Hi Tim, welcome to caedes and thanks for taking the time to comment on my Palace Columns. I may post a color version of the shot at some point, but I preferred the b/w.
I'm not a professional photographer but I enjoy sharing my work with everyone and viewing other peoples work.

Tim, thanks for your comment on"Patience". At slack tide with no wind the Hood Canal is often this still and calm...so, I can't claim that I had to wait,I just snapped this one on my way to work one morning. :)

Thanks Tim for commenting on my picture “Pound Howler”. These little guys aren’t much bigger than your thumb and getting close enough to photograph one was quite a challenge.
Hi Tim, thanks for your comment on green, its some kind of plant buds in my garden, and it was taken in raw so just the levels and whatnot were adjusted. glad you enjoyed it anyway.

Hi Tim, thanks for your comments on my Condor photograph. How high was I? Well I had my feet firmly on the ground! lol! I took the photograph of the Condor at Chester Zoo, but the background was messy, so I removed the background and put him on a picture of Stirling countryside which I took from Stirling Castle in February. Glad you like it!

Hi Tim, no I did not take the photograph of the Millennium Bridge with a fish eye lens. I have a Tamron 18-200 lens. I took the photograph at 18mm which would give it a fish eyed lens appearance but the bridge itself is dynamically shaped so it does not look much different on the photograph than it actually is! :)

I do appreciate you taking the time. However, to set the record straight ... I did use a couple of images in that manipulation.
The base 'base' image, the one of the book and so forth ... was cropped using a template employing the '3 X 2 Golden Rule of Composition' (available for Macs and PCs).
I think it was quite effective in drawing the viewers' eyes to the elements that I wanted highlighted visually. Your words attest to that aspect.
The butterfly was added to bring home the concept that I had had in mind regarding the strength ... and beauty of the written and spoken 'word'.
Still, I will gratefully accept your kind words. :oP
Just kidding a little, I do thank you for taking the time.
I need your opinion please! I'm entering a photo competition. Please go to my gallery and tell me which one of these five you like the best?
A.) Up Close and Personal
B.) This Beetle Likes Pink
C.) This Beetle Likes Pink II
D.) Love Bugs
E.) One Thirsty Fly
If there is another image in my gallery you think I should consider, I'm open to suggestions.
Hey Tim, thanks for your comment on "Florence from on top of the Duomo" it's much appreciated! I just browsed through your gallery and you've got a lot of great pictures in there. I was especially impressed with you bird shots - which I have attempted myself but with little success, whats the secret haha?!
Also, good luck with your new camera, I'm sure you'll get a lot more super shots with it.
