thank you, alain, for the kind words about my photos. most of them were not taken in phoenix. this latest batch was taken in oak creek canyon (sedona) about 2 hours away. arizona does have scenic areas which go from high mountains to low desert.........colors ranging from green to brown and magnificent skies.

Hi Alain. Thanks for coming by to see squirrel youngster. I appreciate the time you've taken to view and comment. I think the little guy found mom and is just fine. There are lots of them that live around my home and they get away from Mai Tai with a lot of speed ;) Thanks again for coming by. Anita
I'm way behind so forgive me for not commening on your individual posts but know that I've looked at all of them since I left. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill
Hello Alian.....Many thanks for taking the time to have a look at (HIGHLANDS) and for your comments, it is very much appreciated...Scotland is indeed a beautiful country....I go there for my holidays every year....Thanks again...All the best...Mick.
Kia Ora Alain, I appreciate your comment on Pretty Paeony, thank you.
I experimented with several different borders, a dark one was too heavy for such a delicate flower, and it did not seem to be right without one. Illustrating this is my Pink Profusion which I thought was quite a good shot, but it overwhelmed the screen. Maybe that is why it scored so poorly in the voting booth.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

good morning alain. thank you for commenting on eagle in a tree. i guess i should post the original. it was a cloudy overcast day in alaska. i was not too close so used my 70-300 mm lens. the image you see is a cropped version of the original in which the eagle is considerably smaller. the colors up there are very deep. it was taken in june which might account for the lighter green on the tips of the pines. does this info help?
Please forgive me for not replying to every one of your lovely image and comments probleme with me is my poor english my language in french Rene de Rouyn-noranda
Thanks Alain, for your comments on Autumn at Hamsterly Waterfalls,I think your right it could have being warmed up a touch with a bit more sats. Thanks Brian..
Hi Alain, thanks for your comments on my photograph 'anticipation' - and it was taken early evening and quite dark - but I can see all the detail ...I expect it depends on what settings you have on your pc screen. thanks for your comments - appreciated as always. :) Patti

Hi Alain, thank you for your comments and about the Urbis - if you look in my gallery you will find quite a few photographs of it. They were, however, taken with my little digicam before I got a decent camera so not as good as my recent photos. It really is an amazing building. Patti

Thank you Alain for commenting on Florentine Freedom, wich is much appreciated.
I do not find the situation of the statue odd, as it is where it was originally placed, before the Town Hall of Florence, representing Freedom of the people, where it can be seen by all. I did not see the museum contained original but from pictures I have seen I prefer the 'amongst the people' place rather than in isolation behind barriers.
Thanks for your nice comment on "Fading"...
You were asking if I have another works like that in b/w...if was that, no, this was my first one :D
But i can send you that one in b/w
Say something if you want ;D
Hi Alain, thanks for visiting my Brimstone & Treacle. Your great comments please me no end:O) I didn't know this species occured in the States - very interesting. I believe the colours also vary between broods.
Cheers,
Steve.

"Praise the light of late November,
the thin sunlight that goes deep in the bones.
Praise the crows chattering in the oak trees;
though they are clothed in night, they do not
despair. Praise what little there's left:
the small boats of milkweed pods, husks, hulls,
shells, the architecture of trees. Praise the meadow
of dried weeds: yarrow, goldenrod, chicory,
the remains of summer. Praise the blue sky
that hasn't cracked yet. Praise the sun slipping down
behind the beechnuts, praise the quilt of leaves
that covers the grass: Scarlet Oak, Sweet Gum,
Sugar Maple. Though darkness gathers, praise our crazy
fallen world; it's all we have, and it's never enough."

Thank you for your heartwarming words of friendship and positive reinforcement of my efforts at "November impressions III", Alain. I am looking forward to your next visit.
Hi Alain, thank you for your comments on my photos and about the Church - well I took a few photographs, so tomorrow I will post one of them as you are interested in it. I was standing there thinking I wish the sun would come out - I had taken a couple photographs of the church and they were dark, then suddenly I got that glow from the low sun - I was so happy I took several pictures of the church and they turned out great! ..and I was lucky the sun stayed out then for most of my walk! thanks again for your comments. Hi Alain, glad you liked down by the river, thanks for your comments! I am sure the Seine is far more beautiful than the river wensum!! I have only been to Paris once and I loved it!
Hi Alain, don't be jealous of where I live - I am sure you have some lovely countryside to admire not close from your home. I live in a built up area but can easily reach the countryside within 30 mins, so in that way I am lucky, but I would prefer to actually live in the countryside myself - maybe someday. :) thank you for all your comments Alain, I appreciate all of them but do not always have time to thank you. Hello again Alain, thanks for the kind thoughts you left on my "Looking Out" images. Taking them was quite confronting to my fear of heights so I'm really glad you enjoyed them:) Cheers, Kelcey.
Hey Alain! Thanks for finding and leaving such good comments at "Tucson snow (almost)" - and for adding it to your favorites! Usually in full light the mountains look kinda 'flat' but this pic shows how complex they really are. Thanks again!
Hi Alain, thanks for your incredibly thoughtful and informative comment on my statue pic. With regards to the patina, the statue is in the botanical gardens and is extremely exposed to the elements so I don't think it ever had much of a chance. I especially appreciate your note on my spelling, it's something I'm shocking at and it won't be my last mistake:) Cheers, Kelcey.
Hey Alain, my friend......your lovely words on a brown hairstreak ''at lunch time” overwhelms me with pride!... I was surprised to discover so many insects feasting on thistle flowers… What a great opportunity to take a good shot. You have to beware of busy bees though. Thank you for your visit.

I can't say how much I appreciate you poppin' in to check out my first winter upload. To tell you the truth the photo was taken in March last year, when I enjoyed piles of snow in Beskid Mountains. This year there will be no snow I am afraid. But once I turn on my computer I can feel like in winter, lol.
Hi Alain, this is a late thankyou for comments left at my most recent postings...I have been having computer problems this past week...hopefully it is rectified...gerry
Hi Alain, thanks for your comments on Twilight - yes I think you are right that the clouds make the photograph. This is a photo I have had for a while and I cropped a lot of the water and sky from the photograph to highlight the pink clouds - I now see that the sky is a bit grainy, so need to work on that a bit more, but overall I think it is quite good. thanks for your comments - I appreciate your artistic eye! Patti

Thank you for viewing and commenting on Ready for Take off. You are quite right, it is almost impossible to get a butterfly still enough to photograph well. I took hundreds of pictures all summer just to get a few good ones! I am glad you enjoyed it! Diane
Hi Alain, I am glad you liked the softness of 'morning is broken'! I wish I had not sharpened it quite so much - it looks even better with the softer tones! thank you again or your support! Patti
