Thanks for stopping by my gallery. Most of the butterfly pictures were shot at Rieman Gardens at Iowa State University. They have a permanent butterfly house there and 14 acres of flowers and a pond outside. The butterfly house is open all year and the outside stuff from spring till bad weather. If you go on a weekday crowds are not a problem. There are times I have been the only one in with butterflies. I have over 10,000 pictures in my library with over 900 butterfly pictures so you will see more. Feel free to check out my web site listed in my profile. There you will find around 800 pictures of stuff around Iowa.

That was my daily view on my 60-mile commute to work between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I'm a bit sad that I won't be seeing it anymore as I recently left that job for one closer to home. I'm glad you liked my "Impressions In Oak" photo. It's kind of my goal in photography to preserve this stuff I see around me each day - an Old South going by the wayside abandoned in the face of chaotic progress. Thanks for your comments on We Are So Blue. I saw your eggs, they are interesting. I have numerous bird boxes at my home and each year 2/3s of them have nests with some type of bird. I have never opened a box to see the eggs. I only hear the little ones. Since I took the picture, I have not seen 2 bluebirds even close together.
