me again. thanks for your comment on 'Vienna by night - Town Hall'. Living and been born in Vienna means you don't see all the beauties you see every day. Taking photos and hunting for good views is like being in a foreign city exploring unknown territory :o)

Hi Catharina, Thankyou for your very kind comments about Arrow! Arrow! I'm pleased you enjoyed it. My camera is a digital compact believe it or not! But in my opinion the best on the market - the Nikon Coolpix 4500. The [permanently attached] lens is a Nikkor which is an 8 - 32mm zoom equivalent. The macro capability is amazing; you can get as close as 1cm from the subject [if it will let you;o)] The only time it lets you down is if you want a close up of a subject you can't stalk, such as a dragonfly 3m out over a pond!

Hi Catharina. I appreciate your comment on "Blooming Winter 2". I'm glad you liked it. I selected everything except the flower and stem then inverted my selection. Then I copied the selection. I made a new layer and filled it with black. Then I pasted my copied selection . After this I cleaned it up a bit with the smudge and blur tools.

A pleasure garden is a private park where those people could walk for hours, resting on marble benches, enjoying fountains etc. In german we call them 'Lustgarten', maybe you understand that better :o))
