Tracie i use a Minolta Dimage 7i, but the achievement is not entirely dependent on the camera, it´s mostly dependent on three things if you want a sharp picture.
1. The camera has to be absolutely still (use a tripod), i also use the self-timer to be on the safe side.
2. The object also has to be still (no wind etc.).
3. Let the autofocus do the work.
Most digital cameras today can take decent pictures. With a digital camera you can also take as many pictures as you want and it doesn't cost you a fortune to develop.
You are a legend! I'd love to take lessons from you or something. Learn all your talent through osmosis! Wish that was possible. My main problem is lack of financial resources to get the right equipment and software for my work. I know I'm creative, but I'm still a novice, quite in learning. I will continue to fawn on your talents and hopefully learn something!
I have to say, "Attic" is one of the most moving works I've seen in some time. Simultaneously sufficating, desperate, and hopeful, its a perfect shot in the most imperfect of settings.

Darryl, we Scandinavian both Swedes, Norwegians and Danish where Vikings. We conquered and made trade with different part of the world. Leif Erickson is just one exemple....:-)

Hi Samuel. I was catching up with images I've missed of yours. I enjoyed my visit to your gallery. There was no need to reciprocate but I do appreciate your nice comment on "Which Came First?" That was a fun work to do. Thank you. It's always a honor to see that "eye" on my pages. ;)

Samuel - I really appreciate your comments on "The Waters of Life"
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hello! Nice to read your comment!
I took the series with my old Minolta Dimage A1 (my Nikon D70 was stolen...). Not bad at all for an "old timer" ;-)
I just bought a D80 now (the D300 is really expansiveà. What a nice cam with a great viewfinder!
Hej Samuel! Thank you so much for stopping by and leave such a nice comment on "Defying the Weather", greatly appreciated.
I shot this a typical swedish November day up in the ´Blue Mountains` -Kilsbergen- in Närke.
HI there Samuel..how great to see your name pop up on my image ~resting~! Your kind, warm words are very deeply appreciated.
I am very fortunate that we have a Butterfly Conservatory very near our home and we visit it often. The only problem is the thousands of butterflies that are there almost always fly near the top of the Conservatory where no one is able to shoot them with their camera!!! lol
I wish you and yours all the blessings of the New Year.
