Youre 3 correct guesses were also correct in BJ's list; The 3 that you have correct were all also correct in your last list - that should help I think.

Maybe it would help if you made a list of those images that you are sure of here? I won't be able to confirm it obviously, but others might be able to help work out the rest?

Lost everyone wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back it appears. I don't blame them. If I hadn't been temporarily disabled there is no way I could have spent the time on this that I have to date. I have to admit that last guess was a "wing it" attempt for another clue. I put the stack of notes, pics, numbers, etc. aside and threw caution to the wind.

Ms. Dreamer, you have my ultimate respect, it's your turn g/f. I shall wait with bells on even if they are ringing non-stop in my overworked brain!! Thank you for swearing for me. I feel much better now! lol

Yeah, well, evidently math and charts aren't working for me either. 5 in that list, 9 there, 7 all match, 9 but, 1 new right and 1 right now wrong. As I said in the begining, there can only be a few thousand combinations!!! Havn't even looked at the pictures the last few posts.

Just wanted to let you ladies know that I am following the guessing with interest, only not commenting because I wouldn't want to give anything away. But I'm not so worried about that at this point because it doesn't deem like giving anything away would even help much, and Pim seems to be doing ok posting here without letting the cat out of the bag :). I do continue to wish you both luck in this and I wish you had some help. Seems like you're getting pretty close now though. Hope you solve it soon! Maybe we should think about some sort of hint that DOESN'T involve math? ;)

Hehe. :) I've been following your guesses here pretty closely. It's pretty much the no.1 thing I do at caedes now. (I don't have time for much more Im afraid...) I second Josh and Matthew on why I don't post here. Sam was pretty clear that we should not comment but I guess it doesn't matter if it's only general stuff and best wishes. :)

No Pim, you havn't given anything but encouragement, we figured that even the participants had long ago been bored watching BJ and I analyze this thing. One of us WILL wrap this thing up any day now (unless there's someone else out there quietly watching, waiting to jump in, now's the time.) Then we can start discussing some of these wonderful, odd or maddening images.

I don't think Dreamer or I either one expected the artist's themselves to post. The extra encouragement with no clues that Pim has given throughout has made us feel a bit less like we're in this alone though and for that I'm grateful. Let's not make him feel badly for that. I think we are speaking more of the silence of others. Had more participated, the faster this could have gone I'm sure. I'm fully with Dreamer on her last sentence and hope all of you will participate once we can share our maddening investigating with you. I have a few things I can't wait to say! lol

Ok, here goes...I promise not to give a single clue as to which image is mine, but I want BJ & dreamer to know that I am their # 1 cheerleader (complete with pom-poms) lol....I think that when all the guessing is done, the prize money should be divided equally for their true dedication & all the effort they have put forth into this round. As for everyone else, I don't mind if you comment, but make sure you don't give anything away! I know personally there is nothing more dissapointing than working for ages on a puzzle, only to have someone give it away just when you are getting close...

I surely don't envy the task of sorting out the 6 million-some possible combinations here. I think Sam's math has made it a bit easier than it would have been just saying 'no' to each guess, but certainly a long way from easy :). My good luck wishes continue...

Hmmm... I'm almost afraid to say this... BJ, you still have 9 correct. What you may not have realised is that even though you had nine correct matches, there were actually ten that matched, so one of them was incorrect. Sorry to make things difficult. Anyway, let's see if I can make things easier; You have moved one correct placement into an incorrect position. If you swap it with the name you have replaced it, you will have two names in the correct place. Obviously you have also moved one you had incorrect into the right place too. If you can just figure out which two to swap, you will only be two images away from the solution. I hope this gives you some encouragement! I know this must be real tough if you don't have the answers right in fromt of you... :-)

Sam, as you may have read in above post, I have always had one more match than what you said the correct number was since about the second post. Oh well, Dreamer is still with us. Maybe she will hit paydirt with her next turn. ;) You should see all that I DO have in front of me!

I just wanted to throw in my own mathematical observation based on what Sam just said (not saying anything having to do with knowing which image is mine). Since there are 10 correct in that list that means there are 3 incorrect. That means no two names can be swapped (because then the third one that was wrong would have nowhere else to go). So on your next guess be sure not to swap any pair of names from this last guess. Hope that makes sense to the guessers.

I wish Mimi were here to type everything I want to say for me. I just know she could take every one of my thoughts and put them into the most entertaining read! There are many and there's so much to say to all the artists. This has been sooooooo mind boggling! I think early on MP had us stuck. So, the other night I trashed EVERYTHING (much to the happiness of my kitchen table and family), made all new lists, and went through each sentence of this page. By the morning I had a list that for the first time ever, every bit of the math worked on every single post. I wanted to wait for Dreamer but then saw Anthony come online. I rushed here. lol I thought he had it figured out. Scared me good!! Turns out he was just here to add support and math help. Thank you Anthony! I hope if there's another contest you will in fact jump in there!

I know she dug as deep and there isn't one square inch of your works we haven't seen at least once if not a dozen times. I even investigated all the oceans to find that color of teal!! Geeeeze. Ahhhhhhhhhh...finally the silence can be broken! I have been so afraid breaking that vow of silence I took when I entered this contest!! I am so pleased to have been in the company of such great artists as Darryl,mum,Joost, Josh,Pim and all the others who I cannot remember without looking back again (aging is not for the weak of heart!! lol). It was a privelege & and an honor to have dreamer & BJ work so hard & do all the research they did to grant ALL of us our RIGHTFUL place on the list of guesstheartist Round 2. I doubt that I would have had the dedication that both of them used to acknowledge our works!! I tip my hat & salute both of them for hanging with us while we did everything we could to "stump the guessers"! BJ...excellent job girlfriend. I was beginning to think I would never hear Sam say "We have a winner"! dreamer, what can I say except you were soooooo close & I appreciate all the work you did! This definitely became a project & toward the end, a very closely watched project by the Caedes.net community!

Before this thing even began I took a look at the images from the first contest, That one seemed to be about how well everyone knew the work of the other regular contributors to this community. I've only been here for three or four months, but I've seen probably 80 per cent of the images stored in this archive and every new post since I first logged on. I can see the work of my favorite artists as soon as the pages begin to open. I think when this set came up The hide and seek began. I know I've looked and sounded a little strange to friends and co-workers this last week, carrying around an expanding notebook and mumbleing "Torque, no Speedy no,no found him in post five."If BJ and I had not kept PMing each other and saying "breathe, let the stress out, we're almost there" I don't know if I would have stuck it out. I'd really like to thank all of you for comming in at the end here and boosting us on. and Bj, you took that last three and dropped them precisely where they belonged. I'm getting some sleep tonight! Well, I'm glad you guys seem to enjoy it, that was the whole point so as long as everyone had fun... i believe there is another official contest coming up shortly ("mum's the word" as a famous person once said...) so we might wait until after that is over before we think about round three.
