Thanks David for your kind comment on "Zurich Sunset". Swiss is an amazingly beautiful country with lovely people; you won't regret a trip, especially to Lucerne!
Hi Catherine, Thanks for your honest comment on "Hey You" I value all comments and keep them in mind when doing my editing. The way the one bird was hanging onto the side I did not have any room to really alter the image. Have a great evening. Sandi♥
The comment you left at Standing out was very kind. Thank you. It was much appreciated. I would also like to bring your attention to this Discusion . If you have time please drop by.

Thanks a lot, my good friends, for "Varadero Beach" comments. This one I took about 2 1/2 years ago and I believe it was my Canon S-something! (broken since!). Currently, I have an Exilim Z1000 (Casio, an excellent little companion) and, a Canon SLR EOS Rebel xt, purchased only two weeks ago (after I won the fight with my wife....every once in a blue moon, I do win!).
Thanks once again for your very kind words!
Kia Ora Catherine and David - many thanks for commenting on Still Waters :)
David - I waited until the ripples some ducks had made disappeared so I would get as calm a shot as possible :)- but appreciate your thoughts about throwing in a stone for ripples.
Catherine - you and I - both agree - it would not have been 'Still' waters with ripples in it lol
Also, thanks for the nice words on "Sunflowers II". This kind of scene is very "European" in nature. I can see why it brings back memories to you. I'm glad you liked it, and thank you once again!
The piece of wood in "Drifting" has had me wondering. It is such a specific shape that it must be from something , but what? Anyway it caught my eye and that's all that matters. Thanks for commenting.
For now, my night shots has come to a close, but will post some others on a later
date for sure. For the moment i want to thank you for your time and reply to my
posting(s) It was great to read them all, thanks again,
Hans.
...And many thanks for your kind words on "Lonely"! You're quite right about the pic being too dark: it was quite a cloudy day and even though the light was soft and diffuse, it was a bit on the dim side. I could perhaps have changed the "light" and "exposure" settings but I think I would have lost detail had I done so. Anyway, I'm sure there MUST be a better way to overcome the problem but I'm only learning! I promise you, though, that I AM working on it! Many thanks, once again!
