If you would like to use, show me your work, ask me a question, ask me to make something for you or anything just e-mail me at andrew011230@yahoo.com or send a personal message.
Hello Andrew, I just wanted to write something here. As you are relatively new here, consider this your welcome. You have a lot of creativity and vision in your images, but I think you may be limited by your programs. Thankfully we have a list of all the free ones available. I have just started checking a few of these out myself, and I love them! I recommend Terragen and Apophysis, and you may enjoy GIMP as well because it is somewhat similar to Paint. Also, your images would be more widely recieved if they were uploaded at a larger size. Do you have any program that can resize images? I would suggest making them larger. Keep uploading, your work is great! :-)
Thanks for commenting on The Paths of Darkness! I suppose I could have evened it out a bit more, but I kinda liked the effect of it sorta melting in from the upper right. Plus it left the whole left side of the screen black so you can see your desktop icons. But I really appeciate the tip. I'll make sure to spread it out more on my next one. Thanks again ;-)
Thanks for commenting on Fire Flower, i'm glad you liked it. To answer your question, I used Photoshop 7. It's not a fractal either, but it looks alot like one. If you wish to know how I made it, send me a personal message and I'll tell you. Welcome To Caedes!
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Andrew, I think you are misunderstanding the whole purpose of commenting. Comments should be posted to encourage the creator of the image, true, but also to help him or her create a better image next time. If you like an image, say so, but no comment is complete without the negative next time. Only if an image is absolutely perfect with no room for improvement should you skip that part, because that part is what helsp all of us become better artists. If it does happen to be perfect, which is a rare find indeed, then say that you think so and honor it as best you can. Never feel bad for saying what you don't like about an image, and never feel bad for simply letting the aithor know that it isn't perfect.
You had no need to apologize. I appreciate criticism just as much, if not more so, as compliments (hence the "Criticism wanted" on many of my images). I have been a lot harsher on your images, and had I know you felt thsi way, I would ahve apologized. As the viewer, it is my duty to help you develope your own eyes for what is original, what isn't; what is catchy, what isn't; what is interesting, what isn't; and finally what is art, and what isn't. I Appreciate you doing that for me.
I posted this on the image:
"That [the sun behind the mountain] was rather the intention of the image, but I am definately happy with a nine.
Perhaps if you don't feel too positivly about an image you see, you should rate it lower. I know it is hard, but keep in mind that 5 should be normal."
Thanks again, but remember this is an art community. Playing favorites is against the rules, and only the best images deserve a 9 or a 10. :-D
Thanks, Andrew, for your kind comments on "Blue Deco." It's C-index did come up from 35 (when James - MrXWild) wrote his comment. Maybe there's hope yet. Thanks again.
Yet again, thanks for the comment (this time on "Photogenic Duplicity"). I am glad you liked the fake flowers. You thought they were real when you clicked on the image? I spent 45 minutes photographing before it occured to me they were frauds. Just don't tell anyone. :-D I like the background too. That was my favorite framing of all the pictures I took on that embarrasing day. It has a cool and real effect with a slight angle on the grid. I may upload a few others, but this is the first I have yet and I have had them a few months, so you can see how excited about them I am.
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to comment on Midnight. I know now I should have posted larger, and next time I will. I'm glad that you liked my first posted image.
Thanks for the comment on "Negotiation 2", I appreciate your words. I uploaded "Amber Representation" earlier today. If you have a minute, I recommend it.
Yet another thanks for your repeated comments. I know I rather preached on this before, but I hope that when you give me a 10 that it is based on the image only. Your votes should be unbiased. Thanks again! :-)
Hi Andrew, and thanks for your kind words on "Togetherness...". There was a Husky at the puppy group we took these two to when they were little, but I don't know whether it was Siberian or not. A beautiful dog, though :-)
Hi, Andrew...thanks for your lauditory comments on "Cocoon!" You said you have to keep changing your desktop....There's a neat, relatively inexpensive software called "Wallpaper XE" that allows you to rotate many desktop wallpapers at whatever interval you choose, doing it automatically for you...(every five minutes, every day, etc.) You can load MANY of your favorites and then you don't have to keep changing them manually. I've got a different Wallpaper coming up on my screen every five minutes. <G>

Thanks again for your comments, Particularily "Choose Your Focus" this time around. Here is what I wrote on the image: "I took 49 pictures of flowers in that one , and 29 of them were of this purple variety. I particularily liked this one for several reasons, but if you appreciate a head-on perspective, I am glad; art has no boundaries, it is different for everybody. If you would like, I could post a few head-on pictures too. Thanks for the comments! :-)" Thanks again!
Thanks for the comment on "Audible Ice". You more than most tend to leave comments that make me want to reply: "I will see about bringing a camera to church with me next week as well. Perhaps I will upload the original of this as well. Keep in mind that if there wasn't an angle and a glare, the image would be a boring mass of depthless texture, but I will try to appeal further to the "Head-on" crowd as well. :-)"
Thanks for the comment on "Observing Wind 3". I am really glad that you liked it. I used a fog machine, a basic lighting can, and a few filters on the old computer. I sent it through Neat Image, Gimp, and Digital Image Pro, some of them several times. I have more similar pictures and can always take more. Do you have any suggestions on the content?
Yet more thanks for your continued comments. Are you sure you aren't giving me easy 10's? My work is nothing extrodinary...not that I don't appreciate the encouragement... :-D
Hehe, I got another one. :-) So you like images involving fog? Well, it is my church and I run the sound for this awesome youth group every Sunday (implying freetime before and after), so if you have any suggestions with use of fog, color of lights, or even perspectives, let me know. Thanks for all your comments!
You officially comment on way to many of my images now. I appreciate it, but be reasonable.
My quote from "Flame (negative)": " Believe it or not, the darkened lower 3/5ths is an upload glitch. I rather like it and so does Andrew, so I will leave it and give the inspiration and credit to the ever-disruptive j-peg gods. ;-)"
If you have a trampoline, please go jump on it now.
Thanks again, this time for the comment on "Don't Touch!". I had viewed it more as a noxious gas than a blue flame, but I guess both work. I am glad that you like my manipulations. :-)
Andrew, thanks for the comment on "Pink". It is good to get a 9 once in a while. :-) I do play piano a bit, but this isn't mine. We have a piano at my house and I have my own keyboard, but I am not sure that I could find a way to artisticly express either. Finding a way to photograph a guitar, now that could be a worthy challenge.
Hi Andrew, thanks for your comment on "Swirllyrical" glad you liked it. I'm sure if you stick at experimenting with apophysis you will come up with some amazing things, Cheers Al.
The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken.

