The Consuls are members of the Caedes.net Senate. Members of the Consul Assembly are responsible for the creation and enforcement of Law (see Code of Conduct).

A Consul is usually elected from the Praetor Assembly although this is not a requirement. This is the highest office that a caedes.net citizen can aspire to acheive. The only person with veto power over Consul decisions is the Praetor Maximus.
