Tony, thank you for the honesty on my lastest image, "Smith Falls." Several other times people have mentioned my photos having a slight slant.. I work pretty hard for those pictures, so I certainly want to correct the easy little problems. My eyesight isn't what it used to be. So thank you very much - I really appreciate your help, and I'll be pay a lot more attention to that aspect of my work in the future. :) Steve

Thanks for the comment on Over the Valley. I agree with you on the light pole. I think it does add to the picture. I think the other lines carl was talking about is the bars on the side that i had to add due to the picture being taken the other direction. I agree that they don't look very good. But ohwell what can i do. As for where i mettered it. I think it was probably the sky. I shot this one raw and what it looked like out of the camera was alot different. Alot of the yellow wasn't there and the black wasn't as black. There was some more detial. Im glad you enjoyed it.

Tony, thanks for your comment on "Barred Owl". I'd love to submit some new stuff, but I've been pretty busy lately and not shooting (and editing) as much as I'd like. Hopefully I'll get back on the wagon soon. :)
Tony;
I am so far behind in my correspondence. Please forgive the late posting to your comment.
Your comments mean a great deal to me. I am so very pleased that you took the time to visit my Bristlecone Pine tree in the Clouds image. I took this omage on a mountain named Evans it is aabout 30 miles west of Denver, Colorado.. Thank you for your comment.

Hello Tony, Thank you for your comments about “Sandy Turbulence”. I actually went out to get a sunrise photo that day. It was nice but nothing special so I amused myself by photographing the rocks.
Hi Tony, thanks for your comments on "Buckingham Palace". You have to be real quick with your camera in London - it goes from sun (rare) to rain in about 5 minutes flat. We got lucky! M

Hey Tony Thanx for your comment on "Lamborghini Gallardo". Nauxilium was rite, the numberplate is German. And the car next to it is a diablo, good guessing. Have a good time.
haha? not sure if you thought Late@night was funny or just laughing because it's a Hip thing but either way I dont reckon it matters cause I dont mind...
Thank you Tony for your comments on "Hurricane Ridge Sunset.” I'm pleased you enjoyed it. I very seldom use layered images, as they are really two or three images that can stand-alone. This image is one of the few that take (in this case) four high impact images that when put together make a single image that has an even higher impact together rather than alone.
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

Tony thanks for Liking "Aira Force2". It was 6 whole Seconds, not 1/6. ;)
it was very overcast and raining, and under lots of tree cover. and at F/32 and iso100 its not hard to get 6 seconds. :D the Rain was al over the lens making the image slightly smudged but i fixed that in photoshop. the wind was blowing the plants, blurring them, which wasnt very helpful either.
thanks for commenting. :)
Hey Tony thx for your comment on sky .The reason i made it like that is that is was ment to be a desktop backgroud and i don't like it if my pitograms are on the pic.
If it was just a pic a agree with you.
Good Morning Tony,
Thank you for visiting my,"Road to Cottonwood Lake" I do not understand the C-index ratings at all either. This was my lowest score f I remember correctly. I do not pay much attention to the score but I rely on comments from other members. To me that is the best guide.

Thanks, Tony.. Glad you liked my Thumper.. Also, glad to know it's not one of those "snapshot fractals".. I work hard on all of them, before I post.. This old lady appreciates your comment..
Hey Tony :D
Thanks for commenting on *Bliss*...I'm pleased you liked it ^_^
Yes I know it's quite busy with all the colours and detail - I don't tend to use fractals as backgrounds either...but it's pretty to look at anyway :]
Thanks again,
Best wishes

Hello Tony. I'm glad you noticed "Watching You", my egret photo. I shot over forty photos of that damned bird that day, but the light in south Louisiana in the 96 degree summer is so flat, that I had to boost the background contrast to get the animal to stand out well. It's rare that we get so close to them, so it was worth it to scan all those images.
Thanks Tony for the comments on "Mighty Cold". Sometimes the best way to do something is also the cheapest. Glad you like it.

Hey thanks for stopping by to comment on Lines: mayors office London. U must have taken a lot of photos to get the one u took like this lost. Hope you find it.
Hi Tony, Thanks for the kind comments on "Together We Stand".
You asked: "I really want to know what you do in post processing, because your colors are always so smooth." I think it has more to do with what film I use and how I scan an image. This particular image was made using Fuji Velvia. This film is a favorite amongst pro photographers for its richness and slightly exaggerated contrast and color saturation. It was scanned at 72 dpi on a Nikon LS-2000 Super Cool Scan. I hope this answers your question. If you would like to know more, PM me and I'll see what other information I can give you.

Hello Tony,
It's always nice to see that people respond to shots that I post, which I know will not receive a high ranking, but which are in fact my own favourites. Sheeps in the mist is such a photograph, so you did do my a great pleasure to respond.
Thanks Tony!

That's good that you figured out that it was a moth. I saw one of them once and it just blew my mind. I couldn't figure out what in the world it was but me being a major science nerd, I whipped out my handy-dandy field book, and looked it up. ;) Thanks for the comment. (Sorry for the delayed reply, I never remember to check this.)
Tony - Thank You for your comments on Good Morning. Your eyes are better than mine, but I am going to blame it all on the camera. :) Thanks again for your time and interest.
Thanks for the comments on 'Pine Creek' very much appreciated. I use a polarizer on occasion with mixed results. I shoot in RAW format where you must do all post work in a RAW editor and a polarizer in that format just becomes moot. You can pretty much get the same results by changing the exposure in the editor.

Hi Tony,
Glad you enjoyed "Morning After". Yep, that was real color, not enhanced at all. My neighbors and I were shocked when we saw that in the morning. We still talk about it. Thks for viewing.

Thanks for the comments on 'My Hiking Buddy' much appreciated. I'm afraid that if I would have sharpened anymore I would have started bleeding. It even went through a high pass sharpen filter.
