Hi there! Thank you so much for the great comment you left for 'Winter Day Walk', I truly appreciate it and will be passing it along to Laura...I know she will be so pleased by your words!
Thanks again!
Cindy
Thanks for commenting on "Raindrop caught in action" -- Yes, I actually did set the camera to B&W. Usually I think that's pointless, but I've been experimenting lately and I've found that it actually does affect the pictures I take. It's interesting to free yourself from colors, especially on a day when there are so few to begin with.
(The other secret is that it was pretty low light, and I wanted to shoot at very high sensitivity of ISO 800, which is very noisy on my camera. That noise looks quite nice in B&W, not so nice in color, so that may have influenced my decision somewhat ;-)
I love your insights into this photo. Things I hadn't even thought about, or maybe I did, but it was subconscious. And thanks for the wonderful excuse for the drop being out of focus :) I do agree though, it adds to the image that way; the focus isn't on the drop, it's on the scene, which is pretty much generally rainy and gray.
Thanks again for your uncommonly thoughtful comment.
Once again many thanks for giving such comprehensive comment on 'absent lovers' LOL
I had to send a PM to Jerry to ask him to take a look at the appreciation of his sense of humour LOL
Thanks so much, me owd mate, for your kind appreciation of 'more mishaps' !!!
It is not very nice to laugh at the misfortune of others but in this case you are welcome to have a good time watching the bird and imagining myself retreating very hastily together with my big silly dog LOL
Also, dear friend, many thanks for viewing 'azalea fot Terri' !
Please let us all know your name ...!!!!! I feel awkward calling you my friend all the time LOL
Thank you very much for taking time to comment on Old Westbury Gardens.
I visited the place this year again, and took some pictures of the same spot .
Believe me, nothing has changed. I wouldn't even see a difference between the new ones and those from 2004. Old Westbury is still gorgeous.
