I present to you, not the Easter Bunny but our own Jimbobedsel as the next artist to have his varied gallery showcased.

Take a minute to read his biography below and visit his images!

When I got the info about being selected to have my gallery showcased, I was shocked, and thought maybe it was sent to the wrong person by mistake. I guess it wasn't a mistake, and I am really honored. I will give a little information about myself, but not enough to make you fall asleep.

I am 60 years old, divorced, and in May of 2009, I retired from the Whirlpool Corp. in Clyde Ohio, after spending 40 years employed there. I have lived in Fremont, Ohio all my life. Fremont is most famous for being the home of Rutherford B. Hayes, the 19th President of the United States. I have one daughter, Carrie, 28, who lives in Fremont, also.

I found the Caedes website while looking for abstract wallpapers for the desktop, back in August of 2007. I started creating a folder for all the images I wanted to use, and then discovered that there were photographs, also. So, I downloaded a lot of them too, and when I saw that I could even put pictures on the site, I signed up, and uploaded what might be the worst picture ever on Caedes. I deleted it a long time ago. It was actually taken with a 1mp HP camera that my daughter, Carrie, gave me. It was also my first digital camera. Soon after that, I bought a new Canon 3S IS, 6mp camera, which I thought was a top of the line camera, until I saw the pictures of other photographers on Caedes. That's when I really started getting interested in learning all I could about how to create images that were appealing, and worthy to be on Caedes. There are many members here that inspired me right off the bat, including Owd Bob, (Dunstickin), Sandi, (Tigger3), Cindy, (Cynlee), PJ ,( Phasmid), Cornelius, (Corngrowth), and many others. Tick, (0930_23), and John, (Casechaser) were my first friends, and all three of us joined Caedes within a day of each other. We are still good friends, and together, have all grown in our photography and artwork. I might also mention, that since it was abstracts I was looking for in the beginning, I was very impressed with the work of Joanie, (Joanie) and also John, (jswgpb). I love the fractals that they do.

I have been using a Canon EOS 40D for two years now. Almost exclusively, I use a Canon 28-135mm IS lens. I also have a Sigma 70-300mm lens, but to tell the truth, I have not learned to use it to where I get as good an image as I want. I DO use it once in a while though. I also use PhotoShop Elements 6, and other editing software to do my post work. I like to make people laugh, so every once in a while I will do an off beat manipulation, and that is how I came up with my favorite image that I have posted. It is called.."If Cats Could Talk," and is in the early part of my gallery. I used my dog, Mickey, in the shot. If you feel like chuckling a little, check it out. And since I like to make people laugh, or at least try, you may get a comment on a picture from me, that is in a language that comes out when I am in my redneck mood, inspired by radio editorialists, Billy Ray Vulgar and Earl Pitts. LOL.

In my opinion, Caedes.net is the best site on the internet. I thoroughly enjoy the friendships I have made, looking at all the great photos and images, commenting on many of them, and learning something new. Anything that I have learned about photography, is directly attributed to the people of Caedes. I am addicted to the site, and have no intention of seeking help for my addiction. LOL.

Thank you so much for this honor, Caedes family. I truly appreciate it.

Jim, (Jimbobedsel)
