Hello Rose. Welcome to Caedes. Be warned that Caedes can be addictive but you couldn’t get a nicer addiction :-)
I actually dropped round to acknowledge those wonderful comments you left at “Burning Beauty”. You wrote a thoughtful and meaningful review. Thank you.

Thanks for noticing me! I don't remember how I stumbled on this website, but I love it! I have always loved photography and used an SLR in the "olden" days before digital. I got my first digital SLR about two years ago. I will be uploading some photos soon!

Thanks Rose for taking the time to comment on my butterfly picture “Perched On Green”. A warm butterfly house is a good place to be when it is below zero outside
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

"To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."

Hey Rose, thank you so much for your comment on Twin Poppies! haha yes i do remember Wizard of Oz...in a history class of mine we watched it and found all of these hidden things, and one was the opium. it was pretty funny. anyways, thanks again, good to hear you liked it! ~abby
i apologize for my delay in replying to all of your wonderful comments...i am busy working a couple of jobs and enjoying the last summer with my friends
I started making pictures round about march 2006 and then stopped in feb 2007 because I sold my camera to Harm Gunnink who is also a member. I'am now saving money for the sony alhpa a100.
Hope you like the pics
P.S. is it maybe possible if you have time to also give suggestion on how to improove my pictures but compliments are also good!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Thanks for you comment on Busch watercolor. I wish I had PhotoShop. I used a picture editor that came with my Canon scanner. It can do some cool things, but it is limited.
you did GREAT with the clone tool! i wish i had the skill you do with it. i'm getting corel 12 hopefully soon and i'll be playing around with it a bit more. i'd be interested to hear how you made it so beautifully natural!
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are also available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/
