Thanks a lot for that nice comment about Pferdeschwemme Detail. I am happy, you like it, even I had to do so much manipulation about it - simply because it looked like the rainy day it was.
Sorry to all...I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to lately. I'm a 9 to 5er again (actually more like 8:15 to 7:30 these days!!) Don't worry, I still see all of your wonderful posts, if only for a second.

A nice, interesting photo. Nothing truly special though, it doesn't really evoke much emotion in me. I do however think you have an absolutely fabulous gallery, and am adding you as a friend to see all your new pictures.

Jon, thanks for your comments on my "Optical Illusion" photo. The early morning light really helped -- I don't think it would have been a very good shot otherwise. For more info about the Belmont Slough, here is a LINK. - Greg
Hi Jon, thanks for your comments on my recent photographs and also for observing how I blocked the sun on the balcony photograph and deliberately shot through the bars. You understand what I was trying to capture which seems to have not been noticed by a lot of people! thanks again - and yes I am being contemplative in my avatar - although I do look a bit cross-eyed! lol! which is what happens when you have to make an image so small!! :)

hi Jon! first of all thank you so so much for your compliment on my gallery! i really appreciate it..i will try to keep up the good work so you dont get disappointed. i do agree with you on my Russian Sage post, i was just trying to do something different with the dof. and i liked the colors so i thought i would upload it. thanks again, i am so glad you are enjoying my work! ~abby
G'day Jon,
Thanks for the nice response to Sunburst. I'm really looking forward to having a camera with a decent sensor and raw files so I can stop having to "de-noise" every photo with a dark cloud in it! :)
Peace,
Mikel.
Hey, Jon, thanks for your comment on my "a snake on the trail" photo. As a matter of fact, I didn't know for sure whether it was venomous or not, at the time I was trying to get it to pose for me. Sometimes I think carrying a camera around makes me stupid! -- Greg
Hello Jon. Thank you for your comments about “Patterson’s Curse”. Putting it in your favourites is probably the best vote of approval you could give it :-)
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on leaf on deck, your comments are greatly appreciated! The deck actually is that color (old pressure treated wood does that when it's been weathered). Aside from a small bit of post processing to boost saturation and shadows it's as seen through the lens.

Hey, Jon, thanks for your comments on my "Nevada scenery" photo. I was driving in the early morning and stopped for gas, and when I got out of my car, I beheld that mountain vista -- and for a moment, I wondered if I'd mistakenly detoured into Colorado! -- Greg

Thanks so much Jon for your comment on "Soft" I really appreciate it! and i completely agree with you about the focus, thats one thing that bothered me about it. thanks for the feedback! ~abby
Thanks for the comments on 'Myrtle Creek' very much appreciated. I'm usually up there a few times in July, maybe I'll see you...from a distance of course. The hike up to the mountain and back is bad enough.

Jon,
Looks like you sure had a ball going thru my gallery. Thankyou so much for your comments on many of my images. The ones you chose are my favorites. I drove a truck for 19 plus years and was sent to San Francisco many times to the Moscone Conv Center.
Want a good place to eat? Try the Sugar Bowl Bakery And Resturant, 480 Toland St, especially for breakfast. I hope it's still there because I want to return to it someday. I quit driving in 2004. See ya

Hi Jon...I like to take chances at times, and kind of work with things that people sometimes don't like, such as the power lines in my photo. I think these things can be made to work within a photo..And I liked the way the lines angled in comparison to the railroad tracks and also that the lines went right into the clouds...but thanx for the thoughts..verena
Do not wait; the time will never be "just right."Start where you are and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.

Good Morning Jon! I'd like to thank you for your recent comments on images in my gallery. I haven't been on caedes much lately due to the tornado damage in my area. Please forgive me for the generic message but know I appreciate your support and image contributions. Have a great day.

Thanx for the very kind comment on Tears. Glad you like it.
It is a detail of a photo of a sticker on a glass window that i photographed. I reworked the photo in photoshop.
Thanks for your comment on Arches National Park Jon! It is just the standard lens that comes on a nikon d40... so a NIKKOR 18-55mm lens...nothing special. so glad you enjoyed it so much!

Hi Jon, thanks for commenting on "Snowdon Summit". Snowdon is the highest mountain in North Wales in Snowdonia. It's really beautiful, worth going to if the weather permits! :) Linda
Thanks for stopping by and enjoying the Field of Wheat. The C-index baffles me sometimes. I have some average pictures with higher scores than this one, which I was pleased with. The comments that people leave are far more useful than the c-index. Thanks for looking! Much appreciated!!
Thanks for the comment on "A Silent Passing" I understand and can heartily agree with your comment regarding the point of view. Unfortunately this particular area only has a single path and I don't have a DSLR that allows for any wider an angle.
