HAHA.. Thanks for your last words on Franklin Avenue. I might have over straightend the shot using Photoscape. It's hard to tell though given the diagonal lines, but I used the pole and building on the right as a refferance. My tripod was aslo about a foot off the ground for a low approach.
I'll try it sober next time.

Rob, thanks for the comments on my scene. About the scores, I stopped watching the scores so there is no heart break here. I figure, as the Caedes population grows, it will just get harder to get higher scores. As long as my stuff gets displayed and enjoyed by the ones who appreciate it, thats all that matters to me. Yes, the rest of the face was intendedly overexposed.
I know what you mean with the monitors. This photo can look very different on a variety of monitors. But I and everyone who saw the print is very enthusisastic about this photo.
The sadness you see behind the eyes is just an act. This girls is 16 years old but she worked it as if she had been in the bussiness for years. Very professional. Next week sunday we are organising a big fasion photoshoot in my house. I expect we can shoot at least 5 girls/women.
And I can assure you...this is BIG fun!

Thanks for the comment on Nosferatu. I'm using a regular digital camera. I'm not sure how to work with the aperture and such, as it's been a year or two since I took my semester of photography. I just point and click and take lots of shots, experimenting with different angles and lighting and such, and see what happens.

Rob, you are so right about Banff. I've never been so humbled as I was at the foot of those mountains. I hope I never forget it. May was a good month too - peaks were still snowy, meltoff hadn't happened, ... and few tourists. I hope you can go back too. If you do, and you get pics, hope you post them. Take care, Quiet

That's okay Rob, I myself don't know much about fractals but I just wanted to try it since I've seen wonderful creations with it. I'm sitting here in disbelief. A few members saw fit to take me to task (publicly) for the tone of my posts on various threads in the recent past. In none of those thread entries, did I yell (all caps), resort to name calling, browbeating, or any of the other base behaviors displayed here.

I've made statements, voiced opinions, and taken stances on various things. Be it the Cindex, voting, or whatever the hell it happened to be. I took the time to read fully what others wrote, and while some of what I had to say was found to be less than palatable, I minded my manners, and at least maintained a level of civility.

What's transpired on this thread is akin to nothing less than an unchecked rampage. I'm not sure which is more shameful. The loss of self control on the part of various members, the lame effort made to reign them in (as so far they've been ignored) or the fact that their behavior seems to be ok, but mine was not.

Jacqueline, you're not only seriously short of anything resembling manners, but sense as well. The only reference I'd actually made to you, was to quote your one line "I'm not the only one who feels this way", which I followed up with quoting Lauren's PM (while attempting to actually leave her anonymous). So all that BS you've been spouting is based on...a mistake. Did you bother to ask me what I meant? No. Full steam ahead like a bull in a china shop.

Lauren, you seem to have had me in your sights for a while now, so your explosion at me wasn't actually all that surprising. Twice before, Cat had chosen to take me to task, and there you were adding your two cents as well. Fine, if we at least had some ongoing communication.
