Thank you so much on behalf of BJ and me for the nice compliment on "Sweet Oregon Blossoms." BJ does wonders with my images and is such a pleasure to work with. I love the new and different photographic opportunities offered by the Oregon climate having been born and raised in Douglas, Arizona. Thank you for letting BJ and I know you enjoyed the photo. Steve
Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment about "Remember When The Train Built A Nation". I feel a lot of emotions about that scene and that past, and they change from day to day as I contibute more memories and thoughts to the gestault that is my (our) past. I didn't expand in the text for example about the poor black workers that rode those trains serving the white patrons and passing quietly and desperately into the broadcloth of our culture. No one speaks for them - sort of like the mound itself.
"Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual."

Thank youfor viewing my White Dove of the desert. I lived in Phoenix for eleven yeas and visited the mission many times also. Like you I was always in awe. Isn't is a magical place? I especially like the small grotto with all of the letters asking for help. It is very touching. Please visit my other images.

Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art.
It is a solar phenomenon,
where the artist collaborates with the sun.

Thanks so much for you time and comments, on Mommy I'm scared. About the quotes, i just thought i might use these quotes to enhance the images because i know someone else has expressed it better then i ever could. I wish i could. Dwight.
Thank you for the compliment you left for me on "The Oaks Of St. Joseph". I'm one of those people who in arguments always loses, because I can never think of salient points until much later when it's too late to matter. With a pen, though and with a camera you have time - time to think- time to organize your thoughts. The result is a permanent creation carefully arranged saying exactly what you want it to say. I used to post every good photo I had, but then I realized that if I stopped and thought about each one and what it had to say it would mean so much more. Thanks for the validation you left me.
Hi sublime , nice to meet you ! I´m really glad for your very kind comments on my glass images. I appreciate them very much ! In this moment the third image is uploaded by bjb. A different one..hope you like also that one.. Welcome back..... Arne
Thanks so much for your comments on my stained glass photo. I got my 1st taste of working with glass at an adult ed course and then found a wonderful teacher who owned her own shop.
People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in,
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

Thanks for your post on Sunny leafI am really glad you liked it so much :). It is one of those rare images that actually look the way I wanted it to be.

Hi Kelli, many thanks for your comments on "At Twilight"! I appreciate it very much and please stop by again for another visit! I would enjoy that! Sincerely, Marilyn
Hey Kelli, I appreciate the comment and feedback on the photo. Yeah, there are quite a few AZ people on here from what I can tell. Well, the Sonoran Desert is the most beautiful desert in the world so go figure :) I just posted another shot that I took the same day with a completely different color spectrum. Crazy stuff happens here in AZ!
Hey there Kelli,
Thanks for taking the time to comment on "Bridge Supports". I guess I could have darkened the shot a little but it's kinda like cheating to do that. It struck my eye as it was, so why change a good thing. I will change a shot if I think it has potential but dosn't catch my eye, just to see if the change will make it a keeper. Did that make sence ? I hope so ................John
Hi Kelli,
thanks you so much for commenting on Wizards!
I really appreciate that you took the effort of writing some words on this photo in particular.
You see, this is the kind of photograph I like myself so much and hope to see more on Caedes.

Tha application I used to make "Olympic Dawn" (Bryce) is on the blink for me at the moment (ie not working). I might be able to make an updated version for the 2008 games perhaps! Personally I always found the Summer games so much more inspiring but I will probably tune in for this years I guess. We have the Commonwealth games in Melbourne this year so that will be "the" sporting event for me this year. Thanks very much for your comment!
Hi Kelli...thanks so much for dropping by with your positive feedback on San Francisco 1912...I'm happy to hear you liked it well enough to save...not my usual sort of image but lately I'm having alot of fun delving into old photos etc. and trying new things...I appreciate your visit and support on this image.:Pat.

Thanks for liking the Friendly Canines. Yes initially there was a moment of wonder as the girl did not see me and the dogs really ran toward me. But with no growls or other bad indicators, I felt good about them when they were withing 20 feet.
Thanks for commenting on my work. I'm new to caedes and nice words are always uplifting. I will be moving to Phoenix with my husband and son in a few months, so you'll be seeing some work that may resemble your own. :) Fabulous photos by the way, you have a great eye.
Thanks for your comments on 3 of my photos, been some time since I had a gal pay that much attention to me ;) That trip last week to Arizona was the first time I've spent any quality time in your state, you really do have a beautiful playground. Thanks again.
