G'day Wendelyn,
Glad you liked the colours in my latest photo, the sunset sky was often that kind of colour in that area, must be something to do with the local conditions.
Mikel.
Wendelyn, thanks again for your comment, this time of my 'Lake of Veere 1' image. As you are on my friends list now, I don't miss any of your new posts. As far as possible I will comment on them, like I do with the posts of my other Caedes-friends. To prevent that I'm sitting 24 hours a day behind my computer, I'm using the policy not to say any longer 'thank you' for any comment given by my Caedes-friends on my images. Hope you'll understand this and that it doesn't mean at all that I don't appreciate the given comment on my images. Oh, no, it's on the contrary. Regards Cornelius
G'day Wendelyn,
Yeah the Commonwealth Place shot does have some funky futuristic feel going on. Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my recent uploads. :)
Peace,
Mikel.
I personally use PhotoFiltre, not Photoshop, but both a great.
I'm sure there was a better way to do it, but to get the colo just on the child in "Bright Spot", I made everything around him B&W by making boxes (and eventually the more specific space around him) and then making those B&W.
Thanks Wendelyn for commenting on my unusual butterfly picture “Leaf”. It’s the first time I have seen this butterfly in the house so I don’t know anything about it.
G'day Wendelyn,
Galahs are pretty smart, most communal birds are, seems community living requires the ability to think about subtle things so communal birds are generally smarter than loner birds. Galahs pair off but live in large flocks, in captivity they make engaging pets but I'd prefer they were all flying free. :)
Peace,
Mikel.
ps About that distracting blue space. Lol. Here in Oz, the sky is blue and it's big and if we let that distract us we'd all keep walking into things. Glad you liked the colours all the same. :)
pps Glad you liked Simplicity. :)
G'day Wendelyn,
Some roos, the males, get pretty tall and they are super muscular but they generally avoid humans in the wild so they don't pose any kind of threat.
Mikel.
Aloha Wendelyn, Thank you for all your nice comments on my displays. I also liked 'soft lite' because the Sun was trying so hard to come thru the clouds and it kinda looks like 2 eyes with eye brows and a finger in one eye, maybe something got caught in it's eye's. Yep! I like it too.
Hey Wendelyn..thanks for commenting on "B&W Stream"...one of my favorite things to shoot is flowing water and you can really capture the flow by decreasing your shutter speed. If you use a tripod or manage to keep completely still, the water will be blurred and the rest of the image nice and clear. Try it out, it's a lot of fun!
Thanks for the message...I had a look at your gallery and I really like your sunset shots. I really like deep contrasts and the brilliant colors of a sunset is a perfect match. Keep 'em coming...I'm jealous that you live in California by the way, I gotta travel a bit to get to the beach...but that still doesn't stop me!
Yeah..we do get all four distinct seasons over here. 10 degrees with snow in the winter and 98 degrees with 100% humidity in the summer. I used to love the snow as a kid, but now that I have to deal with it to get to work, etc., it's kind of getting old. Maybe we'll have to switch places for a bit!!
Hey hey...thanks for commenting on "Hawk Run B&W"...I'm a huge Ansel Adams fan, so I'm really glad you drew some comparisons!! I did the framing like the Ansel Adams square plates.
Hey Wendelyn,
You Spunky Monkey YOU.
Thanks for the positive feedback on the last Berlin Creek photo and for your faithful responses to my uploads. I appreciate your input and ongoing support.
Happy 08 to you and I hope you get lots of GOOD things this year.
Hey Wendelyn,
Thanks loóóads for your beautiful words on "Golden Rays", they are greatly valued, (~8
Note that I've taken nine shots of the view, one very dark, one a tad lighter, one another tad lighter, and so on until one that is extremely bright, then combined them in software to get every bit of detail from very dark to very light out of it, if I wouldn't have done that, the sun would look all white, and the houses all black, (~8
So glad you liked it,
