"Once you have heard the lark, known the swish of feet through hill-top grass and smelt the earth made ready for the seed, you are never again going to be fully happy about the cities and towns that man carries like a crippling weight upon his back."

Sam;
Thanks for visiting my Garden of the Gods image. You never know. Darth Vader might be behind that center monolith. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks Sam! I'm glad that you liked my On Golden Pond image idea. Thanks for voting and commenting on my work. This is a combination of several photo elements with a ripple effect added in photoshop. It's a normal sunset photo turned upside down and distorted to look like water.

The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken.

Hello Sam: It's nice to hear from you. I'm really pleased that you liked "All Backed Up". It was a fun picture to take. I had to wait an hour for all of the players to assemble. Just after I took the shot a dog chasing a Frisbee jumped in the water and the turtles all disappeared. I didn't know they could move that fast, but I guess given the right incentive they can. Thanks again.
"This existence of ours is as transient as Autumn clouds. To watch the birth and death of beings is like looking at the movements of a dance. A lifetime is a flash of lightning in the sky. Rushing by, like a torrent down a steep mountain. "

Thank you San for the kind words and Favorites plus 10s on "At the Giants Feet". How dumb of me to tell everyone the nearest town but not the state. It is Oregon. It is just about dead center. The place is named the "Painted Hills". It is part of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. Thanks again for you kind comments.
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.
