Nik: Thank you for your comments on "Bridge With A View". Greatly appreciated and a great encouragement. I've only just returned to Caedes after a 15-year absence. I've been reviewing the galleries and seem to consistently to be drawn to your posts. Your skill and knowledge as a photographer is evident. Please always feel free to critique and make recommendations, my friend. Chris
Nik, Your comment on the simple photo in Naxos . . . "Simplicity is often a breath of fresh air and allows our brains to reset and become comfortable again." Not certain if I had mentioned this in previous comments, do you write books? Well, you really should. Thank you very much for your kind words and enlightenment.
Thank you for the "Watercolour" favourite. I'd love to see your swan painting, I was thinking of painting when I took the picture. I've tried painting the vibrant patterns in water, and have a long ways to go, and I don't find acrylic very blend-friendly.
Thank for the fave of 'Hellebore...'. The flower does have the 'Little Shop of Horrors' look. Some of the other varieties have flowers that are more opened, with odd looking parts.
Nik, I very much appreciate your comments and the meaning of books in your life ... I so much feel the same way ... I do wish you were around the corner ...
Thank you for the fave of 'Frosties' and for the kind words. Amazingly, these blooms still refuse to quit - the bright color of summer among the falling leaves of autumn.
Hey man I appreciate your comment on my new bridge photo. If I had expected it to come out so good I'd have found a way to hold the phone a bit steadier to get it a bit sharper. I give most of the credit to Night Mode on my phone.
Nik thanks for commenting on Dream ... WOW, you were in the publishing business???? That is absolutely thrilling ... since I am an avid book lover, with varied interests, I truly wish you were around the corner...will you be writing a book on the art world or the world of publishing maybe?
Nik, appreciate your comment on Meteora ... when you have made plans to see Meteora, we would love to be your guide to this area. It is quite remarkable, and I am certain your photos will be outstanding!!!
Nope... this one. If you zoom in to his face, the only part of him above the surface of the water, you might see the real-life resemblance to your V8 Turbo.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Hi Nik, thanks for your concern re the quakes. The scare is over - they were big shakes but at the other end of the country from us. Those in danger of tsunamis acted very quickly. We have a slogan here "If its long and strong - get gone!" and that was acted upon very quickly and very efficiently. There were a few tide surges but nothing major and the warning is now lifted. It was still quite scary though and not a day for beach walking ! Hope you and yours are all well. Lyn
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Thanks for the comments on my Heron pictures. Its like they say location, location, location. The place I shoot Herons, Pelicans and other fishing birds is up on the bank below Saylorville Dam. Im probably at least 20 feet above the water so Im above the birds fishing and flying close to the water. A lot of the birds flying by are at eye level and gives the pictures a different perspective.
I'm glad you like my picture Got Fish. I purchased a used Sigma 150-600mm Sport last fall and really hadn't had a chance to use it. So far I'm pretty happy with the image quality on both full frame and crop bodies. Bob
Thanks Nik for your comments on Light and Shadow... truly appreciate your observations, especially coming from someone with incredible photography skills.
Nikoneer... Thank you for your comment on my picture called New Garden. You came up with the same idea I have. I already have the rocks to do exactly what you said. I'm also naming the boat "On the Rocks". I'm also adding fish net to the side of the boat. I bought two life size seagulls and a pelican that will be sitting on pilings. I will be posting other pictures of each additional garden as I create them. I'm working on a design of a rock island that will have a lighthouse with a working light.

Nik, you are aware I am a big fan of your artistic skills, so of course, I so much appreciate your positive comments on Tree in River and Just a bit of heaven...I know that viewing and commenting takes time, but it means a lot when we can get feedback that is positive and also that provides advice for improvement.
Hi Nik! Thank you very much for your fave on my 3 photos. Glad you like them. I'm well and after I retired at January 2017, since one year I keep cycling and taking photos. Have nice days.
Gosh, Nik, your comments on View of a Window have simply blown me away...what a wonderful experience to hear such kind words from someone with enormous talent... truly appreciate it!
Nik, I would like to thank you very much for selecting some of my photos as "favorite". That you took the time to view and comment means a lot to me, especially coming from a member of Caedes that I admire greatly.
Nik, thanks so very much for making "Simple" a favorite, wow, you really made my day! Gosh, Caedes has been so instrumental in my appreciation of photography, it has helped in being able to use my creative instinct, which leads to happiness.
Hi Nik, Gosh your comments upon viewing Mother and Child have blown me away. I appreciate your words and observations very much. I imagine the art world would be greatly improved if you wrote a book about photography!
Thanks Nick for faving "Peace To All". I appreciate it. I'm glad my style of art appeals to your grandaughters. All my grandchildren are pretty much grown but I still have memories of the childish things I used to do with them like watch cartoons and draw pictures for them. I still remember doing that with my children as well.

In answer to your recent question: The bridge support cables are hollow rolled metal and were found to be corroding internally several years ago. They now blast warm dry air through them to preserve them from rusting and the trolley cars you see are part of the inspection and maintenance programme. Hey I pleased to have got that of my chest. Nik: Thank You for your comments and link in my Pic called Kidney Stone. I actually took many photos of a antler tower in Colorado, the base Pic for my art. Your comments are appreciated.
Wow - you see things in my photos that I didn't even think about when shooting. I appreciate your support, your thoughtful comments and your adding "Rainbow Windows" to your faves, Nik.

Hi Nik thanks for calling round @ Clifton Suspension Bridge after nightfall, I was reluctant to take those series of night shots but it was a special occasion.
Thanks for your vote of encouragement with "Gondola Maker." You should have seen the original, pre-post processing. Nevertheless, I agree that it fits the contest topic and I appreciate you adding the photo to your faves, Nik.

Nik - Thanks so much for the fave of 'Kitties'. These animals were on the prowl. They had been brought back from their area, with a staff member putting meat chunks around the caged area, and moving objects they play with. Apparently, the moved objects are a source of agitation, and the jaguars move them back to their preferred spots, and move about getting their food. With this, they were quite animated. At 2000 psi, I wouldn't want their jaws anywhere near me, though.

Thanks Nik for the kind comments and fave on "Stillness At Dawn." I know that's the kind of place you and your wife enjoy. Come on over and bring your kayaks (or we could rent some Italian kayaks here...mamma mia). It's a short trip from my place. Ciao.