Thanks for the comment on "Bask". I am not a huge flower fan either, but taking pictrues of ti can bea bit of a challenge. That was actually part of a tree, but I hope I blended it enough to look like it wa on the ground. :-D
Andrew, thanks for your thoughts on my latest image. It was not a normal Apophysis image for me, but I thought I should start off with soemthing weird. It is not really designed to be a background (yes, it is too dark), just an image. Thanks again!
Andrew, thanks for the comment on "Reality". The grain is intentional in this case. Consider it texture, and hence depth. If there was no noise, then the title wouldn't fit. :-)
My computer died a few days ago and is currently being unstable. I can occasionly come on here to comment and respond, but my uploading will be ceased for a while. Sorry.
Hi, Andrew. Read your note regarding the long editing process involved in making "The Hyperbolic Star." Yep....Apophysis editing is often a long and arduous process. It feels great when it pays off, but you might end up scrapping lots of possibilities before something you like begins to surface. I've been playing with Apophysis a lot lately. It does indeed take lots of time.

Hi Andrew .. thanks for your comment on Wild Flowers ... im very glad you liked it enough to give it a high score and into your favs... :D appreciate it....
"I wrote your name on a piece of paper but by accident I threw it away...
I wrote your name on my hand but it washed away...
I wrote your name in the
sand but the waves whisked it away....
I wrote your name in my heart and forever it will stay........."
Hi Andrew again... lol.. thanks this time for your comment on Static... im glad you liked it... it was made in Apophysis... did a lot of moving and tugging of triangles... took quite a while.. but it was worth it... :D

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Hi, Andrew....Thanks so much for your steadfast support of my work. Please don't feel you have to apologize if you aren't able to offer feedback immediately. I understand that people have lives apart from this place. <G> Thanks for your comments on "Lace!"

Hello Andrew, sorry for taking so long to upload a new image, I'm back in the "zone" again so i'll be uploading frequently. Thanks for your comment on Portrait Of Illusions, I was going for a nice soothing background on that one, glad you liked it!
Hey Andrew, thanks for your compliments on Masque. I created it in Ultra Fractal. It was actually pretty simple. I only had to use 2 layers to get this wonderful effect. The frame I did in Photoshop, but have a long way to go before I really come up with something good in that program. Have a great week:)
Hi, Andrew...thanks for your very nice comments on "The Other Side of Nowhere." Looks like you've been working with your brother on some nice images as well as some kewl stuff on Apophysis. Been kinda busy doing putting together some video for some graduations, but, despite the fact that I haven't commented much, I want you to know I really like your new work!
Wen
Thanks again for the ever present comments. I am using one of my sister's laptops right now, so I should be able to lend a comment or two to you.
My normal compy is not only depressed, but now it seems to be running a high fever as well as a nasty flu. Poor thing... I just hope that I can retrieve my pictures. I have about 1/8th of them backed up (which is what I was doing when it became depressed), but I will still lose roughly 2 gigs of pictures if I can't get them back.
Your favorites gallery is seeming more and more obeise. Maybe it should start eating better. I am fairly certain that none of my work is healthy for it... :-D
Thanks for the comment on "Himalayas from space" Actually, both sides of that mountain range are in India. Most of the different colors used to represent countries really tend to depend on the mapmaker's preference more than anything else. The yellow color that you see in the photograph is that color because of the high intensity colors generated by the satellite that took it--I don't actually think it's that color in reality :) Ok that was a really longwinided answer to your question, sorry :-P
Hi Andrew...What are you doing up at this hour young man? Just kidding. I made Enchantment with Ultra Fractal and I appreciate your nice comments on a lot of my images. I have a Chaoscope image rendering even as we speak that is going to be dedicated to you and Alex, so look for it and I hope you will like it.
Andrew.....(1) Your support is flattering and much appreciated. (2) Ya don't have to like everything I do....EXAMPLE: The two versions of "The Morning After."....You clearly liked the first red/bronze version, but seemed to feel compelled to rate them both highly and put them in your favorite folder. I assure you that I wouldn't be hurt in the least if you favored one and only put one into your favorites folder. (3) You're such a nice guy! <G> Take care!
Wen
You remembered my first upload of Koda, Andrew! I took another shot of him with his "favorite toy" yesterday and may upload it as well. It's much higher resolution than the first one I uploaded. That was the first image I uploaded to Caedes and I'm flattered that you remember! Glad you liked "Summer Thoughts" of him!
Wen
Heya Andrew :D
Thanks for the lovely comment on *Faerie Flower*...I'm very pleased you liked it ^_^
Alot of my ideas do tend to come while in doing my nails, hehe...dunno why...
Thanks again :]
