my best friend in high school and I use to draw a cartoon during Chemistry class and the main characters were ThunderChicken and FlashTwinkie. : ) Your name brought back some hilarious memories. : )
Hi Katie, thanks for your continued support! On "Field of Dream" the only thing I did was apply the "difference clouds" filter in Photoshop Elements. I love this filter - it is one of my favorites!
Thanks for the comment on "Earth, Moon, Sun, and Stars".. though you're right about the repetative pattern on the Earth, but I really couldn't find anything better for it.. I'll see if I can fix that another time. Keep up all the good work!!
Thanks for all your comments on my works today. In answer to your question, yes, the eye is from LOTR. If you recognized it I guess that means it works huh? :-)
Thanks for all your supportive comments, very helpful to someone with all the expectied insecurities of any newbie at the computer arts game. :) I'm so glad you liked Run for Your Life...it's one of my favorites. =)
Thanks for the kind words on Rainbow's End, Katie. I guess I do have a tendency to create fantasy images, don't I? Hehehe...probably a result of being one of the many unpublished SFF writers. :D
Thank you for all your support and encouragement on my artwork, Katie. In answer to your question, I've only completed one novel (now in the process of a major revision, after which it will become a trilogy) and a couple of short stories. None have been published, but at least you get the rejection slips in a timely fashion from the magazines. It can take up to 24 months for a novel manuscript to get to the top of a publisher's "slush pile" and be read by an editor. Then, if it's rejected (and you're lucky), they'll explain why they didn't buy it and you can begin trying to fix it. Long, drawn-out process but the writing is fun. :D
Hi Katie, thanx for commenting on 'sabertooth' much appreciated, u asked how i did these pics....they are mainly cut & paste jobs just a lot of use with the magic eraser, few light levels of blurring & er .. i cant remeber that much after that, dont think i did that much....anyjoo, thanx again : )
Glad you're enjoying Red Desert as a desktop. You might check out a couple of other manipulations, too, especially Mystical and Storm Clouds Over Taos.
Thanks for the comment on Lanzarote, this island is situaded in the Atlantic Ocean, near the continent of Africa on the westside. It is only 50 miles away from the moroccan coast, it has a soft and nice climate in the winter. If you want to know more see :

Thanks for the nice comment on "Reverse Engineered [Blue Steel Ed.]". It's a quite heavy edit of a shot I got from Avi and he said it was a part of a helicopter engine.

TC: Thanks for your comments on "Ozymandias". That poem is one of my personal faves. As you seemed to like it I have copied the whole thing below for you. Cheers, Sam.
I met a traveler from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read,
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed,
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
Hey,
Just wanted to say I like the name. I have a Ford Thunderbird and Thunderchicken is what all my friends call it. So when I saw your name i had to laugh. Good name.
yep - My icon is an Apple iris in a Panther's eye - used Apple's for longer than I care to remember. Tried other platforms and, with the exception of SG, nothing else has come close.
Thank you for the comment on "Feather Water". Funny that you ask that...I found it with the water on it but had to move it carefully from land to water. I did spill some though which made it a little less interesting:-)
Thanks for your comment on Acrobatic Abstract. As far as the program goes, it's freeware but it is awful. Shuts me down on a regular basis. I would not recommend it to anyone to use.
