Rules are for those who always follow the rules; there are no rules in photography because this isn't a game but an art! :P -Me-
Great minds think alike I guess! The difference is your Reflections of Autumn is a true nature scene...my Reflections are off the the swimming pool in my back yard! ;-)

Putting your pictures in my favorites is the highest honor I can give you. If I could, I would give you an award. But alas, I cannot. So the highest praise I can award you with, is faving your artwork.
*****Wow, looks like a long way down. Thanks for posting this. Really gives us a different perspective on these shots and shows us how much work really goes into getting the great shots you get. Awesome. *****
Thank you so much for that reply.
Indeed, it is easaly forgotten how much effort and swet, like hikes with 35 C heat and full camera gear, goes into these postings, let alone the money it costs to visit these places, since they are certanly not "around the corner"
But now it sounds as if i am complaining.. wich i am not :-)
Just a humble thanks for recognizing the efforts..
Hans.

Hey man..thanks, as always for commenting on my recent shots...on "Hornbeck's Creek 8", it was a little bit later in the day, maybe 4pm...so the sun was below the trees. It did give some great lighting.
Thanks for viewing my trago lake pick and yes it is a bit out of focus tobe truefull with you i had to snap this and about 10 others very quick as the center was closeing.
Plus i was not in the shop with my wife as i had a dodge guts lol.
My wife gave me the evening before some bad chicken.
I was bubbleing more than the lake lol.
The Petrified Forest arid badlands are only 50 miles from the Mogollon Rim, it's hard to believe they are in same state let alone next to each other...talk about extremes! Thanks for dropping in Ryan and glad you know the area
Thks for adding me as friend. I love your AZ work. I Googled the Salt River Canyon. Found a book on that and many other scenic drives. AZ is a beautiful state.
I appreciate your comment very much on Owd Barn. I had deleted the post so you can imagine my surprise that it is still up and I have all these comments!! Again many thanks to all you great people here on Caedes!!
Hi Ryan
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on "Crested Barbet". No I didn't use a flash, but it is summer here in Africa and the natural sunlight is very bright indeed. Perhaps that's why it appears that way to you. The colours are a pretty accurate reflection of this birds natural plumage. Have a great weekend!

Hey Ryan...thanks again for commenting on my shots (most recently "Great Head Trail")...I've been crazy busy recently and away from here for awhile, so I'm likely overdue for thank you's and such...but for all it's worth, thanks again, very much appreciated.

Midnight Rendezvous
Save that from yonder ivy-mantled tower
The moping owl does to the moon complain
Of such as, wandering near her secret bower,
Molest her ancient solitary reign.
Beneath those rugged elms, that yew-tree's shade,
Where heaves the turf in many a mouldering heap,
Each in his narrow cell for ever laid,
The rude Forefathers of the hamlet sleep....
