many wonderful people on this site display for us each day! Instruction is good for me, crtiqing is great help, so thank you again for your comments! I will look forward to your next visit, as I would enjoy that! Sincerely, Marilyn

Hi Roland! Thanks for your nice comments on "Going Home..."! I haven't had a lot of time to spend checking out any of the new artists or the new images let alone working on any of my own images!! Been a crazy spring! Checked out your gallery. You have a gift with a camera! Thanks again! Vicky
thank you for leaving me a comment on my "Fly Catcher". You are right, it's a 2004 Triumph Speed Triple, the best bike I ever owned and there were a lot. This bike ran 20.000 mls over the last two years without a single problem - not even a bulb got broken. The Kawasaki's are great bikes too, especially the Ninja ZX-10R is the perfect weapon for any racetrack. But when it comes to everyday life and riding on secondary roads there is nothing better than a Speed Triple. Give it a try, you won't regret it...
Thanks again for watching and leaving a comment, much appreciated.

Hey there Roly old friend....sincere thanks for your fine words to Fire Tower....If you care to put in the words BOL when you mentioned me being a WAR lock! you will find that suits me best??????.................Bob
***I'M BACK***
Please forgive me for not replying to your work as I seem to be so popular that I have around 300 to answer to!
I will get to yours Soon!
Thanks for your coments on "Self Portrait". I'm glad you liked it. To answer your question ...
A Kodak Easy Share Z650, set on closeup setting. I was about 12 inches from him, cloudy day, no flash, full auto setting, no post editing other than cropping.
Hey there Roly....Appreciate you visit to Lonely at the Top' I tell you my friend...you have a 'sharper' wit than me?........* carry my bench* roooooooooaaarrr! heh! heh!..
You must be a 'natural'...............Cheers for now..........Bob
Pack your stuff and you will hear skylark singing "in the countryside". There are so many people willing to relax under the lonely tree. I am sure we will all have a nice picnic. You will forget about everyday tedious works and will enjoy the feeling of peace and contentment.
hey there Roly What cheer to you....that's a canny comment you gave for Castle Keep my friend....The only trouble with the rescu'ing of these owd beauties...There's bugger'all I can do after I saved them!!!!...good idea of yours Re: the bench though?

Oodles of thanks for your flaming nice words about "morning glitter", Roland. Glad it set your eyes a blaze!! I managed to capture the gentle rose taking bath in the morning. She felt so confused…
Thanks for commenting on Lunch is Served. About the cropping, agree with you, but the only problem with that is the framing with a image half the size of the screen doesnt look so good (or i cant at least), or if i blow it up it will become blurry. However, i've somewhat done some cropping in my other chipmunk photo (same one) just that i turned the little guy blue. Thanks again for the input- Noah.
Hey Roly owd mate! where ya been?....missed you like ice-cream? just melts away when yer not there!...
Sincere thanks for your visit to Presentation! I 'think' I was standing for this one?
Cheers.....bob
You had me lost for words after your comments about Dunajec castle. I felt quite honoured and humbled to read your warm compliments. With some noise or without it the castle still seems to be a perfect topic for photography.
You ask me how did I take "Dunajec river" capture. Believe me you would prefer not to know... I was hanging down from the cliff, with a camera in one hand, lol. I would simply do everything to please you guys here in Caedes, lol.
Hi happy Sunday morning to you! How nice to see your sweet comments on "You make my Heart Smile"! So glad you enjoyed the intense colors, as I have said previously, I have this compulsion to oversaturate, but I love it! Someday I must learn to discipline this urge to do so, LOL! How is my little marine doing these days, so happy you joined Ceades, and will always look forward to your future visits! So glad you are now home with your American friends, and that Iraq is far behind you! We will take care of you and welcome home again!! Thanks again my friend, Sincerely, Marilyn
Nice to see you in my butterfly gallery, Roland. I suppose the eyes of a "peacock butterfly" drew your attention. As far as I know these eyes are supposed to discourage predators. This time - quite the opposite, lol. I hope the flutterfly was an enjoying feast for your hungry eyes...
Thanks big bunches for your warm reply to "sunlight glance", Roland. So glad you liked the result of my evening session. The sunset was a little bit distracted by heavy clouds that looked dark and threatening but this is what made the scenery powerful.
Weeeell ! Hello there soldier no more!....welcome back from where-ever you been!...Kind thanks for your comments to Fancy Crook mate!....did you see! the others...I put a series of three on here!....'Market-stick'...'Trout-Stick'...and this one!....Good idea from you...a series of benches eh!.........That should go down a real treat!........cheers for now...Bob
I'm so happy you found your way to “color feast”, Roland. This is what I like most about fall season: golden leaves, which linger reluctantly in the still, melancholic air with an easy float…
Hi Roland and thanks for your comments on my CONSERVATION AREA
You know I never noticed the horizon line until you mentioned it, thanks, I will have to keep a closer eye on that aspect of my shots.
Thanks again, much appreciated, Don

