Hi Denis !! Let me be the first to welcome you to Caedes !! I hope you enjoy your time here & I'm looking forward to seeing more of your artwork.

Nope, the primary program I use is Apophysis. Go to apophysis.org & download, it's freeware so it won't cost you a penny. Satin Pillow was made in MBF Lite & that too was a free download. Then there's TieraZon, that'a a common program used too, though I find both of those other programs unwieldly & difficult. I guess I just haven"t worked enough in them. On Art Class & Lady Sings The Blues I then went into PhotoShop & cleaned up the graininess by clicking "noise" & then "despeckle". It gives some images thar metallic shine that I like. Phoenix was done in Apophysis & cleaned up in PS. If you go to the duscussion board & sift through everything, you will eventually find a list of recommended software. You can also ask for help from other members, everyone is willing to help. If you download Apophysis, personnal message me (PM) & I'll give you the rendering settings that Jacqueline kindly gave me .
As for PS, I haven't played with it enough to make images tho' other, more talented people here have.
Good luck !!
Lauren
What are the settings you're using when you render an image ? Use these....size-----1600 x 1200....quality-----2000...radius-----0.4 ....oversample----1. I got those from Jacqueline & I keep 'em written down in a notebook by my computer. As for why your images aren't renderin jpg format ??? I'll have to think.. Where do you have Apophysis ?? It's on my C drive under program files.....& I don't have this problem. Let me ask around.
Are you exporting flame or exporting upr when you render ( make an image ) ? Use export flame, that's where you'll make your size adjustments & your rendering settings. If you use export flame it should automatically make your image a jpg.
Lauren
Cheerzzzzz to you too !!! Glad you see how easy it can be, just time comsuming, to render. You can also use a program like " infraview " to change a picture's format. Jacqueline does all her renderings in PNG format & then she converts to JPG. So have fun !!!!

When I said: Great idea, I meant the interesting angle of your shooting the sundial to gather the architecture, if this is so important LOL Take care and keep up your nice work.
Hello Denis..nice to meet you ! I´m very thankful that you let me know about your feelings and your experiences from mushroom-picking after seeing my image Wood Harvest ! Thank you ! It is great to walk around in a deep forest looking for these "eatable gold" - chanterelles are my favourites, but I recognize about ten other kinds that I like and I think I know which ones could mean death and pain...lol. See my picture "Beautiful But Dangerous" and do not pick any of them if you happen to see them in a park in London..lol. Cheers ! -- Arne --
Hello again Denis. Thanks for taking a look at those dangerous but beautiful shrooms I mentioned above . I agree with you. Green moss makes a much more pleasant background than grass and needles. I´m glad you liked this image - I especially like the light.
Welcome back. -- Arne --

Your right.. the editing i did on saturated 2.0 was done in PS. It's complicated i guess.. but after using it for 2 years.. i know more now than i once did.. still a long way from being able to use it properly.
hey man thanks for the comment. Not quite sure what you said, but i'm sure it was a compliment lol. being older than God himself, i missed out on the texting age lol.
I am assuming you asked was it photo shop i used, which in that case, the answer is no. I used paint Shop and Fireworks. Both great products that seem to do the job for me. Thanks again for your comment.
