While waiting for the render I am posting after this one, I played around with my Parum Universitas image. Cropped it in and tweaked the colors a good bit. I really liked the outcome, so I thought I would share. Enjoy. Ty.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

Hi, DJ, thanks for the comment on Phantom on Cat 4. If your Dad was on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation off Vietnam in the spring of 1972, there is a possibility it might be the same plane as his picture, or at least the same squadron.

Thank you for your comments on "Moonset - Sunrise" I'm pleased you like it.

The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hi DJ. I just saw your comment about my "Waters' End" photo, and I'm glad a fellow New Orleanean likes my Louisiana works. People from other places aren't surrounded by this stuff all the time, so they're easier to please, but to hear that a local likes my stuff feels good. Not only that, but it looks like you've been around Caedes a lot longer than I have, so you've seen a lot more. I just got into this stuff last May, so I'm quite a novice. Since I live here, but work in Baton Rouge most of my photos come from things I see during my commute.

Thanks for the comment on my "Frost doodle". :) I sure agree with you. My photography is all about that. Nature is the artist, I'm just conveying it's creations to others through the only means I can master at least partly... ^_^ I'm afraid you'll have to dig deeper among my old pieces in my gallery here if you want to see more from me. I don't have much time atm set aside to making new pieces. I'd like to be sure I'm not the target of some "campaign" either...

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Good morning Dj
Thank you for your enjoyment and encouragement on "Fence post with growth". The old fence had aged with character, but I was more struck and intrigued by this small section; something built to restrict and restrain life had in itself become a home to other life - there has to be a lesson in that somewhere :)
Enjoy your day

Hi DJ. Well you see how I'm spending my Jazz Fest Weekend? Taking photos around town. The "Alien Octopus" shot was at the entrance to Audubon Park as are so many of my shots. Thanks for the comment, and I hope you can avoid the crowds this weekend.

Thanks DJ for your comment on "...to the highest bidder." I didn't think that image would get such a wide ranging response. Most of it has been supportive though.