Hey Roland, thanks for the comments on Tarn Hows, appreciate it. I actually cloned out about ten other people from the image but thought i'd leave those in to give it a sense of scale. As for the lighting, that's down to a bit of patients and a warm coat:) I think we sat there for about 45 minutes waiting for a beam of light to break through and hit those trees.
Hey Roland, my friend......your lovely words to my sentimental walk overwhelms me with pride! So glad you liked the result of my fall session in the park. There were so many people around I decided to build the whole concept of the capture around them.

It's good to know that there is someone out there who looks at those little things that come across one's way with the same eyes as I do. Thank you my friend for your warm comment on crying rose. It seems that glittering tears of a rose worked like magic and drew your attention.
"Praise the light of late November,
the thin sunlight that goes deep in the bones.
Praise the crows chattering in the oak trees;
though they are clothed in night, they do not
despair. Praise what little there's left:
the small boats of milkweed pods, husks, hulls,
shells, the architecture of trees. Praise the meadow
of dried weeds: yarrow, goldenrod, chicory,
the remains of summer. Praise the blue sky
that hasn't cracked yet. Praise the sun slipping down
behind the beechnuts, praise the quilt of leaves
that covers the grass: Scarlet Oak, Sweet Gum,
Sugar Maple. Though darkness gathers, praise our crazy
fallen world; it's all we have, and it's never enough."

Thank you for your heartwarming words of friendship and positive reinforcement of my efforts at "November impressions III", Roland. I am looking forward to your next visit.

Thanks for the comments on 'Mountain Peak (HDR)' very much appreciated. Why shoot ISO 200? It was very heavily overcast with occasional sun breaks. I just needed more light so I kicked it up to 200.

Hi Rpland, I really appreacite your thoughful comment on my collage picture. Yes, the black background may have emphasized the red of the leaves better.
Hi Roland, and thanks for veiwing and commenting on my post of "Nesting 10". When you have time please check out my other photos in this Series. Hope you find a couple you like. Thanks Again !
hi roland, thanks so much for the comment on trajan's kiosk. it seems that you're into the history of the area so please add to whatever i say anytime. it would be a treat! jen
Thanks for your comments on "Blah..." I tend to have the problem with the soft-focus a lot for night shots... I'm using a Canon 700IS so it's just a handheld camera and there's really no way to manually focus it. So getting a sharp focus at night through a window is more than a challenge! Thanks for the compliments on the composition and everything, too. I really appreciate it!

She was crying and crying… all her petals soaked with tear drops falling down on the ground… But then some friendly face looked upon her tangerine petals and smiled. All the sadness was gone. Even threatening clouds dispersed unexpectedly. Now there were already several faces bowing with curiosity to catch a glimpse of this sunlit beauty. It seems that glittering tears of a rose worked like magic...
Hi Roland... ty so much for the comment on The Garden House...
I looked at it and i thought that grass was very very sharp.... BUT no way to remove it without cropping all the scenery out... BUT i agree completly with what you mention... TY :)
Hello, Roland: Thanks for your comments on my "Nevada Wonderland" photo. If you ever get out to the Las Vegas area, you should definitely pay a visit to the Valley of Fire. - Greg
